We came to celebrate 21th birthday with a family and we all had an incredible time together. Food was excellent , but honestly pricy our waitress the sweetest young girl and very spontaneous and made our experience so special like we know her forever! The atmosphere very nice, clean and friendly. It was a wonderful evening!

When I say this is my favorite restaurant right now... I truly mean it! This is the hottest spot in Bergen county to eat or grab a drink currently! From expectational service, exquisite food to their new-age modern ambience. This place is a 100/10. The crowd is of all ages, young and fun, romantic, date night, family vibe, singles ready to mingle. The 5 times I've come to this spot its always popping (basically a line out the door). As soon as you walk in you're ALWAYS greeted by my favorite hostess Tiffany. She's a sweetheart and is so attentive! I have a preference of sitting next to the bar, but not at the bar... I know, I'm annoying LOL. They have these bar top tables, that are my favorite. The assistant GM Angela always greets me as soon as I get in, and literally walks me right to them. Angela always makes sure I get my favorite table, and ensures I'm always making a follow up reservation towards the end of my visit. She's always so accommodating, she is a sweetheart!! When I say the staff is absolutely incredible, I mean it whole heartedly. All of my servers were super attentive and checked in multiple times even on the busiest Fridays! They made sure they were at my service, without even asking. The ambiance is moody, fun, young, and sexy. The lighting is mysterious and toned down, the colors are very earthy, browns and green. I am so obsessed with the lighting in this place, it really sets the vibe. Now last but not least, the FOOD.  So here the my cheat sheet (on what to get). What I order, in this order is the following:  1st- The Tuna Crudo  2nd- The Crispy Rice 3rd- Candied Bacon  4th- Caesar Salad   *This is all appetizers, then the following for our meals.* 5th- Chophouse Burger w. Disco Fries 6th- Chicken parm  7th- Onion rings Last but not least I ALWAYS get the mezcal mules, my girls get the lechee martinis. I hope you guys love this place as much as I do! It's giving NYC restaurant, but in NJ!

Had such a great experience at Capons Chophouse. The food was excellent, the service was amazing, and the ambiance was perfect. They play great music, the drinks were really good, and the whole vibe just made for such a fun night out.

A few months in and kicking on all cylinders! Ambiance and service as good as week one and zero disappointments as you work your way through the menu. The fritto misto appetizer is a must and the prime dry aged NY strip is the best iteration of this cut to be had in the Tri-State area. Will be back for more!

Excellent new Chophouse! We started with east coast/ west coast oysters, delicious! We both had the 8oz Peppercorn Filet with whipped Potato. Both cooked perfectly medium rare. Service was nice, we didn't feel rushed as the reservation did give a time limit.

This review is just for drinks. They premix almost all the drinks on their menu, leaving some flavors being overpowering. At 22 dollars I felt that a freshly mixed drink would be nice. I understand the theory is that every drink poured is the same but some alcohols taste differently after sitting together for a while.

Came for lunch with family around 2 and it was still quite busy inside, especially at the bar area. Inside is very beautifully decorated, with a nice Christmas tree up front which helped distract the kiddo for a bit. Service was exceptional, able to handle my sneaky credit card give at the beginning of the meal, thank you both to our hostess and server! :) Tried the chop burger..wow, outstanding. Fries were delectable. The side salad is more of a frissé which I think I would pass on next time and could use more dressing, but honestly that's the only thing to quip about. Candied bacon and onion rings to start were very good too. Pumpkin old fashioned is a must try if youre into OF's. Also outstanding. Sure a little pricey but had a great experience.

