This was our first time at the restaurant, we around 5pm on a Saturday and had our choice of seats, we sat in outside in their outdoor patio. The ambiance was nice, it was clean and some delightful plants adorned the outdoor space. We ordered the Aegean Salad, the Calamari appetizer and the whole fish/branzino as a shared main. The restaurant includes olives and grilled pita and it's served warm. The combo of the salad and the pita was really nice, the salad ingredients were fresh and lovely. The Calamari was equally as fresh and the oils and seasoning were pretty much perfect and again eating it with the pita was a real treat. The grilled branzino was cooked perfectly and simply put one of the best pieces of fishes i've had. The fish came with a side of stewed veggies that were absolutely delicious and honestly the veggies alone are worth a return trip. i can easily see why the reviews are so positive for Aegean Estiatorio, it was truly an excellent meal, especially at a time where prices are so high and one is forced to question the value, this restaurant is really an exception. This restaurant was good in general. I wasn't feeling it 100% but food was tasty and i guess that's what it matters. We called it last minute for table for 2 outdoor or inside they said unfortunately only outdoors because inside is totally booked and we were okay with that but we realize it was pretty empty when we got there by the time we left too it wasn't full inside either so that leaves us with disappointment and not fully honesty in my book and I don't appreciate that. The service is wonderful. The staff is great very welcoming. The host was very attentive. The restaurant setting is beautiful. It's very Greek like you also have outdoor dining, which I love the outdoor dining. I have been here a total of three times and I tell you this much the food is on point not to be disappointed the flavors everything it's like every time you go there it's like you feel that first experience that you had if you're looking for another Greek restaurant that you have not tried. 2 words: absolutely superb! There's something to be said about the warmth you feel from Greek hospitality and Aegean Estiatorio personifies it! My husband and I came here with another couple who are frequent patrons. It's as if we were all welcomed into someone's home. This was our first time dining here and I expect we will be back. The meal and service was excellent. Outdoor patio was nice. Before I describe the details of the meal I will explain why it is four stars instead of five. One reason and one reason only. Charging $32 a pound for the fish that you were going to have for your entree is greedy and unnecessary. Our Branzino cost $60. if it was $40 I would consider that expensive and more than almost anywhere else you'd get it but $60 is pure Insanity on their part. Yeah there are some Mediterranean restaurants that do that but most don't it's just pure greed. With that said I must say the food was delicious. We loved the grilled calamari and the saganaki. I met some friends for dinner. The waitress was excellent! Very friendly and funny. The lemon chicken soup was off the charts delicious. I was pretty disappointed with the Greek salad, however. For $20, the size is pretty small, and they don't give you any kind of Greek dressing. Just oil and vinegar. Kind of sad actually. I would probably go back and try something different. read more

I love Aegean Estiatorio (Restaurant). It provides absolutely authentic and utterly delicious and fresh Greek cuisine. The setting is lovely, with a light, airy feeling, comfortable seats, and colorful paintings of scenes from Greece. The food is amazing. I am a vegetarian, so I had a combination plate of Hummus, Tzatziki, roasted eggplant and garlic dip, and also an order of grape leaves stuffed with rice. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. While these dishes are fairly standard fare at Greek restaurants, the quality and freshness far exceeded any Greek food I've had elsewhere. Ever. Dessert was baklava, and was filled with nuts and honey. How can I explain it? The food was real. It was made with love. And the server was friendly and charming, and just wonderful. I told her about my desire to visit Greece, and she talked about places to go. She is extremely friendly and kind. Her husband is the gifted chef who made the wonderful meal for us. Aegean brought me and my husband so much joy. We had wanted to try this place for a while and finally did. The food was incredible authentic and the service was wonderful. We ordered the grilled calamari and spanakopita to start and both were delicious. The calamari was perfectly tender and not rubbery which is when we knew everything else would be great. The spanakopita brought us back to the spanakopita we had in Ioannina. The phyllo was thick (which is the best) and the spinach feta filling was flavorful without the feta being overpowering. I ordered the bakaliarakia for my entree with a side salad and my husband ordered the bifteki with briam and we shared a big side of Horta. The Balaliarakia was outstanding and came piping hot to the table. It was perfectly fried and the fish itself was incredibly fresh. There is nothing more that I love than a small Greek fish and this one hit all the expectations and more. The side salad was great as well. The Horta was in abundance and seasoned with dill and lemon. My husband said his bifteki was nostalgic and reminded him of one's his dad cooked when he was younger. The tzatziki that came with it was thick, creamy and filled with dill and cucumber. The briam was also incredible coming in an olive oil, dill and other spices mixture that I recommend dipping pita into. My husband never eats potatoes and he ate almost all of his briam (I say almost all because I had to try some). I could not leave this restaurant without trying their portokalopita (orange pie). This is my all time favorite Greek dessert and finding it in the US proves impossible. The piece we received was massive and bursting with flavors of orange, cinnamon and vanilla. The texture was perfect and it being served cold brought it to next level. Their portokalopita ranked in the top 3 orange pies I have ever had. Aegean was amazing and I cannot recommend it enough. If you love traditional Greek food then this is the place to go. The food felt like it was made with so much love and age old Greek family recipes. We will be coming back I am sure numerous times and you should too. Pro tip: make sure you make a reservation on advance they were packed and had to turn away those customers that didn't have reservations. read more

