I've ordered from Don's Chicken a few times (both dine-in and takeout), and for the most part, it's been a great experience! The fried chicken is crispy, flavorful, and delicious, and the Ddokbokki comes in this huge bowl that's well worth the money. My only issue was this one time when I called in my order ahead of time and showed up to pick it up. The person who took my order said it would be ready in about 15 minutes. I showed up 20 minutes later, and the place was closed--30 minutes before their posted closing time. I saw the worker chilling in his car while my hungry group and I stood at the door. We looked at him, confused, but he just turned away and started looking at his phone. Honestly, this place is great, and I'm so happy to finally have some good Korean Fried Chicken in the area. I was just really bummed after driving all the way there and having to scramble for a Plan B at the last minute. I'll still be back though! This is still a solid establishment with one hiccup (from my experience)

First experience was ok, but we have no plans to return. Korean fried chicken should be extra crispy with great flavor. We sampled large combos of both the original crispy and the soy garlic. Neither was particularly crispy. The original was not even that flavorful. Every fried chicken restaurant closer to me is much better, so, no plans to return. The soy garlic was ok. It's similar to the original, but with a sweet coating. It's not overly full of garlic, which I think is good. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center and some tables inside. The chicken pieces are a good size. Bigger than KFC but a lot smaller than hangry Joe's. What was repulsive was the pickled radish that comes with the large combos. Upon opening the container, the aroma almost made a couple of us ill. We closed the container and saved it for trash day. I like pickled radishes that are traditionally served with sushi, but this stuff was plain repulsive. Again, the chicken is ok, but nothing special to warrant the price or make me return.

Delicious chicken wings! I tried a few different versions, regular fried, sweet and sour and a garlic type (can't remember the name). Also the shrimp tempura was delicate and wonderful. Very yummy and crisp! I can't wait to go back!

The food was disgusting. If I can give this place a negative 5 I would. The fries were super greasy. The (crispy chicken) drum sticks were the thickest drum sticks I have ever seen in my life. Not even the bronx chicken is that thick (and that says a lot). The wings... horrible. The egg potato Mayo looked and tasted like a 1996 public school watered down macaroni and cheese. If you have a problem going to the bathroom please order the Pickled radish. It will send you straight to the bathroom. Smells like a dead rat in a small non ventilated room. Disaster. I haven't left the bathroom in two days smh.

Firstly, we got seated and we ordered immediately. But for an hour we were left unattended. We got no garnishes, no sauces, no food while people around us were being attended to. They weren't waiting on our food, they just forgot about us completely. Half of the food we ordered that night was never served, either. When we asked for our first grill change, it took them 30 minutes to change the grill, us having to ask three different waiters. When we finally got it, our grill was dirty, with a large dust ball and oil stain on it. The worst thing was when I was trying to ask for water, but one of the staff just shushed me by putting a finger up and leaving. He never came back to the table. It took our table a half hour just to get WATER. There are a number of other things but these were the biggest red flags. Do better.

We went for the signature option which includes a limited amount of Japanese A5 Wagyu ribeye (8oz per person), so it's not really all you can eat. The signature set also allows you to get everything from the lower tiers, which includes lobster tail (1 per person), snow crab clusters (1 per person), and U.S. Wagyu options (unlimited for Signature). All these limits make it seems like it's not really all you can eat lol. There are plenty of options that are unlimited though, and the food was delicious. The restaurant is also very nice, but the service was lacking. I ordered the Ikura (salmon roe) nigiri, and the waiter told me that Ikura is not normal salmon. I asked him to elaborate and he said that they are salmon seeds, not actual salmon. Seeds made me think this was some plant based/vegan sushi, but then he said "the seeds baby salmon come from". I laughed and asked if he meant that salmon roe are salmon eggs and he said yes. They also run a birthday promotion, where you can get $39.50 off of your bill, as long as you come in 7 days before or after your birthday, which we clarified with the hostess. My birthday was on 5/1. We were dining on 5/8. Apparently 5/8 is not 7 days after 5/1. I'd have given them a higher rating, but them not honoring their birthday promotion was annoying. The Japanese Wagyu was also not as good quality as other places I've been to, but that's likely because this is an AYCE place and the other places were not.

I mention an…read more"older man", because it was the description that fit the best as you are not a "younger man". I see you do not take criticism well. With that said, as a business owner, you should be ashamed. Your response is very unprofessional. Let's be clear, my review wasn't written out of spite. I spoke the truth. I don't go around bashing small businesses. I support them. But this experience deserved honesty. The mention of "video footage" was odd, are you implying some kind of threat? Because yes, we ate there. That's why the review exists. If anything, I hope the footage captured how disappointed we were and your gawking eye as I walked by. Food was not on par with the pricing and we both got sick that night. We would have gladly paid any price if the food was amazing. It simply was not. We took 6 takeout containers because we couldn't justify paying $180 plus tip for the bad quality we had, but it went into the garbage anyway. We tipped 20% bc we are not assholes and even with the food and service not being great. Bottom line, it is not the cost, it is what it's worth. Disputing the food only not the service, bc the servers still deserve their pay. But keep it. Saying you had 50 take out orders that's why you were too busy to tend to our table is absurd as we watched our server going back and forth with nothing in his hands many times and did not check back in until we had to call the bus boy over to get our check. There is no excuse. That is poor service. Are you in the restaurant business or not? The server brought out that many containers when he saw how much leftover we had of each dish. It's great that your regulars love the wings and mandu. My bf actually liked the flavor too, but this was his first time at a Korean restaurant so he didn't know any better. Mandus are known to be big juicy dumplings. If you look at the picture that's an over fried gyoza. I'll say it again, the wings-dry, mandu-dry, bonchon-lacking most places do way more. We didn't want a refill on the bonchon. We got violently ill that night. I haven't written a review in years nor do I care to, but for this I had to. I did dispute it, bc the more we thought about when we arrived home we became more upset. But keep your money, though. This review is enough. Do better.

We were sat near a table of Moms who were accompanied by almost a dozen elementary school aged children. Their children were completely out of control... running sprints back and forth in the room, running laps around the tables bumping into other customers chairs, wrestling and laying on the floor and that goes without mentioning the noise. This party was finished eating before we were even sat at our table but the Moms continued to sit and drink for the duration of our entire meal while their children ran wild. At this point the dining room was turned playground and other patrons requested to not be sat for Hibachi. Others had to get up from the room and take a break from the chaos. The reason for this review which has very little to do with the actual restaurant, yet it does is.... This situation definitely danced the line below calling the police for a disorderly group but above the line of the management should've stepped in to inform these mothers they are causing a major disturbance to the entire restaurant, their meal is over and it's time for them to leave.
