Tea-Quila Thyme cocktail.

I had no idea I was going to end up here for what turned into impromptu dinner and drinks - otherwise, I absolutely would not have accidentally had three slices of pizza and a piece of cake for lunch. That's the only regret I ended up having related to this experience, as this place ended up being absolutely perfect in every regard. My chum and I stopped by this past Thursday evening, which was a damp one for sure. We'd ventured over to Park Ridge for a visit to a gourmet market and noticed that there was a decent looking establishment across the street. Choosing not to be intimidated by the valet parking, we walked over and immediately made ourselves comfortable next to the bar in a cozy corner high top with plush seats. I'd taken a look at the cocktail menu beforehand, so I was fully prepared to go with the Tea-Quila Thyme, which featured chamomile-infused tequila, lemon juice and honey syrup. I'm not usually a big citrus fan, but this was perfectly made - definitely gave a rosy hue to the cheeks but was super tasty with the tequila not being overwhelming at all. This was mixology at its finest. I felt emboldened after that victory to order one more cocktail, the Fresh Cracked, which was bourbon-based with black pepper and my cocktail chum egg whites, but ultimately had a berry-centric flavor profile that hit the spot. The bartender 100% knew what she was doing. My intention was just to have a few drinks, but the app menu was just too interesting to ignore. We ended up sharing three different apps - a peach/burrata/prosciutto combo, a lemon gnocchi/crab dish and a loaf of focaccia with black garlic butter. All of it was out of this world with just the perfect blending of different flavors. My only mild nitpick (and I certainly didn't take points off for it) was that I thought texture wise, the peach was too crunchy. That's it. I've got no other constructive feedback to provide. My favorite was definitely the gnocchi, but it easily could have been any item I ingested. The star of the night could have been almost anything/anyone, but it's hard to argue it wasn't Ashleigh, our bartender/waitress. She was attentive throughout our meal even when the bar area got considerably busier, and very personable. Beyond that though, her intimate knowledge of the menus (she acknowledged she literally helped write them) was a huge asset for us and allowed for some educated choices that ended up paying off in a big way. Beyond that, the price point wasn't egregious, especially given that we were at a nice steakhouse in Bergen County with valet parking. With multiple cocktails and high-end apps, the bill was less than $100, which I'll take every time. Huge surprise, huge recommend.

Lovely staff and environment. The (expensive) cowboy ribeye steak, unfortunately, was lacking flavor and did not have a "wow" factor until seasoned with salt and pepper at the table. The scallops were delicious and came in a tiny cast iron skillet. The mashed potatoes, bacon, and creamed spinach were good, but nothing was bursting with flavor. They have a full bar separate from the dining area.

Porterhouse Steak

One of the top 5 best steaks I've ever had. The garlic butter served in the bone marrow definitely takes it to the next level (although the steak was still delicious even without it). The iceberg wedge salad and the cheesecake were also standouts. The service was also excellent being attentive but not on top of you or slow. The only minor nitpicks were the onion rings were good but not great (this is the only thing I felt was overpriced) and it was a bit cold where we were seated. But the overall experience definitely warrants 5 stars.

I was very lucky to go to a work dinner here! This is definitely once of the fanciest places I've ever been to. To start, some of us got the Sizzling Scallops. This was the single-most fanciest scallop I've ever eaten. It came in the cutest little cast-iron skillet and was so delicious--it melted in your mouth! We also split the Burrata in Bread which was so amazing! For dinner I got the Surf and Turf and it was delicious. I like my steak medium rare, and they cooked it to perfection. The lobster was also delicious! For dessert, I got their cookie skillet! The cookie was crunchy on the outside and ooey-gooey on the inside. It went so well with the vanilla ice cream on top. The servers were super attentive and very nice. Keep in mind, it's a little pricey, so it's definitely a special occasion place. Also, you need to dress up (I'm talking business casual) as it's a little more of an upscale place. Overall we had a great experience!