Went for lunch. The service was nice and the ambiance was good. The food was good. I ordered the lunch special hanger steak and it was good. The portion was a tad small but I guess you just have to keep in mind it's one skewer of meat. The gyro seems more packed with meat, which is the other plate my friend ordered. Generally the food was better the last time we were here a few months ago. Specifically, the best dish was the fried zucchini. The spanakopita pie, while it tasted good, was too crispy and thinner than last time. Falafel had nothing special about it and you can buy a tastier hummus in Shop Rite. My gyro sandwich was surprisingly sparse of meat, tomatoes and onions. When the waitress asks you, in the middle of this pretty but almost empty room, "do you have a reservation?," you have to scratch your head. Very unnecessary. read more

Authentic Greek with fabulous service. It was a new restaurant taking over an older space (or so I was told by a local), so the decor was new, as was operations. I'm sure that considering how conscientious the staff were, it will work out. My Gyro plate with lemon potatoes and Greek salad included a generous slice of proper feta and a big dollop of Tzatziki sauce. Ths strips of gyro could have been better seared, but that is a style rather than a necessity as the gyro was delicious. The chicken souvlaki was well seared. The fries were interesting in a very good way. There were small round discs, crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the insides. Well seasoned and flavored! The highlight of the lunch, though, were the desserts. Even though we were stuffed, we thought that we could share the Ekmet Kataifi. A dessert that we had only just discovered a couple of nights prior, and which must have been the best thing I've discovered in decades of being a foodie. So, we ordered one for four of us to share. The server turned up with a plate containing the ordered dessert, but also comped us the other dessert they had. The server who was Greek, told us that if we had just discovered her second favorite dessert, we had to try her favorite - Portokalopita. Racist establishment. Never experienced anything like this. I came in with my mother and 2 year old because we were a tad bit early for a birthday party I had booked down the street. We came in, cold and asked if they had coffee. The place had one table of patrons eating. They told us no that they could not accommodate us. My husband took our children and I to this spot for dinner. He highly recommended it after having lunch here with a colleague one day. My ratings are from 1-10. 1 being the lowest, 10 the highest. Service and staff: 10- We didn't experience the same unfriendly staff as some folks wrote here. The servers and staff were extremely accommodating and polite. They answered our questions, cleared our table when were done and replenished our water. They checked on us periodically to make sure we were good. Very nice people. Food: 10- We enjoyed everything we ordered. My husband had the lamb and it was delicious. We ordered chicken souvlaki, grilled shrimp and a gyro. We didn't leave a crumb on the table, lol. Their Greek fries are also very tasty. Ambiance and cleanliness: 10- tables were sanitized after every guest. Bathrooms were clean. And I saw them constantly sweeping the floors. The room and decor were very nice and they even had an outdoor patio. Overall, this place is a must! I highly recommend this restaurant even if you're not a huge fan of Greek food. Ambiance is ok. Food is over priced. Service is lousy. I was never asked if I wanted something to drink, wasn't even given a glass for the water in the carafe on the table. I guess I was expected to share a glass with my friends? When I asked for a container to take home my food, only part of it was packed up, not including the big scoop of tzadiki that was on my plate. On a Friday night out, my friend and I met up at this little spot, a local Greek Mediterranean restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was jammed packed, full house, every seat was taken. Although, the ambiance and decor aren't quite intimate, my friend and I had a nice table near the corner and it was a very comfortable spot. For starters we had the smoky eggplant dip and grape leaves. Both were great. I ordered the fish of the day which was a grilled dorado. It was fantastic! I had the Baklava for dessert which is also delicious. The restaurant is BYOB. My friend brought a nice bottle of red wine to share and we really enjoyed the meal and our conversation.
