We went to the restaurant because they have outdoor seating which we could clearly see is all set up on their side porch. We were informed that outdoor seating is not allowed at lunch only dinner. Now, December 31 how many people are sitting outside in the winter at night. I can't believe that management has that policy. I can only think that the staff just didn't want to service outside. I could be wrong. Since we were going to need to eat indoors, we just did takeout. Of one order no drinks no tip. They were losing money this way. Asiana has always been a staple in my family growing up. Big fan of their pork dumplings and their pad thai and fried rice is great! I very rarely eat in at the restaurant but when I do, service is good. The place is slightly small but is cute and with good ambiance. Recalling some quite good meals when this restaurant was further east on Putnam Avenue, I was a bit disappointed with my Friday night takeout order. Pork wonton soup was acceptable, but the large pieces of onion in my seafood curry soup didn't belong there. More seafood than a few small shrimp would also have been nice. Wan Singapore mai fun needed a bit more curry. Better versions of this dish include multiple proteins and more veg. The mains were better. There was a nice amount of tender duck in the Chinatown roast duck, the vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. Beef with string beans generally pleased. The beef was tender, the sauce mildly spicy. But the string beans were not trimmed on one end. read more

The food is amazing and the staff are really friendly. I'll get my dinner and by the time I have eaten half I'm full and have enough for a nice lunch the following day. I don't know why the overall stars by other reviewers for this place aren't higher but I really liked it. The inside has great decor and the outdoor seating is surprisingly romantic for a strip mall. We had pretty views of a spectacular sunset during the entire dinner. We ordered Peking duck and General Tso's chicken. It was all very good and I'd definitely order it again. It's one of those Asian restaurants that have sushi, Chinese food, Thai food etc. yet can't do anything right. The food was alright. The ribs were surprisingly good despite its more American flavor. This place is sooo good! They have an outdoor area which is nice and perfect for warm summer evenings. I ordered a lychee iced tea and mixed vegetables and broccoli in ginger sauce which came with a side of purple rice. The vegetables were generous in portion and cooked perfectly. I especially liked that there was a wide variety of vegetables, such as peppers, snap peas, broccoli, onions, zucchini, enoki mushrooms, artichoke, and scallions! The restaurant also serves complimentary fried chips with duck sauce which are super addicting. Best of all, my entree cost me only $14.00 and the service was great!! My family and I ordered Uber Eats on a Sunday afternoon. (I was informed UE was the only delivery option.) The menu has a nice balance of Asian fusion, which makes it versatile for many different food preferences. I got the sashimi 4 me ($22), and the salmon was particularly fresh and scrumptious. It was on the pricier side but in line with what I would expect in Greenwich. Some of the healthier dishes on the menu are very pricey, where broccoli and ginger sauce starts at $11.95 before adding the protein cost. Nonetheless, this dish comes with a good, nicely flavored portion of protein. The Thai brown fried rice included some big shrimp. Ordered from their lunch special since we were on our way to Starbucks, which happens to be in the same shopping center. When we opened the door to the restaurant, the smell from the inside just kinda hits you hard. Thank goodness we weren't going to be dining in because you will definitely smell like food when you're done. Food wise, I got the beef and eggplant with garlic sauce. The lunch portion was plenty for the price. It was actually better than it looks. It has a spicy kick to it (which was mentioned on the menu.) I got the hot & sour soup with it which was just okay. I'm not a sushi expert, but I know this much is true: Freshness is always first and foremost. And slicing it should fit the bill. Even if it's sashimi and nigiri, it just needs to be sliced right. And please, no giant golf-ball size portions of rice for my sushi or nigiri! Asiana, is very fresh. I usually go for their Spicy Tuna Roll, Sashimi or Nigiri options. Oh and don't forget their (unsweetened) Lychee Ice Tea. It's refreshingly good with at least 2-3 Lychees as an added bonus. Whether I'm picking up or having Lunch here, service is always pleasant. Simple design but there's a nice wooden slat wall towards the back that seems to go for miles. And really adds a unique and natural style to Asiana. I was impressed given the mixed reviews. After shopping on Greenwich Avenue I stopped here for dinner. I am handicapped and was exhausted. I finished dinner in about 45 minutes and asked for the check and to pack up my leftovers and then went to the restroom for five minutes. When I came back someone else was in my seat. I told the waiter and others I still wanted to relax. They told me they thought I left which was impossible since I had not yet gotten the bill. They didn't apologize or offer me my seat back. I repeated I was handicapped. They didn't care. When I told them then I shouldn't be asked to pay the bill the owner/manager called the police on me. I told him to let me speak to the officer and to tell them I was still at the restaurant but he would not do so or give me the phone. Two police cars with 3 cops pulled up and asked me to step outside. I explained the problem and told them that throwing me out of my table was unethical and against the ADA. The police told me to contact the better business bureau and ADA and agreed the restaurant acted in bad faith. I'm 66 years old, handicapped and this should not have happened to me or anyone else. There are lots of restaurants in Greenwich. Pass up this one. If you have to go to the rest room they will clean up your table and give it to someone else! The food wasn't so great either. In the end the owner took $10.00 off the bill and I paid it. It was the worst night of my life! I was so embarassed and I had not done anything wrong. The owner/manager should be ashamed of himself and needs a refresher course in business ethics. Eat here at your own risk and go to the bathroom before you sit down to eat! read more