Stopped in for dinner and immediately liked the vibe of the restaurant. Wait staff knew their product well from the cocktails to the entrees. First course was a crunchy cheesy flatbread that was good but not great. Would have preferred a better bread course with choices of bread including olive oil or infused butter. My medium rare $24 burger entree came well done, a bit of a disappointment. My buddy's flounder entree looked and tasted good. Not sure if I would go back for the very expensive steak courses that were a la carte.

This place was a Diamond we found by accident. We went to an event across the street and it ended early and the food was to go so we walked across the street in the rain and happened upon this lovely place. Ashley the bartender was phenomenal is helping us with drinks and the menu which she said she drafted. The entire experience was enhanced by her knowledge and greet service. We have lived in the area for a while and never tried Park Steakhouse. It was my birthday so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, I was surprised by how crowded the bar was. It is small and no seats were available. We had a nice table that was circular and able to accommodate our party of 5 perfectly. Our waitress was kind and attentive. We first ordered cocktails. I had a lemon drop martini and I would rate it a 3.5/5. It was very sweet and I didn't care for the taste. The bread they gave you was like a long crostini covered with cheese. It was really tasty but there were red pepper flakes on it, which made it spicy! I like that but some other people in our party didn't. For appetizers, we had the crab cake which was really good and came with creamed spinach or something under it. We also had bacon which was probably the best thing we ate. Additionally we ordered the focaccia bread which was really good. We all ordered filets, some were petite and some were normal size and different levels of cooks. When they brought them out, we noticed that they did not look correct. We asked the waiter who passed them out and he double checked and said they were correct. We then said okay and started to cut into it, but by just looking at it, we knew they were not correct. I believe that at an established steakhouse, this is a mistake they should not be making. The steak was good, but nothing amazing. For dessert I had the chocolate lava cake and it was just alright. A side note- someone in our party mentioned that there was a birthday party in our group and they did not do anything to acknowledge it. We weren't looking for anything free, but we did order multiple desserts so we thought they would at least do a candle or something. I don't think we will rush back here. There are other steak houses I prefer.

Such a great dinner. Our apps and dinners were amazing, cooked to perfection, great size portions. Two bottles of wine and tequila shots to start the night. Nothing was overly salty. Mashed potatoes were creamy, asparagus was crisp. Zeppoles dessert was more like donuts but hot with a slight crunch and chocolate sauce. The only thing that didn't make the cut was the special salad with champagne vinaigrette, candied walnuts of which there was only a few, and green apples. It all fell flat due to little flavor. We also wished we had a server as opposed to the downstairs bartender, nice guy but we felt rushed.

Had a great dinner here last night. Sat outside very comfortably. Started with 12 raw oysters that were super fresh with good sauces. Also ordered Spanish octopus that was grilled and crispy but still tender with a great puttancesa sauce. My buddy had the porterhouse which is for 2 but he finished himself lol. It was over cooked but still has very good cut. I had surf and turf which was very enjoyable. Little undercooked and lobster little over but still very good. Wife had lamb chops which were nice and tender with mash and spinach. PS mine I made were better. With coffee we had the ricotta zeppoles which were amazing omg. Which a raspberry juice u inject into them wow so good. Also they comp all desserts because of the wrong temp on steaks which was nice Our waiter Eric was amazing really good guy and so professional. Felt bad for him he ran the whole outside dining. Way understaffed . Def a place to go for an occasion. Break your piggyback it's not cheap. Valet parking which is very easy Def a must try.

Mains: My wife ordered the "Codfather"consisting of cod, shrimp and scallops. Let's just say I made sure to keep my arms and hands on my side of the table and not attempt to try a sample from her plate with the fear of losing a digit. I ordered the fish and chips. Hey! It's fried, can't go wrong as a non-fish eater going with this route. Nope. Beyond my expectations. My last best fish and chips was at the famous take away at the Borough Market in London. This version? Fresh Cod, well done fries, homemade tartar sauce and coleslaw, just saved me the airfare to the UK. We have all ready been back twice. It is our new fave.

