Of course, I can't say I was expecting anything spectacular from here but everything was below even those low expectations. The spicy salmon/tuna rolls were mostly composed of bread crumbs. I also ordered a small chow mein but got something else which I am still not sure what it is (see photo - if you know what this is, please let me know). Overall, I feel like "Meh" is the best word to describe it. If you really have no other choice, then I'm sure you can sometimes get lucky and get something decent here. I don't really believe all these negative reviews. We have ordered for delivery from here at least 5 times. The food arrives hot, and fast! We are about 4 miles away and we consistently order from here because they're the fastest food delivery we have ever experienced!! We ordered a kani salad which was good but a little small. We also ordered general tso's chicken, chicken and broccoli and Thai style fried rice. The food is delicious and they give you plenty!!! We always say we over order but it's cheap enough and good to eat the next day so it's not a big deal. My 2 year old loves their wonton soup, he drinks it like juice! Small Chinese/Japanese joint in a small plaza. I came here about 5-6 years ago and wanted to revisit it, as I remember it having the best spicy salmon I've ever come across in my life. Back then, it had the typical Chinese take-out storefront, with a Japanese bar/seating area in a separate room. Looks like they had to downsize, as what the seating area used to be is now a Latin restaurant. Upon walking in, it is now your standard Chinese take-out store, with a very tiny, two seat bar on the left for the sushi. There are about two more seats by the window, and another small table by the wall. Unfortunately, it's definitely not a place you can sit with a group of friends anymore. I ordered the Riverside special roll (spicy salmon with crunchy lobster salad and seaweed salad, tobiko with eel and spicy mayo sauce) and the Fair Lawn special roll (spicy tuna crunch wrapped around shrimp tempura and avocado with eel and spicy mayo sauce). Both two very delicious rolls, and the Fairlawn roll was just as I remember it years ago. Another thing I distinctly remember about this place was how they never overloaded on rice. Still true to this day! Ingredients are always fresh. Their special rolls come in counts of 6 pieces, or at least the two I ordered did. They served the two rolls on two plates. The first roll came on a nice, rectangle porcelain plate. The second, which came out about 5-10 minutes later, came out on a circle styrofoam plate. It was slightly odd. I don't see why they just couldn't plate it together on a nice plate? I did not show signs of being in a rush, so it's not like they were trying to serve as fast as they could. Overall a good sushi place to check out if you're in the area, but it's probably better if you take it to go/get it delivered if you're with people. read more

Got sushi, soup and salad delivered yesterday from here. Their delivery was on time. The salad was good. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. The wonton soup was ok. The sushi was bad. Just straight up bad. I don't know how you can mess up sushi like this. Isn't it supposed to just be inherently delicious? Maybe it was the combination of the fish in the rolls. Maybe sushi requires some kind of seasoning or prep and Six Happiness didn't do it. I don't know people. Reading into the reviews here on yelp, I see the consensus is the Chinese food is good but the Japanese food isn't. I would come back here for Chinese food to give them a fair chance. read more

We moved to this area a few months back and this place is very close to us. I saw the less-than-stellar reviews and was hesitant to order. My husband decided to give them a try and we ordered Chinese. It was good. Just as good as any other Chinese take out. I would say the flavors were on the mild side but the food was tasty. After ordering Chinese a few times, we decided to try the sushi. Honestly, that was pretty good too. Maybe not as amazing as some of the expensive sushi places out there but definitely many steps above supermarket sushi. The prices are very fair and the menu is full of Chinese and Japanese food choices. All of this in a hole in the wall place. I have to give this place one star for the terrible atmosphere, bad service, and not so great sushi. 1.) Sushi - I enjoyed the Naruto roll, but they were cheap on the roe and gave a tiny amount of wasabi. I also tried the brown rice Alaskan roll and eel avocado roll, but the rice was hard and the flavor was a bit off (I think it was the seaweed). Really not even close to being good sushi. 2.) There was only one lady working and she was busy watching the Chinese food section of the restaurant, therefore not paying much attention to the sushi bar. There is a small sit down area for Chinese and plenty of space at the sushi bar, since this is primarily a take out place. There doesn't appear to be a wait staff and noisy children and customers ordering take out ruin the ambiance for any potential sit down customers. Definitely a foodie joint. I was ordering through GrubHub and had not encountered any problems previously. The food is decent, not the best sushi or Chinese I've had but good. My problem was as follows: I ordered the "Sushi for 2," where one of the options (on GrubHub) is choosing between either a spicy roll or rainbow roll. I chose the rainbow roll but it arrives with a spicy roll. I don't particularly enjoy spicy rolls so I was not pleased. I called the restaurant to let them know of the mistake. I was told that "a rainbow roll is not an option with the Sushi for 2." I told her that was the option on GrubHub and they should honor what is offered, to which she replied the same denial several times. I hung up. When I'm in Fair Lawn this is the usual Chinese Food spot I go to. Introduced to me by my girlfriend and I haven't looked anywhere else. Service: I always pick up my order so I don't know how the delivery time and situation goes but as for my orders being correct and made quickly they get a solid A. The woman behind the counter is very friendly and works very efficiently. Location: The place is actually two lets say "areas". The left side is the chinese food side and the right side is the japanese food side. So they have basically combined chinese food and sushi, which is a great combination. There are a few tables you can sit at but this place is primarily take out. Food: The food is great here. I usually order the general tso/ao chicken. Whatever version they have and I'm always satisfied with my portion. You can order anything basically and be happy with what you get. I wont speak for the sushi half because i haven't ordered anything from that side yet. All in all. Solid place. try the chinese and sushi combination if you cant decide. Half the experience is feeling welcomed by the owner. In the end all you really want from a chinese food place is: speed and quality. This place has it. Try it out. read more

New owners, Gina and the old crew are gone. I was a loyal 6 Happiness customer for 2 years, ordering just about every week or so. With Thanksgiving and being busy we didn't order for a few weeks. This past Sunday, I noticed most of the pictures and awards that have always been hanging by the register missing. Didn't see any familiar faces but I ordered anyway. Well after speaking to some of the other people waiting for their pick up they mentioned the original owners have sold the restaurant and the new crew took over at the beginning of Nov. There is not too much to say here.. The food was miserable, half of the order was missing and the traditional free 2 liter of soda with purchase over $50 dollars was gone.