Love this place. Their rolls are great, I always get the Mount Fuji and the crab meat shu mai which is always the perfect amount of food. I do delivery a lot and the food is always hot upon arrival. Like many of the other reviews I remember this place years ago being much better than my most recent experience. It's not that the food is bad or that you shouldn't go there but the sushi & appetizers weren't as memorable. The ambience inside the restaurant is very nice and would be a nice place to go for a date or romantic evening out. I ordered sesame Chicken and there was a lot of metal i almost choked and it tasted really bad

I was in Greenwich, CT, to pick up my serviced laptop at the Computer SuperCenter. Not wanting to brave the rush hour traffic on the RT 87 and Garden State Parkway, I decided to eat dinner in town and wait it out. The Asiana Cafe was the closest open restaurant I could find. I sat outside. They have a beautiful outdoor patio, with clean tables and an attentive staff. I was happy with the quality of the service. The waitress continually checked on me, and the back-waitress kept re-filling my water glass. Very professional. But as for the food itself, I wasn't particularly impressed with the prices, the selection or the quality. First, having lived in Japan for almost 20 years, I can testify from personal experience that the average bowl of ramen should cost anywhere between 500 yen to 800 yen, or $4.50 to $7.25. Paying any more than that and you must be eating an incredible bowl of ramen. The Asiana Cafe was charging its customers $15 (+6.35% tax) for "Soy Based Ramen w/ beef, chicken or shrimp." That's 220% more expensive than what Japanese are paying in Tokyo -- one of the most expensive cities in the world. Why? Your guess is as good as mine. The ramen consisted of a poached egg (note: it's supposed to be hard boiled), a small amount of seaweed, three small slices of scallion, beef and the broth. Ironically, the kitchen didn't offer the one type of ramen that's everywhere in Japan: pork. I was surprised and disappointed with the selection. As for the taste, the broth was rather bland. I didn't taste any garlic or chili pepper or ginger or even much chicken broth, for that matter. I'm puzzled what the chef put in the broth but I couldn't taste what's usually in ramen broth. read more

They moved locations so it's not at the old location anymore, We ordered dumplings which were quite nice and tasty, sauce was slightly heavy, then I got the bento box with the general tso chicken which was very good and fresh and definitely stood out from you average Chinese food! I used to love this place. So much so that I'd be there probably every weekend. Then, they moved to their current new location in The Whole Foods plaza occupying the space Wuji briefly set up shop in and they seem to have inherited the Wiji curse. Either the whole serving staff left shortly after the move, or, they got fired. Either way, the servers were a big part of what made this place great. The food was great, too, but more on that in a second. The new servers do their job... sort of well enough I guess, but, there's no charm or personal service anymore. Some of them also need etiquette on serving. They want to take things away when clearly we are in the middle of eating. Contrary to that, the kitchen seems to be super slow now at sending food out, which is not the server's fault, but still a service issue that should be addressed. The food is still good enough but there's definitely a change. I used to dream about the shrimp dumplings, but, the last few times, they have been rather mushy and gross. The sushi is still pretty good, but, it's been hit and miss. Overall, I'm super sad they've moved locations because after a few visits, it's just not the same it once was and I won't be going back very often if at all. May I suggest Fogama in Rye? Place was empty, guy was sanding floor during lunch. waited at least 20 minutes for soup and rock shrimp to cone out and it was lukewarm. group busy chatting but not serving customers. the food must have sat on the counter for 10 minutes. we will see about the bento box. since it's poke i guess it won't be cold. these guys just moved locations. maybe they are adjusting. yea has been empty for 20 minutes, no one seeing if we want refill. quite an active chinese conversation going on. a oops bento box came a minute after we asked for it 20 minutes later. the dumplings were lukewarm. no surprise. i'm sure it sat on counter. conversation back in full swing. guess we won't try this place again. i thought maybe after the move it got better oh salmon poke on a bed of rice with edamame . go figure i was hoping no rice. well the portions are large and price is reasonable. but it's not good or authentic asian food read more