This past weekend, we had a chance to experience something a little different -- a private event my cousin hosted there for his 30th birthday -- and it was fantastic. The event was a seated, sit-down dinner at the market, which isn't something they typically do, but they executed it really well. The evening started with passed appetizers (all delicious, as expected) and a table full of charcuterie. For dinner, my cousin opted for a seated "steak sampling" experience -- almost Brazilian steakhouse-style -- featuring tastings of five different cuts. There was also shrimp scampi served family-style, along with sides like roasted potatoes. Even with varying preferences for steak doneness across the group, they did an impressive job accommodating everyone. Huge props to the B&M team for pulling off something outside their usual offerings so seamlessly. This was my first time in the market itself, and it looked great -- clearly a great destination for quality meats and prepared foods. From the ordering process to the presentation to the flavors, everything was absolutely top-notch. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the owner, Jon, who was phenomenal to work with from start to finish. Jon took the time to help me build out the perfect menu, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. His responsiveness and attention to detail really set B&M apart, you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in the food his team puts out. We kicked off the night with a fantastic spread of hors d'oeuvres. The sushi platter was fresh and beautifully presented, and the homemade guacamole with warm, crispy tortilla chips was a standout. The apple smoked bacon in honey chipotle sauce disappeared almost instantly; smoky, sweet, and addictive. The spinach & artichoke puffs were flaky and flavorful, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp tasted like something you'd get at a high-end restaurant. For entrees, everything arrived well-seasoned, and perfectly portioned along with serving/heating instructions. The Bell & Evans chicken parmesan in vodka sauce was a crowd favorite, tender, not overly breaded, and the sauce was rich without being heavy. The prime all-natural skirt steak with scallion sauce was the star. Cooked beautifully and packed with flavor. The pasta dishes, 4-cheese baked ziti and the orecchiette with Italian sausage, spinach, and light red sauce, were both excellent and tasted homemade. The Caesar salad, steamed string beans, and cheesy garlic bread rounded out the meal perfectly. Dessert was a refreshing fresh fruit salad, which was a great balance after the hearty main courses. What impressed me most was the consistency. Every single item was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Combined with Jon's personal involvement and guidance, the experience was exceptional from beginning to end. If you're hosting an event of any size, B&M Market should be at the top of your list. They helped make our dinner a hit, and I'll absolutely be using them again.

The rib special lacked the promise of the flavors of the chipotle bbq sauce that was promised and described in the menu -- the pork lacked flavor. The chicken Milanese appeared to have been deep fried in a fryer rather than pan fried per tradition. This made the thin slices a bit tough and chewy which was unexpected. Disappointing that I didn't listen to my server who tried to steer me in a different direction as he advised. We haven't been wowed here the last three visits but will give it another shot in a few weeks to see if things have changed for the better. Listen to your servers, people!!

