Bacon Fried Rice
Lisa N.

This was my second time here, we made a 5pm reservation to take advantage of the happy hour specials. We were a group of 4 and did a lot of sharing. Normally the dumplings only come with 3 to an order but they asked if we wanted four, for easy sharing. The food is always good (b/w here and Kantina in Sparkill). My only negative is that the service felt a little rushed towards the end when it started to get busy. As if we didn't just spend good money there. It wasn't enough to deduct a star but I definitely noticed how they tried to scurry us along after.

The backbar. Interesting choices across the board.

Arguably the best cocktails in Nyack (maybe Hudson House a close second?). Delicious and interesting cocktails from a VERY good and talented bartender (shoutout to Mr. S). The food is atypical in a good way. Chef Holland has his "Chopped" skills on display here as there are unusual little touches all over the menu. The Katsu chips are to die for if you want just a little snacky with your drinks. The rolls are delicious and just the right size - they are large enough to savor the taste but small enough to try several. There are lots of places to eat in Nyack. I feel like Kita has immediately become a "top 4" destination. Also - if you are a local and go on Wednesday night there's a locals discount. 4 word review - I love this place.

The service was good. We tried the chicken and ginger dumplings. They were delicious as well as the Thai Thai Margarita. The chicken ramen was ok. We also tried the fried rice and it was good.

I loved how the place looks, the vibe is right. They asked me if I wanted something to drink, so I asked for a Thai Thai margarita which was pretty good. After the first drink, the bartender never came back to ask how the drink was, after my drink was done I had to call the bartenders attention in order to get a second drink.... After my second drink was done I wanted a third one but he never came back to ask so I decided to leave. This is my first ever review, I just wish there was little more attention given to me.... I believe in second changes. I'll try this once again !! I do recommend !

Everything tastes delicious. Homemade desserts. Timeless, cozy decor. Yes, the streets of Nyack have a seedy crowd roaming the streets these days, but Hudson House still sits on the main drag among it all. There's street parking or a large parking lot across the street. Free after 7. Everything I've had here is delicious. We came recently with colleagues to celebrate a special event. My favorite cocktail is still the port Old Fashioned... possibly because I won't try others. Wines are good here too. The hamachi, tuna and gnudi appetizers were outstanding. So flavorful, fresh, balanced. All three were different and simply so good. At the table this evening, we tried short rib, steaks, Brussels sprouts, beet salad, lentil pea soup and my favorite, the Berkshire pork chop. OMG, that chop is unlike anything else... and they consistently execute it. Crisp, seasoned exterior, amazing juicy interior. Served on a medley of assorted beans, peppers and chorizo. It's hard to order anything else when it's this good. With 7 of us at the table, we ordered 8 desserts. They're that good here. I tried a special this evening, which was a blueberry pudding something with a crust and ice cream on it, and I don't know. It was yummy and creamy and blueberry yumminess. Everyone at the table raved about the sticky toffee pudding, which supposedly is a customer favorite here. Overall, awesome night. Everyone at the table said they'd come back and even our grumpiest co-worker gave it a thumbs up!

We all know how much Ketile One is pour the extra ounce. And when you bring the wine caraf, fill it to 5he top. As the apps came, I noticed there was no bread, so I asked for some. Someone in our party, told me there was a 4 charge for bread. I was getting a pasta dish, so I wanted it anyway. Needless to say bread never came, but it was on the bill. They removed the charge. I guess I'm just getting cheap in my old age. For 375 can't I get a decent pour and a piece of bread

The well-curated and balanced menu is focused on Spanish/Mediterranean dishes and tapas, all expertly prepared with quality ingredients. I genuinely loved everything. We ordered fried calamari misto (fantastic!), bacalao croquettes, polenta crostini, and Olar salad (simple but delicious) to start. For our mains, the paella Valenciana and mariscada salsa verde were profuse with fresh seafood - and the mussels and clams were delightfully fat and plump. The grilled skirt steak, which we requested medium rare, was perfectly cooked. Complimentary garlic herb crostini is brought to the table, and we were given fresh crusty-chewy rosemary focaccia bread brushed with olive oil as well. We were too stuffed to go for dessert but I think the offerings were a molten lava cake, vanilla panacotta, a cheesecake of some sort, and caramel flan. The owner was there and came around to greet everyone. They are currently doing a soft opening so there's no liquor license yet, and it's cash only right now, but everything seems so well run already. This is a true foodie destination, especially for Rockland. Highly recommended and a hearty 5 stars!
