Hanger steak sandwich

Eleven Central was recommended to me and I am so glad I went! Our server was so kind. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very down to earth. I got the hanger steak sandwich and it was delicious. I will definitely be coming back because I am craving that same sandwich again!

Burger and hanger steak sandwich

The first time I went with my friend was last Saturday. We were seated right away and had great drinks and good. It's kind of a tight squeeze bar area, but nonetheless I really liked it. My burger was good and the service was friendly. Yesterday though, our food was never brought out to us. We waited over an hour and a half to finally get our food. It was good though and the server was kind. It just was frustrating to wait that long in this kind of bar for food.

Great drinks and good food. Friendly staff. Can get a little loud. Reasonable prices.

I really enjoyed the cheeseburger. The waiter was super nice as well, and the wings were alright.

How have I never heard of this place before? Great family dining experience and I'll explain why…read more But what separates this place from so many others is the different types of dining experiences you can have. If you want an upscale sports bar vibe, check. A unique seasonally decorated dining room, check. Outdoor seating, check. The menu is great. Something for everyone. While I did not order them the only thing that jumps out as something not priced well is their tacos. $18 for 2 tacos seems a bit high considering Mexican food is typically a lower cost meal. Appetizers small shared plates, salads, burgers/sandwiches, tacos, and entrees. Great spread. The kids menus are incredible. Very artsy and engaging for the kids. Only issue, no pricing for the kids meal. Ordered some appetizers (pretzels, mozzarella sticks, and calamari) I would say the only negative was the calamari. Extremely over dressed with sauce. By the time the food got to us it was extremely soggy. The breading would have been incredibly crispy if not for the sauce. My wife ordered the fig and procutto salad and was blown away. Loved it. I stuck with smaller bits since I was stuffed with appetizers. Ordered the crispy rice spicy tuna, 4 large pieces although could use some more spice/flavor or a dipping sauce. And Ordered the buffalo wings. Wings were HUGE, crispy, and juicy. However a little light on the sauce. Overall this was a great first trip. We definitely will be back. For the food, and the bourbon menu! One "gripe" is that they offer Happy Hour until 6pm even on Fridays. With Happy Hour the kids meals are supposed to be $10 and have food, drink, and ice cream included. However when we got our bill we were charged for the meal ($12 fair price for the amount of food) and the drink separately. Not a huge deal but wish they would stick to the advertised prices.

This place hit it out of the park. The menu has a lot of unique niche options. We sat at the high…read moretops in the bar section. To be clear, the high tops are the booths you also see in pictures (we were confused ahead of walking in). It's definitely elevated bar food with a bit of pizzaz!! We ordered WAY too much food but wanted to try a lot of things. We went for a bunch of apps and then shared the bolognese which I also really enjoyed. The cocktails are top tier. An ex Hoboken girlie, I have a very specific standards to cocktails and this places knocks it out the park. The waitress was wildly helpful (suggestions and attentive) and she was funny, brownie points! New staple for us, go check it out

- The spacious, modern interior has a cozy, romantic feel while still maintaining a relaxed vibe…read more- Service was cordial and attentive; there was a small mix-up with one of our orders, but it was promptly corrected - Overall, everything was enjoyable: the wagyu steakhouse burger was beautifully cooked to medium as requested, with a juicy, perfectly seasoned patty topped with a generous portion of portobello mushrooms and onions; the hanger steak sandwich was delicious, with thick, chunky, tender strips of well-seasoned steak cooked on the rarer side of medium; the kids' cheeseburger sliders were nicely cooked and surprisingly juicy despite being well-done; the kids' mac and cheese featured perfectly cooked pasta shells in a creamy, gooey cheese sauce; the almond chicken nuggets were the one disappointment--the crust was chewy rather than crispy, though the flavors were very good, especially with the sriracha mayo and bleu cheese

