Food is great, our server is also amazing his name is Fernando! Very very attentive! He also see to it that our orders are great and on time. Their food is great not oily I live the Calamari with shrimp and the dipping sauce for it, we also tried their Yuca fries that we heard was amazinggggg! , The drinks are also good, our server asked us if we prefer strong or not. We said it's up to him. Some orders came in late but we didn't mind as our server kept on going back and forth to apologize for the delay. He even gave us free tequila because we waited for some orders late. Ambiance is good, not much people but theres few in the bar. Such a cool place , great vibe!! They have live entertainment on Saturday night so that's always a plus The bar staff is awesome , friendly and fun . They are also very efficient. The food was really great , served hot and had great presentation aside from being very well seasoned. They also have frozen strawberry daiquiri and it's veryyyyyyyy good !!! The only issue I had was the fact the tables are to close together , it makes it difficult to even walk to the bathroom . Definitely recommend. They just need to rearrange the tables . read more

Consistency is a virtue, and this place was consistently mediocre. Our waitperson was gracious but items ordered had to be requested (the place seemed seriously understaffed) and although the menu was exciting, the food was just ordinary: fries that weren't hot. The steak in my sandwich was pre-cooked (no opportunity to say how I'd like it); our friends' sandwich and tacos were ordinary. Having been denied due to an early closure at Brasserie D across the street, we found ourselves at Nyack Social through sheer serendipity. My dining companion has a gluten allergy and we were pleasantly surprised by how many options they had available and how clearly the menu was laid out with labels of Vegan/ Gluten Free. Shrimp and calamari had an excellent breading, roast chicken was a tad on the dry side but well flavored. Maybe I came on an off day but they had only one person working on a Saturday at lunch. There was a Yankees game on, the weather was gorgeous and there were a bunch of people at tables. We lived in town for over 10 years and were excited to see a new restaurant come in. We ordered for pick up and had the fish sandwich, roasted brussel sprouts, and yucca fries. First off the focaccia for the sandwich wasn't toasted so sandwich was soggy. Plus the piece of flounder was so thin and there was more breading than fish and that wasn't panko crusted. The yucca fries, some pieces weren't cooked all the way through and the fries it came with were very salty. The sprouts were ok. It was my first time coming to Nyack Social and from the minute I stepped into the establishment I was greeted by the staff and two of the owners. The aesthetic of the restaurant / lounge is very satisfying and you can see the difference between the bar area and dining room. The layout of the place is very easy to navigate through and you can tell a lot of TLC was put into the place when observing the fine details. Our server was phenomenal, she attended to our every need and offered insight when asked, she definitely made that personal connection with us throughout her interactions. We ordered an assortment of appetizers, entrees and drinks. The Vietnamese Wings were made to perfection to the point where you couldn't put them down and wanted more. The fried calamari with shrimp was simply divine and had a unique taste that indicated there was thought put into the seasoning used for them. The marinated skirt steak had a sweet tang to it that left you wanting one more bite, you could tell the chef was dedicated when developing his flavor selection. The fried yucca was fried to perfection and the yucca themselves had a feel that the yucca was hand picked just for the meal, I was at a loss of words when I initially tried them. The crab and lobster empanadas were so tasteful that we had to order another round for the table. The steak sandwich was paired perfectly with the ciabatta bread. It is truly difficult to find places with such fine cuisine that encompasses so many tastes within the area but Nyack Social crossed all the boxes starting from the table service to the details and precision in their finely curated meals. read more

Waiter claimed to be the manager and found it humorous to tell me that he would poison my food if I didn't hurry up and pick something off the menu because there were less than half the items remaining available from the menu on a Saturday afternoon and I was taking too long. He then proceeded to insult me 2 more times telling me I had a sour puss face and to open my eyes to see the food is to my liking since I wouldn't make eye contact with him. He is Spanish speaking and I speak his language fluently. He insulted my daughter on her Spanish speaking skills and kept calling my mother his love. I've never felt more insulted by a waiter in my life. I stayed patient until the end when I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. When I handed him my credit card, he challenged me and asked to see my ID and tried to walk away holding onto my license. I grabbed my license out of his hand, paid the bill and left. read more

The food is excellent. Hope more people start coming here so they can hire more staff. Interesting twists on old classics. One of the best hamburgers I have ever had. Great fish sandwich on another visit. And the dessert that is hot chocolate over ice cream with a piece of cake at the bottom of the cup was terrific. We'll be back! read more