The staff is always really nice and welcoming, and I consistently have a great time sitting at the bar. It's one of those spots where you can relax, have a few drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere. I highly suggest checking out their happy hour because that's where you really get the best value. For a gastropub the menu was short, yet sweet. I could've probably ordered anything on the menu and felt like I got an above average meal. I got the 4 leaves burger which was indeed a very above average burger accompanied by above average fries. Their duty was dutiful but did not have me barging over barrels for more. Nor did it for others, although everyone seemed to enjoy their meals in a bright and professional environment. As for lunch or dinner? I'd only come back again for work. But I've got a hinker, or maybe a tinker, that brunch in here would be quite nice. The day will come when I try it and I hope to be able to bring back better news than above average. LB usually doesn't do above average... as you know. But sometimes I like to make the unsung swan feel like a bell of a ball. What a guy. Four leaves. It's like that girl that's occasionally a 6 or occasionally an 9... you can't bring her home. But that girl that's consistently a 7 or an 8? You let her meet the fam. I don't where I'm going with this one. All I'll say is STOP. Stop going to Chipotle, Bubbakoo's, etc. when you could be supporting a better quality and friendlier priced location in El Azteca. In doing so - I notice a certain extensive tingle in my tummy. One that calls for mass amounts of food. In tandem, the shining sun begs me to bask in its warmth. I need to find some food. Sit in a park. Devour said park. And take a long enough lunch that somebody, somewhere, somehow thinks of me. Once that occurs, I will return between the rock and the hard place of which sits a desk, a chair, brittle bones and a big but battered heart. With my pension for poppin' sandwich and my expertise of my surround areas - radius of 45 mins in all direction - I half-conclude on Pop Empanada for my stroll, toll and roll. - TM'ing that don't even think about taking that line. Actually do think about it. And think about how you've never come up with something that original. This is in writing, I'm the first, I'm the last, I'm your everything. - Anyways, I take an 8 min drive out to a lot nearby and stumble in upon my order. The empanadas are solid, shrimp one is superior. Haven't tried them all. Not crying home to mama about em' but that's not the star of the show so it doesn't matter. I haven't tried everything and definitely should. But every time I'm feeling like I need to challenge my bowels I go straight for this Cuban Sandwich. My oh my. This thing may weigh 5 pounds. Packed to the brim. Sturdy bread. I mean it's literally one of the biggest boys I've ever corralled. It's tasty, tender, savory and sweet. Crunchy, chewy, choppy and neat. This would feed a normal man for an entire day. I, to no surprise of the reader, am not a normal man. By the end of munching on this crunching I'm panting and sweating and clenching my chest. My cholesterol spike so high that a doctor wouldn't even be able to help. By 75% of sandwich completion I don't even want the rest. It's just my hard wired protocol that this whole pups gotta hit the pound. I just gotsss to complete my task. This is probably the best Cuban I've ever had - in sandwich form... if you catch my straits of Florida drift. For the price, it is one of the best bang for buck sandwiches I've ever had. Highly recommend you give Pop Empanada a go. On a sunny mid week afternoon there's a hot chance you'll catch me reviving myself from a heart attack on the bench in the park only a stone throws away. What Tommy Greco, Chef Nicolas Pescatore, and their team are putting together here goes well beyond a typical night out. It feels curated, intentional, and genuinely exciting from start to finish. From the moment we sat down, the energy was right. The service was dialed in without being overbearing, and every course felt like it had a purpose. The tasting menu that night was a full experience, layered with creativity and bold flavor combinations that somehow all worked effortlessly. We started with a Snack Trio that set the tone immediately. Grilled mahi mahi with Aleppo pepper and charred lemon delivered bright, smoky notes. A rich foie gras with rhubarb jam on toasted milk bread struck the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The prawn toast on brioche with sesame, miso, and panko brought crunch and depth in every bite. The red snapper ceviche followed, incredibly fresh and vibrant, with yuzu lime, serrano, and green strawberry adding a unique twist that elevated the entire dish. Then came a stretch of courses that really showed off the kitchen's range. The tender greens with mortadella yakitori brought unexpected flavors together seamlessly. The caramelized onion casoncello with a light spicy vodka sauce, mascarpone, and prosciutto was rich yet balanced. The ramp lasagna bianco with white bolognese and béchamel was pure comfort, elevated to another level. For dessert, the strawberry rhubarb tartlet closed things out beautifully. Amaretto custard, toasted meringue, dark chocolate shell, olive oil, and sea salt created the perfect sweet finish without feeling heavy. We also added a couple of extras that were absolutely worth it. The East Coast oysters with lacto fermented melon mignonette were incredibly fresh and bright, and the 40 day dry aged filet mignon with house made NamJim Kosho was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Bottom line, this is not just dinner, it is an experience. The creativity, execution, and hospitality are all on point. We will definitely be back very soon because there is still so much more we want to explore and experience here. What makes it even more impressive is how they transform a humble empanada shop into such a refined and decadent dining experience. The ambiance was just right, intimate, elevated, and perfectly suited for a night like this.
