Greek and American Easter were the same day this year. We had the perfect celebration thanks to Aegean Estiatorio. The staff are always kind and welcoming. We had the lamb, gyro platter, salmon, souvlaki, scallops and magritsa soup. Everything was delicious. Just like yia yia used to make. The decor is light, airy and comfortable.

This was my favorite dinner in recent memory in this area. I absolutely loved it here - the food, the service, the ambience. It was perfect. As soon as you walk in, it's bright and welcoming. There are families, couples, and groups of people enjoying a delicious meal. It's BYOB. The food is incredible. And it's truly a neighborhood hidden gem. Can't wait to be back!

Food, ambiance, and service was delicious! Appetite opening and savory food portions with lovely music, seating space that is both aesthetically pleasing and peaceful evoking feelings of being in Greece!

5 stars for the service. 4.5 for the food. The owner chef is engaging and no doubt loves to cook and please the patrons. I didn't take a pic of the "fries," but they were good too!! Go Evan. Found this place by mistake. Good mistake. Dessert. Oh yea.

Aegean brought me and my husband so much joy. We had wanted to try this place for a while and finally did. The food was incredible authentic and the service was wonderful. We ordered the grilled calamari and spanakopita to start and both were delicious. The calamari was perfectly tender and not rubbery which is when we knew everything else would be great. The spanakopita brought us back to the spanakopita we had in Ioannina. The phyllo was thick (which is the best) and the spinach feta filling was flavorful without the feta being overpowering. I ordered the bakaliarakia for my entree with a side salad and my husband ordered the bifteki with briam and we shared a big side of Horta. The Balaliarakia was outstanding and came piping hot to the table. It was perfectly fried and the fish itself was incredibly fresh. There is nothing more that I love than a small Greek fish and this one hit all the expectations and more. The side salad was great as well. The Horta was in abundance and seasoned with dill and lemon. My husband said his bifteki was nostalgic and reminded him of one's his dad cooked when he was younger. The tzatziki that came with it was thick, creamy and filled with dill and cucumber. The briam was also incredible coming in an olive oil, dill and other spices mixture that I recommend dipping pita into. My husband never eats potatoes and he ate almost all of his briam (I say almost all because I had to try some). I could not leave this restaurant without trying their portokalopita (orange pie). This is my all time favorite Greek dessert and finding it in the US proves impossible. The piece we received was massive and bursting with flavors of orange, cinnamon and vanilla. The texture was perfect and it being served cold brought it to next level. Their portokalopita ranked in the top 3 orange pies I have ever had. Aegean was amazing and I cannot recommend it enough. If you love traditional Greek food then this is the place to go. The food felt like it was made with so much love and age old Greek family recipes. We will be coming back I am sure numerous times and you should too. Pro tip: make sure you make a reservation on advance they were packed and had to turn away those customers that didn't have reservations.

So I am reluctantly giving this restaurant three stars. I say reluctantly because they tried hard…read moreto be attentive, but fell short and the food, while priced like a high end steakhouse also fell short and this is why. First the positives. Lovely atmosphere. The staff was polite and kind. The manager stopped by to chat and check in. The folks with me who ate the strip steak enjoyed it. It was tasty and cooked perfectly as they requested. That's good considering it IS a steakhouse. The negatives. It is not always the case that everyone in the party likes steak or likes every steak. So a good steakhouse will do the other options exceptionally well too. Particularly the meat. Here, they did not. I like ribeye. That's my favorite. They only offer a 24 oz ribeye, however, and since none of my peeps wanted ribeye (curses on them) I was up a creek. I don't like strip or filet. Didn't want pork. But I do LOVE a wedge salad, and few places have one. Steakhouses generally do. So I was quite happy to have one. Until I had it. They did not do it well. At all. First, the bacon... while it clearly began as a few lovely generous lardons, ended up four over cooked, hard as rocks bacon chunks. The chicken was dry and terribly overcooked. Hard on the edges. I would expect a steakhouse to get the grilled chicken breast correct. And the bacon is inexcusable. When the salad costs $30, you have to nail it. Could I have sent it back? I'm sure I could have. But looking at the neighbors' table, theirs looked the same so I figured what's the point. And I didn't want to be a Karen about a salad in a steakhouse. And I wasn't holding up my table's meal for a redo on a salad. At the end of the day, if you don't get something this simple correct, it is a fail. I'm sorry to say that. Truly. But it requires addressing. There are too many other options for good steak that do these non-steak elements right too.

This past weekend, we had a chance to experience something a little different -- a private event my cousin hosted there for his 30th birthday -- and it was fantastic. The event was a seated, sit-down dinner at the market, which isn't something they typically do, but they executed it really well. The evening started with passed appetizers (all delicious, as expected) and a table full of charcuterie. For dinner, my cousin opted for a seated "steak sampling" experience -- almost Brazilian steakhouse-style -- featuring tastings of five different cuts. There was also shrimp scampi served family-style, along with sides like roasted potatoes. Even with varying preferences for steak doneness across the group, they did an impressive job accommodating everyone. Huge props to the B&M team for pulling off something outside their usual offerings so seamlessly. This was my first time in the market itself, and it looked great -- clearly a great destination for quality meats and prepared foods. If I lived closer, I'd absolutely be a regular and would use them for catering for myself. Looking forward to more events with their food in the future!

Sit in a park. Devour said park. And take a long enough lunch that somebody, somewhere, somehow thinks of me. Once that occurs, I will return between the rock and the hard place of which sits a desk, a chair, brittle bones and a big but battered heart. This would feed a normal man for an entire day. I, to no surprise of the reader, am not a normal man. By the end of munching on this crunching I'm panting and sweating and clenching my chest. My cholesterol spike so high that a doctor wouldn't even be able to help. By 75% of sandwich completion I don't even want the rest. It's just my hard wired protocol that this whole pups gotta hit the pound. I just gotsss to complete my task. Don't to try help me. It's all part of my sick game. Love you, babes, have a beautiful day - LB.
