Very modern restaurant, very visually appealing. Ambiance causal and not too loud. Service was on point... two servers made sure table was taken care of the entire evening. Sadly the food was lacking, not what you'd expect for the price point. No where near the quality of Rails, No where near the flavor of NYC financial district steakhouses. Appetizers reminiscent of a college days visit to Houlihan's or TGIF. Main meals of lamb chops, lobster pasta, and Chilean sea bass were ok, but not what you'd expect for the price. Parking behind building, valet only. No valet to be seen when we arrived, yet a guy ran up to my car once I was almost parked.

Wow this place was excellent. Went with my family (4 adults) on an early Friday evening (6pm) and left stuffed. The ambiance was nice and the food was incredible. Our waiter was also super friendly and helpful when it came to ordering. The table bread: excellent! Nice variety and flavor. And the bread was hot!! I loved the bun with poppyseeds- had a nice onion flavor in it. Thick cut bacon: incredible. Savory salt bomb in the mouth. A must get. Lobster Mac & Cheese: the lobster was cooked very well and there was a decent amount of meat! I wish the cheese had a bit more flavor, but overall a solid side Ribeye for 1: my favorite item from the dinner. Perfectly cooked. Cut well. Massive portion. I'll be honest and admit I picked up the bone and cleaned that off. Porterhouse for 2: huge portion and also well cooked. It's clear this place knows how to cook steaks. (Notice we only got steaks for 3- this was PLENTY for all 4 of us, with a few pieces to take home) We didn't get a dessert but they brought us a plate of berries and cream. A delicious end to a fantastic dinner. Will definitely be back.

A long standing restaurant who recently moved across the street from their old location. The new location used to be an old bank building. Great meets for sure!

I had a fantastic meal at Allendale Steakhouse with my family this past weekend. First, the restaurant is beautiful, clearly just built/remodeled. Second, the wait staff was attentive (never had an empty water glass), knowledgeable, and even made some jokes with my mom who was having difficulty deciding what to eat. We started our meal with thick cut bacon and crab stuffed mushrooms. Both were fantastic but I am partial to crab so those were my favorite. Come with 6 mushrooms so it's perfect to share! However, the star of the show was the steak. We split a Porterhouse for 2 and Ribeye for 1 between 4 people. The ribeye had a fantastic flavor/crust and the porterhouse was very tender. Medium rare is the perfect temperature, but if you have people in your party who like it a little more done you should tell the waiter and they can sear a few pieces on the hot plate when it first comes out. The asparagus and man n cheese sides were good, but nothing special compared to the meat dishes we ordered. All in all, I would definitely return. It's BYO, which nicely saves some $$ for an already expensive meal.

Excellent food and ambiance! We visited the new location and I must say it was such a huge upgrade! Now the location matches how fabulous the food is. Service is always very attentive. Overall, one of my favorite steakhouses in the area for sure!

Not super impressed. This was mom's choice for her birthday dinner. The restaurant interior is absolutely beautiful. We sat upstairs and it was a little cramped. It's byob which is nice because I am afraid to see what they would charge for cocktails. I am not cheap and have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the state, but get ready for sticker shock. This was beyond even Nantucket prices and I don't quite understand why. We started with the calamari (nice crunch, sauce was bland), oysters (big hit), meatballs and stuffed mushrooms (big portion but again bland). Three of us had the porter house for 3 which is massive (I did not indulge), my husband had the surf and turf. The lobster he had was ok and the filet was dry , he never uses steak sauce and had to use some (it looked like Peter Luger sauce but it was overly sweet). I wanted something light so i opted for the crab cocktail (massive and delicious, finally something good!) and a baked potato (all i wanted was a simple sour cream and butter. The sour cream is mixed with onions/chives which I loathe and a very odd tasting butter). The desserts that everyone ordered looked nice but I gave up on the food at this point. I asked my husband in the car if it was just me but he said no it was all pretty off. Disappointed and won't be going out of my way to return. My stars are for the staff who are stellar and the crab cocktail.

