The 5 stars is just for the takeout which says a lot. Picked up my order and the interior of the restaurant is nice with 2 bars and plenty of tables and I saw on IG they also have patio dining. Tried the Pork Ribs, Spicy Pork, Bulgogi Japchae, Traditional Kimbap. Ginger's Seoul is the best Korean restaurant in Stamford - hands down. It's pricey but the quality is legit and can save you a trek to NYC for good Korean food. Love the variety of Korean foods they have too. Pizza, noodles, meats, kimbap. I'm hoping they may add Korean cold noodles to the menu in the future. I look forward to dining in one day soon!

Love this place! She has changed to menu a bit. Still some of the old favorites but some new things. The staff is always polite and efficient. The interior is so nice. We sat near the pizza oven. Nice on a cold winter's evening

Dinner spot for my brother's birthday recommended by our mom. I wish I remembered our servers name - She was so nice, patient, & knowledgeable. We ended up sharing the bulgogi udon, a chicken hot bowl, dumplings, the yuzu cheesecake, and a couple other things. It was perfectly lit and not too loud despite being fairly busy. I will 100% be back!!

We can't wait to come back here to try more menu items! Everything we got was delicious, the space had been renovated so nicely it was hard to believe it was the same place as Judy's before it! The servers were very warm and eager to please, and the owner was so sweet he took time to stop and chat with us. This really is a feel good place to go, and even better, the food is great! There were lots of Asians dining which is always a good sign for any Asian restaurant. What a great addition to Stamford.

Would be a 3 star review, but it is only 2 stars based on the value for money. The restaurant opened somewhat recently, and I love Korean food, so I was excited about an opportunity to try the restaurant. We stopped by for lunch. The pace is nicely decorated, rather in upscale style. We started with a beer - we had some Korean beer I never had before. The beer was okay, but for $9 per bottle it was a questionable value, but never mind. We shared kimchi and seafood pancake as an appetizer. Kimchi was tasty, but the pancake had no flavor of its own. I got a dish called Ojingeo Deopbap as my main dish. I was explained that the dish will be super-spicy - it was spicy, but probably at the 3 out of 5 level, just so you can assess the spiciness for yourself. The main problem with this dish was that it was a squid dish, and squid had a perfect rubber texture - absolutely not enjoyable. The final bill came to $62 per person (with 18% tip) - considering that the restaurant is located in a tiny shopping strip in Stamford and not in a center of Manhattan, this is a very bad value. Nice, friendly service. Not recommended.

My wife and I were excited to see that a new Korean spot opened up in Stamford. After viewing the menu online, we decided to check it out for ourselves. For context, my wife is Chinese American and I lived in Seoul for 1.5yrs so we can be tough critics of Korean food. TLDR: Ginger's is a new hidden gem and go-to for authentic, tasty Korean in a warm, inviting space. We went on a Friday and brought our toddler. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in and provided a high chair. We didn't take long to decide on what to order: kimchijeon, bulgogi kimbap, mandu, and kimchi sondubu. The first dish out was the steamed mandu. Our toddler loved them and immediately asked for more as soon as he finished each one. The kimbap came shortly after and my wife commented on how fresh it was, especially compared to the ones she usually picks up at H-Mart.... Hahaha The kimchijeon arrived next and it was a winner. It had just enough kick and was full of flavor. This wasn't a mushy sad pajeon, these were four more reasonably sized pajeons with crispy edges. Honestly one of the better pajeon dishes I've ever had. Last came out my sondubu, and it was delicious. It had a kick with lots of flavors behind it as well. It reminded me of my time in Seoul. Closing thoughts: As someone who doesn't eat meat, I was very happy to see that there were many seafood and vegetarian options reflective of my time living in Seoul. Service was attentive and pleasant. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Can't wait to return and check out the rest of the menu!

We got our soup bases first, rice, then meats, seafood, veggies, and noodles, everything arrived quickly and stayed stocked. Service was great and our waitress Dana was nice. A few things were disappointing though: the grill wasn't centered on the table and kept turning off, which made cooking a little frustrating and cramped. This location also doesn't offer crab legs (even though we saw them online), which was a big letdown for my daughter. The sauce/appetizer station was just wack, the dessert area was really lacking no ice cream, only sponge cake and some stale looking popcorn. Dana did bring our table 1 cupcake, which was sweet of her. Overall, we had fun and left full after about 1.5 hours, (limit is 2) but the desserts, missing crab legs, and grill issues make me not want to return. The food itself was fresh and flavorful, though, and service was fast and friendly.

Firstly, we got seated and we ordered immediately. But for an hour we were left unattended. We got no garnishes, no sauces, no food while people around us were being attended to. They weren't waiting on our food, they just forgot about us completely. Half of the food we ordered that night was never served, either. When we asked for our first grill change, it took them 30 minutes to change the grill, us having to ask three different waiters. When we finally got it, our grill was dirty, with a large dust ball and oil stain on it. The worst thing was when I was trying to ask for water, but one of the staff just shushed me by putting a finger up and leaving. He never came back to the table. It took our table a half hour just to get WATER. There are a number of other things but these were the biggest red flags. Do better.

I was very impressed…read moreby the extended menu that included tons and tons of different food, including bubble tea. At first I was gonna place an order over the phone but decided to just do it in person. Once I arrived, the place unfortunately was closed, the sign said they would be back but nobody was there and the door was locked with a little sign that said to call that number. At that point I guess I could of just left but I was so hungry, I was really craving pho so I called the number and the nice lady said she was out on a delivery but she was on her way back and allowed me to place my order over the phone w her. In the meantime to kill time, went to a nearby target. Once she arrived and my food was ready, she gave me a call and I went to pick it up. The lady was apologetic about the wait, very nice woman, handed me my food to go and I left.I did get to check the place out, small establishment, but cozy and very hip and cool, would have been nice to eat there and hang out. I got 5 orders of their pho and a mango bubble tea. At that point I had waited a good 40mins if not more so I was starving and tired, the mango bubble tea was EVERYTHING, it was creamy, fruity, just right, and that made me more excited to get home and eat my food! Now, I'm used to adding the leaves and other things to my pho myself , so I thought certain condiments would come separate but turns out it was already all prepared in the plastic container which no big deal. The taste was good, very very tasty... however, very different than your regular Vietnamese pho. Now I don't know if it was because it wasn't necessarily a Vietnamese place (based on their food menu with mostly Korean stuff) that the pho was different, different meat and diff condiments so alright it was a tasty broth with noodles, it's not your typical pho so I have to be honest, i was disappointed. I spent quite some money there so I feel like a combination of wait time, inconvenience and disappointment in the pho, turned me off a bit. I feel like, as a customer, I was very accommodating and still gave them my business so that could of been an opportunity for them to use their customer service as a secret weapon to get me to come back?... Overall, I don't think I'll be driving out of my way to go eat there but if I'm in the nearby area, I'll deff be stopping for a nice bubble tea drink!

The Soon Doo Boo was very tasty and had a little kick. Not as much as I would like but very close to what I would expect. The Jap Chae flavor was good but it did not have any spinach and not enough of other vegetables; but as I said, pretty tasty. The place is pretty roomy so would probably not need to wait for a table. The rest of the food were mostly misses, the worst being the Kalbi. The flavor was a little too sweet but in a teriyaki sauce kind of way, not the Korean pear/sugar/soy sauce way. The seafood pajeon was too burnt and did not have any seafood, almost all batter. The banchan was ok but the kimchee was a little too ripe. Service was a little show because they were short staffed according to our waiter. So all in all, just not a great experience.
