TLDR: a great smash burger spot located pretty close to downtown East Rutherford. Definitely recommend. This was a highly recommended spot I received so I gave it a try. Huge fan of burgers/smashburgers so was extremely excited to try. Staff was friendly, establishment was clean and bright and the service was quick Hausburger: nice soft bun paired with a flavorful patty that was not overwhelmed by their Haus sauce. Being that it's National Hamburger Month, we did our research and came across this establishment. Parking can be a little rough on a busy Park Ave but we found one right in front after doing a few laps around. Inside can be a little tight. There's maybe 2 tables and possibly 4 stools with a small counter. You can potentially eat inside but I'm taking it that it's more of a takeout kind of joint. I got the Big Haus and the wife and kids got the regular single burger. Mine came with two patties, bacon, cheese, caramelized onions and Haus sauce. Everything was very fresh, made to order and perfectly cooked. The beef patties were very juicy, perfect cheese ratio, onions were awesome. All around, a solid burger. I also got an order of cheese fries. Fries were a little soggy and cheese was in a small cup on the side. The soggy nature can be because it was sitting in it's own steam on the drive home. All in all, a very solid burger. I will go back to try their chicken sandwich and I'm curious about their chopped cheese sandwich. If you're in the area or walking by and hungry..... This is the ONLY spot to get a burger -- easily the best in town! The sauce they use is delicious and really sets it apart. The only downside is that occasionally the fries can be a bit too greasy, but it doesn't take away from how amazing everything else is. read more

I just parked the car and was heading to the Chinese take-out place, and I caught the smell of sizzling burgers. I looked around and spotted this new place, BURGERSTRASSE, don't ask me to pronounce it I just want to eat it. The menu is uncomplicated, I ordered a double cheeseburger with onion rings and fries on the side to go. I didn't wait to get home I was there in my car chomping away with cheese on my face, licking my fingers. Oh man did that burger hit the spot. That night I dreamed of that burger it was right above me as if it was floating in clouds, I reached for it and woke up it was 5 AM. dammm...... and BurgerStrasse doesn't open till 11:30. read more

I passed this place on my way to another store and figured I'd give it a try. This is after eating White Manna and Five Guys in a week's span (had White Manna burger the day before). I bring up these two places because they are my go-to spots in the neighborhood and using them as a benchmark. I ordered the BigHaus Burger and Fries. Really liked the burger. This place isn't afraid to season and you could definitely taste the seasoning in the burger patty. Patty also had a nice crispy crust. The fries were also nice and crispy on the outside but soft in the middle and not burnt. Also had a nice amount of salt but not overly seasoned. Guy who took my order was friendly and acknowledge that he saw me checking out the place earlier. He made a bold prediction that I would enjoy my meal not knowing the foodie that I am and I would have to say that he is right. This may become my new go-to place for burger in the neighborhood. Price wasn't bad either. Giving a 4 for now (my ranking is 87 out of 100) but will come back to try the shake and also test for consistency but open to increasing score with more visit. However I would highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood and looking for a good burger. read more

I loved this place so much that I had to download the Yelp app and create an account. I literally just finished my shake! My family and I pass it every Tuesday and Thursday after my daughter's MMA class at Notorious MMA. Whenever you pass, you can always see people inside smiling and having a great time. We would keep passing it and saying next time. I regret waiting this long to try it. The food is sooooo good! If you love Shake Shack, you'll DIE for this place. We had the chopped cheese with side of onion rings, Haus Burger with side of French fries, Hausbites burger, and strawberry milkshake. NOTHING is left. The onion rings were crunchy and flaky. The French fries were crunchy and soft in the middle (I don't know how they did that). The burgers are perfectly seasoned. My 5 year old daughter who is a picky eater ate the Hausbites Burger all by herself! I didn't even have to ask her once to keep eating. She didn't even use ketchup!