We have been going to Allendale Steakhouse for years. We were so excited to hear about the new location. The next special occasion we had we made sure to make a reservation to go. This is one of our favorite spots for a nicer BYOB. The decor in the new spot is beautiful. I love how there is a nice tree when you walk in. We ate upstairs in the loft which I was excited about. A plus is there is a bathroom up there. We had a great seat, and service was excellent. They did not rush us at all. They brought both of our appetizers, one hot and one salad out at the same time and we told them we wanted to hot one first and salad after and they accommodated this. We had fried calamari which was delicious. Then we had the chopped salad and substituted the dressing for blue cheese and it was outstanding. The steaks are still as good as they were before, I love how they get a nice crust on the outside and still red on the inside. For a side, I had the creamed spinach which I enjoyed a lot. For dessert, we had cheesecake which was really good as well. We will definitely be back again soon!

    Porterhouse for two!

The roast beef was super dry, barely any pink, and the au jus sauce looked like the last bit scraped from the bottom of the pot. Very light in color when it should be a rich dark brown. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Nada! MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada! RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Dined from 5:45 - 7:15 PM on a Friday and most of the evening crowd was older and there weren't many families with kids. There were maybe 2-3 families with kids, but they left by 6:15 PM. Most of the groups were groups of 4, seemingly catching up during a nice meal. CONCLUSION -------------------- = I was pleasantly surprised by the experience we had here. We started off with a crab cake, their new truffle grilled cheese, and their lobster roll which was a special. The lobster roll, prepared Maine style with caviar on top, was really delicious. The truffle grilled cheese could be skipped if you don't like an overwhelming truffle taste. And I've had better crab cakes but it was by no means bad. For entrees, my party of 3 split everything. We had the lamb chops, the scallops, the duck, butternut squash ravioli, and 2 lobster tail accompaniments along with a side of brussel sprouts. Each thing was better than the next. My favorite dish was actually the ravioli. Very creative flavors. For dessert, we had a toffee cake/pudding, peanut butter mousse, and scoops of brown butter and vanilla ice cream. All in, the bill came out to $445 and we brought our own beer and wine. After a nice 33% tip for exquisite service, I'd actually say this place is a bargain, relative to the quality of food you get, compared to a lot of NYC fine dining restaurants. It's pretty hard to get a reservation. But now that they opened up on Sunday evenings, you might have better luck! I will be back and I hope this review convinces others to try this restaurant. Finally we decided what we wanted-- I ordered the Zuppa De pesci, which was pasta with mussels, salmon, calamari, shrimp, and scallops. Some of the other dishes my party got was the scallop scampi, and some veal dish. I very much enjoyed my seafood entree- oh and the salad came with it too! I ate most of my meal, but then also took some leftovers home with me. Oh, and the server didn't quite communicate with me that they box the leftovers, but once i got the message, it was all good. A special shout out to our server, Fabio, who truly went above and beyond. His service was attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience even better. We would definitely come back again the next time we're in town. Highly recommend!

I've been here before and this was by far my worst experience…read more We were seated upstairs due to a reservation mix up on our part and tbh we should have left at that point because upon seeing the space it was basically an overflow space with zero ambiance like the first floor. Service is subpar as a result because the staff is all downstairs with 1 server whose experience you could tell was very green. I had to go downstairs and flag down a runner for our waitress to come take our order. The beet salad is always a great go-to although the Cesar salad was over dressed. My daughter ordered the filet which was delicious. I ordered the linguine vongole which was sooo bland even after I added the Parmesan and salt. Zero depth of flavor in the sauce and it was separating even as it was placed on the table. My husband ordered the special: halibut with haricot vert and both were overcooked. The haricot vert were so soggy, they were completely inedible. It was as if they were steamed and they placed in a pan of oil. Having been here before, the desserts are lacking so we decided to skip as we had a family with a very young infant who cried almost the entire time we were there. Well the server lost our credit card at some point from the table to the register! We used another card and had to cancel that card. Barely an apology from management and no follow up! I won't be coming back but just because the one day where everything went to hell, but also because this is my 4th time eating here in 4 months with various friends and they still don't recognize/acknowledge repeated customers.