Capons Chophouse is fairly new and fits perfectly in my wheelhouse. Had to come. Once we entered we were welcomed by the hostess and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Quickly seated in a beautiful corner booth. The lights are dim, but it's not dark. It has a high end typical steakhouse feel to it, but not overdone. It was decorated just right. This was an anniversary dinner and when we sat down there was a card on the table for us from the restaurant. Unreal. What a nice gesture. Our server Makayla was welcoming and we started off with cocktails: Pumpkin spiced old fashioned- beautiful looking cocktail. Tasted amazing, it has a bite with that Elijah Craig bourbon. Slightly dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives- made just right. For appetizers: Bread service- the foccacia bread had such a beautiful crisp to it, that when you cut it with the knife, it snapped like a chip. That paired the inside of a cloud. Perfection. The ricotta and hot honey spread didn't stand a chance. Mopped up everything. The Caesar- well seasoned with a good portion of dressing. Not too much where it's soggy, but enough to coat all of the pieces just right. Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna- very light and nice. It was a refreshing take. It's like a puffed rice cake with spicy tuna on top. Lamb Chop Lollipops- amazing. Tender, juicy and packed full of flavor. I do feel there was an excessive amount of oil in the chimichurri. The lamb was sitting in a pool of oil. Just dabbed that off and it was good to go. I paired the Etna Rosso red wine with the apps. *This is how wine should be brought to the table. I ordered by the glass. You should still bring the bottle out for me to see before pouring. Not only did this happen, I got to taste it as well. Most places only do this when you get the bottle. The plate clearing was impeccable. Maybe an empty plate sat for 30 seconds before it was taken away. Entree- 20 ounce Chateaubriand med rare - beautifully cooked. The crust on this was insanely good. Sides: Charred broccolini - perfectly cooked broccoli with amazing seasoning. Loaded whipped potatoes- fluffy and airy. Beautiful Brussel sprouts with Bacon- I feel that this one was a little too sauced up. The glaze was a lot on there. It drowned out the brussel sprouts too much. Little less in my opinion and it would've been perfect. It took away from the crispness of the brussel sprouts. Bacon pieces were fire. I just picked those out and ate those. This was the only food we didn't finish here. I paired the Cabernet, Beckmen with the Entree. Crumbing was done in between courses. Amazing. Dessert: The carrot cake was recommended by the manager Ana. It was HUGE! And soo good. We both couldn't stop eating it. They comped the dessert which was extremely nice and not expected. That paired perfectly with espresso martinis. 3 beans. Amazing foam, beautiful. I got 2 of them, because I was vibing. The music is upbeat and its a playlist for everyone. Everything, from the staff/ service, the quality food, paired with above and beyond touches, makes this place amazing. Would highly recommend.

Moscow Mule (in a normal glass) :-/

This restaurant is in the old LT space. Similar ambiance. We did walk in without a reservation. Was told a table would not be available till closer to the end of the night which was closer to 9-9:30; yet there were several tables that were open for quite a bit while we were at the bar. Was told that reservations were full but bar is first come first serve. There were 2 seats that were available but then were told they were "reserved for VIP". Interesting that was originally told the bar was first come first serve but yet they were reserving spots; gives the impression that only select customers are "important" to them. Okay fine! The crowd was mixed for a Saturday night. From younger geographic to an older crowd. We finally got seats. Our bartender was James & he was phenomenal! If you get him.. you're in great hands. That was the best part of this experience. The food was okay. It wasn't anything "special". We ordered "Little Lettuce Lobster Lettuce Wraps" and it definitely lives up to that name; "little"! The shrimp cocktail looks fancy but just average shrimp cocktail. The Market Salad was refreshing. It had a nice miso-orange dressing that was tasty. I ordered a Moscow Mule and was disappointed they didn't have the normal copper mug for it. Not usually typical to have a Moscow mule out of a normal glass, but okay! It was interesting to even be able to hear the waitstaff bickering in front of the customers. At one point (it's believe to be one of the managers) was telling another one of their employees "idk who they think they are.. I'm their boss" - not so very professional to be having such conversations near the customers. I went to this place. Experienced it, but won't be returning.

Service & Food is 1st Class. Tried a few of the appys as well as the focaccia bread. Pork Chop and Filet. "Glazed" Brussels Sprouts (W Bacon) and Napa Cab. The Focaccia Bread Appy was something different; well seasoned, crisp and served w (honey) and ricotta on the side. The chops like butter. Perfectly cooked. Nice. That sums it up outside of - Just Go.