THE FOOD ----------------…read more+ Almond Chicken Nuggets - Decent crunchy chicken tenders. A bit plain if eaten by itself, but the sriracha mayo DEFINITELY was the reason why it was much better. + Kids Sliders - Well-cooked burger patty was surprisingly still juicy. Came with more than enough delicious fresh fries for 1 kid. + Kids Mac and Cheese - Comprised of a bowl of pasta shells smothered in cheese. It was fresh and I loved that it was so cheeeesy gooey. + Hanger Steak Sandwich - Possibly the BEST steak sandwich I ever had anywhere! It was THAT good! The hanger steak was not your ordinary, dry-looking slices of thin steak in a sammie, but instead it was chunks of it. The steak was on the rarer side of medium, but perfectly seasoned and, in all transparency, I'm still thinking about it! Would say it was one of the more popular items having seen it at multiple tables. Oh, and those fries it came with - freshly cut and delicious! + Steakhouse Wagyu Burger - Verrrry, verrry good. Burger was juicy, tender and cooked exactly medium. Not that it needed it, but the onion truffle aioli that accompanied it was like crack. THE SERVICE ------------------- + Waiter was a young gentleman who was extremely courteous and accommodated our every ask (without ever seeming too busy, even though he was waiting multiple tables during prime dinner hours). + Food arrived quickly after we ordered. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Verrrrry spacious and nicely decorated interior. Lots of tables indoors AND outdoors. ++++ One of the largest outdoor/curbside dining areas I've seen for a restaurant in the area. + Full bar right after the entrance with multiple TVs showing sporting events. - Like almost every business in the area, unfortunately there is no private parking lot, so persistence is the key word when searching for a parking spot. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- + Allows for online resys via OpenTable, but probably not needed a majority of the time considering the large space. = Dined in at around 6 PM on a beautiful August early Friday evening and the restaurant was bustling, both indoors and outdoors. Most parties sat outdoors to take advantage of the nice weather, so there were PLENTY of tables still available indoors. Lots of folks were hovering by the indoor bar area too. Definitely one of the most popular restaurants in Ridgewood.

I had a hugo spritz which was good. However they don't list this drink prices on the menu which is also a turn off for me. Someone in our party got a drink that tasted off and it was comped off the total. The dinner itself was delicious but a bit pricey ($32) for a vodka chicken parm. No one else had anything bad to say about their food either. Overall the service and food were enjoyable but the atmosphere is definitely loud and bit of a pricier location.

Terrible Experience -- Unsanitary Conditions and Disappointing Management…read more We went to Wyckoff Tavern in Wyckoff, NJ, for lunch and were extremely disappointed by the entire experience. The restaurant was filled with flies. We asked to be moved to another section, hoping the situation would improve, but there were just as many flies in the other area. After we ordered, flies continued landing on our food, silverware, clothing, napkins, and drinking glasses. This was completely unacceptable and made it difficult to enjoy our meal. Unfortunately, things got even worse. My friend has an onion allergy and specifically informed the staff, asking that her salad be prepared without onions. She was assured that this would not be a problem. When her salad arrived, she began eating it without realizing that it contained onions. It was only after she had started eating that she noticed the onions in her salad. When we brought this to the waiter's attention, his response was, "Well, that's not my fault. I told the kitchen." He said he would get her a new salad without onions. A hostess came over and asked how my friend was feeling. At that point, my friend thought she would be okay because she believed she had consumed only a small amount of onion. The restaurant simply removed the salad from the bill. Shortly afterward, however, my friend's face began to feel numb and turned red. Despite these concerning symptoms, no one from the restaurant returned to check on her or make sure she was okay. I then went to speak with the hostess, who brought over the owner. His response was shocking. He was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to listen to any criticism. When I brought up the flies, he acknowledged that he knew they were there and essentially asked what I expected him to do about it. He then told us there were plenty of other restaurants in the area and that we should, in his words, "get out, there's the door" and go somewhere else. When my friend explained the seriousness of her onion allergy and what had happened, his response was essentially that it was human error, asking what we wanted him to do about it. When we asked for his name, he refused to provide it, saying he did not have to tell us. The only reason we initially stayed was that we were short on time and did not have enough time to find another place for lunch. Mistakes can happen in any restaurant, but how a business responds to a problem says a great deal about its management. Flies landing on customers' food and utensils, a failure to honor a clearly communicated food allergy, and a dismissive response when a customer experiences symptoms are not acceptable. We expected basic cleanliness, attention to food safety, and common courtesy. We received none of these. Based on this experience, I would not return to Wyckoff Tavern, and I would not recommend it to others.

The patio had stone pavers and beautiful plants and flowers. When you enter, it's a beautiful foyer and the hostess reach you at the front door. He was knowledgeable and he was just fun he told us about the specials and we asked him about drinks and some of the meals and he gave us some insight. I ordered the steak frites. Which was a marinated 10 ounce steak and Chimichurri, with a kale salad that had a charred Meyer lemon vinaigrette, and the most delicious Parmesan truffle fries. My steak was delicious. The steak was medium rare it was perfect. It was juicy. It was seasoned and charred just right paired with the chimichurri it was amazing. The Parmesan truffle fries were outstanding.
