    Chicken Shawarma Hummus

Delicious! This restaurant set up a kiosk at the Tenafly street market fair and it was impressive. The street market was fantastic with live entertainment and various vendors. But the restaurant and its very friendly and courteous staff served up a fantastic dish. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant soon.

Went to Mami for a second time, this time with family for a weekend lunch. I made a reservation to ensure we don't have to wait for a table and we got one right away. It was cozy and warm, with cool snowy view outside. This time I tried some other items from the menu starting with Labneh, an appetizer made with soft yogurt cheese, olive oil and tomatoes. It looked so pretty. It came with one pita, the additional pitas ordered later were not. The mami burger with egg on top was amazing. The chicken shawarma wrap was so delicious. Loved the Rimonada lemonade as well, got multiple refills of it. Our server was friendly. All our food came in time. Checkout was fast and easy. During the whole time, all tables were full of guests. I was really happy to see the amazing new restaurant becoming popular in the neighborhood.

I'm a fan. My Israeli husband is always complaining that restaurants in the US are not as good as restaurants in Israel, and he loves Mami. Tastes just like Israel. I've come a few times and the food is always spot on. Just tried the schnitzel sandwich and fries and devoured it!

Experience was great. Chicken shawarma is delicious, we couldn't stop eating the eggplant chips in honey drizzle. My husband loves the Arais. And the Milk & honey dessert was a perfect balance of sweet and salty, without being too heavy. Great meal, lovely ambiance, super friendly staff. Looking forward to more meals here for breakfast & lunch as well. Yum!

Today I went to this place for breakfast/ brunch…read more I ordered a Farmhouse Cafe Breakfast with bacon and sourdough bread. I wanted something sweet too and I ordered a Red Velvet cake. I chose breakfast with scrambled eggs and it comes in a combo with coffee. I also chose the homestyle potatoes and everything was delicious and very well served. In fact, I had to bring half of everything to my house The house coffee here is very very good; I ordered 2% milk, but they only handle Skim , which is fine. And they also have brown sugar... yeiii!!! Customer Service is always excellent. My waitress was very friendly and very attentive. She remembered me...They are always aware of customers; respectful and very polite. The place is always very clean and super well decorated. You feel the place cozy, I really like coming here and I will continue to do so. Congratulations again, and God bless you!!!

Ordered wings and a gyro dish--the gyro was excellent, while the wings were tasty but slightly chilly and a bit dry. Not bad, but not the best. That said, I frequently order their salads to go and always enjoy them. The kitchen staff could use some additional training, as a nearby table complained about their order. The younger staff members were very attentive and hardworking--perhaps they just need a bit more guidance. Overall, it's a solid spot in town with plenty of seating and a BYOB option. While I personally prefer the Westwood location for its atmosphere, this one is convenient and charming, with both indoor and outdoor seating and ample parking.

Had an early Valentine's Day dinner with the wife the day before Valentine's Day. Brasserie Memere…read moreis an upscale French restaurant located in the Target plaza of Closter. The lighting is dim, the ambiance is intimate, and it looks romantic. I had made reservations so we were seated immediately. It's funny to note that the place settings were placed next to each other instead of across from each other at a four person table. We usually prefer to face each other, but when it's Valentine's day why not be cute? We ordered a few drinks during our dinner, the Sugar Plum Fairy, Memere 75, Avion en papier. My favorite was definitely the Avion en papier which had a slightly sweet, slightly bitter, citrusy taste. They had a pre fixe menu for Valentine's Day which unfortunately did not have the steak tartare i was interested in trying. But for $88, you get 3 courses: an appetizer, entree, and dessert. For our appetizers, we got the TARTARE DE THON (tuna tartare) and COCKTAIL DE CREVETTES GEANTES (shirmp cocktail). Between the two, i preferred the tuna tartare. The shrimp cocktail was good, but the only thing really special about it was the massive size of the shrimp and the freshly grated horseradish in the cocktail sauce. For our entrees, we got the CASSOULET DE CANARD and FILET MIGNON. The extremely tender duck leg confit was served with pancetta, white beans, toulouse sausage, and foie gras breadcrumb. It was rich, savory, fatty, and filling. All great words to describe food. The duck leg confit reminded me a little bit of a smoked turkey leg with the red coloring and shreddable texture. The filet mignon was served with pomme purée, wild mushrooms, and a bordelaise sauce. The filet was cooked medium rare as requested, but a bit under salted. The pomme purée aka mashed potatoes tasted like it was 50% butter so it was obviously delicious. Dessert was good, but my least favorite part of the meal. We got the TAHITIAN VANILLA CRÈME BRÛLÉE and the VALRHONA CHOCOLAT POT AU CRÈME. Both were very sweet. The brûlée crust did not shatter well, but it otherwise had a nice creamy texture. The chocolate pot was covered in flaky feuilletine which gave a nice contrast to the creamy chocolate, but my wife found the brandied cherries overpowering. The cherries made me think of German chocolate cake. Service was excellent. Staff was quick to refill water and checked on us constantly. Pace of the meal was relaxed and I'd even say they were slow to bring us the check since we had been dining for over 2 hours. My wife wants me to bring her back for their bottomless brunch on a Sunday so I will eventually be back.

The roll wasn't too bid, it was a medium size sandwich. The bulgogi beef was good but there was too much caramelized onion in it. I took some of them out of the sandwich. So as soon as I walked in, the first thing I got hit by was heat. It was extremely humid there. Within minutes of sitting down I was pretty uncomfortable with the humidity. One section of the café felt a bit cooler, but they didn't have any outlets. I really considered leaving and going to another spot... and an hour later, I did! PLEASE turn on the AC! I ordered an iced matcha latte (~$6) and it was underwhelming. It was powdery, tasteless, and there was way too much milk. It's hard to find a good matcha drink nowadays. Sigh. They do have an extensive food and drink menu. They offer coffee, tea, bubble tea, milkshakes, etc. Their food options are diverse and cater to breakfast (omelets, toast), brunch (sandwiches, salads, paninis), dinner (pasta, rice bowls), and dessert (gelato, pastries). Keep in mind their kitchen closes at 3:40pm (over 3 hours before they actually close???) and they stop making espresso drinks 30 minutes before closing. In my opinion, this café is more of a dine-in spot for a late breakfast or a light lunch. Nothing really stands out to me on their menu that I can't get at other places so I'm not sure if I'd come back. It is beautifully decorated and has a good amount of seating, but it's just not the most comfortable place for me to efficiently do work. I was just really turned off by the lack of AC and my disappointing matcha latte.

Not enough words can describe the amazing food here…read more I didn't know what to expect when stumbling into Country MKT diner, and you shouldn't too. Take those expectations and throw them out the window, and open your taste buds and mind to new flavors to homemade dishes that will blow you away. I heavily recommend the mozzarella sticks which are more like bricks of cheese dipped in seasoned coatings that will make other mozzarella sticks think of a new name when these melt in your mouth and pull apart perfectly. The homerun of a sandwich is the Bun Jovi which is a honey Sriracha chicken schnitzel slathered with swiss cheese, pickles, pastrami, and coleslaw. And this dream of a sandwich delivers. The blue seating booths make the diner fun , with high backs they provide comfort and some privacy to your conversations. The staff is beyond freindly and each make sure you are having the best dining experience. To many positives about Country MKT Dinner to name, but each will create a core memory.