Unexpectedly went here for dinner and it was exceptional. The decor alone is gorgeous, it feels very high end and is very aesthetically pleasing. From the bartenders to the wait staff and servers, it feels like you are at a Michelin star establishment. I went in not knowing anything outside of TikTok reviewed and having visited a few chophouses, I knew what to expect but the food and drinks here are all standouts! The seafood is fresh, the steak is perfectly cooked and everything from the cocktails, to the apps, to dessert is delicious and decadent. Come hungry. You're going to want it ALL. Also - Truffle Oil Disco Fries?! Honey.

Late post: Had visited Capon's for a late Valentine's Day dinner in February. We made the reservation in advance and upon arrival we were seated right away. The hostesses offered to take our jackets which was a nice offer. We started with drinks and an appetizer. We got an old fashioned, espresso martini, and some calamari. The drinks were excellent! The calamari was fresh and served with some fried peppers and dipping sauces of a marinara and a mayo. For the entree we ordered the tomahawk with onion rings, fries, and broccolini. The tomahawk was cooked perfectly and super tender and literally melts in your mouth. The onion rings and fries were super crisp and the broccolini was sautéed with garlic. Everything was delicious! Overall it was a great meal! Service was excellent as the servers and managers checked up on everyone. The restaurant has a nice romantic aesthetic and plenty of seating. I def recommend making a reservation in advance. I will def visit again.

    Cold steak, no char $185...

Let me start off by saying I live in the city and I've been to almost every single NYC steakhouse you could name. I was excited when this opened in Hackensack because it brings the class and reputation of the city to NJ, right near where my dad lives. So we went for his birthday. The place is very nice. Brown leather banquettes. Black marble style tables...everything you'd expect a steakhouse to be, in terms of design at least. Servers were friendly and attentive. Now for the negative.... We went for lunch so I understand the lunch menu is usually more limited. But when I asked for mashed potatoes with our $185 tomahawk steak...not available. The celery root puree which was available with the salmon we ordered, and was so good, we were denied when we asked if we could order more of that (of course I would pay extra). I mean, come on. It's a steakhouse. There was no starch available for lunch except French fries. I'm not a child and I don't want fries with my $185 tomahawk. Now, for the steak. I was underwhelmed by the size of the tomahawk. It seemed a bit smaller than other tomahawks I've had. It was also cold and served on an ice cold plate. I was missing the sizzling hot steak plate from Luger's. The steak was cooked to a nice med rare as requested, but the outer part of the steak lacked that crisp char-grilled flavor. Like it was just roasted without a sear or broil on high heat. Then when we ordered dessert, we selected the banana split sundae, which was on the menu they gave to us, and they also said it's not available for lunch. Why give me a menu which had a dessert I was specifically looking forward to before I even arrived, and then tell me I can't have it at lunch time. If that's the case, take it off your menu! But since it was their mistake and they showed that menu to me, I feel they should've accommodated us. Anyways, I was a little disappointed at our $600+ lunch for my dad's birthday. I'd expect a little more attention to detail, more selection (even with lunch), and for them to be more willing to accommodate customers. Capon has a good reputation, but for his name being on the front of the building, I'd expect more. For g*d sakes we're paying NYC prices at a mall restaurant. They should be happy we made the trip out, when we could've gone to any other steakhouse in the city.

I usually come here for the steaks but they stopped taking cooking temperature requests.. So now I just get the Buger instead of a steak.. My Cheeseburger came out perfectly, great flavor all around and cooked perfectly to my liking. Fries were great as well.. I had to start with their huge baked potato which did not disappoint at all. Actually it's my favorite Baked potato on earth so far. My friend had the half chicken which looked amazing and tasted as good as it looked. Our waiter, Arron, was very attentive and accommodating throughout our meal. That was pleasant. And as far as the restaurant atmosphere, it's always been a great and perfect experience. They have really nice lounge style music playing lightly in the background, so no loud music blasting in your ears. Overall it was a great time and meal. I'll be back soon. Alright yall! I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.
