We were seated immediately around 4pm on a Sunday in November. Service was excellent and friendly! The ambiance is great as usual. The restaurant was clean. The table tops were cleaned with Lysol antiseptic spray after each customer. The food continues to be delicious. I tried the pan fried noodles with chicken. I am not used to the thick consistency of the pan fried noodles. I am used to the thinner consistency pan fried noodles. The chicken and the vegetables were delicious and fresh. My 11 year old daughter had the beef noodle soup, which is always excellent. Both entrees were cooked and ready within 10 minutes. Blue Ginger serves a mix of Americanized Chinese and Thai food along with sushi. Prices are reasonable and delivery is free for orders over $20. I had the three roll sushi combo with miso soup. The rolls are a decent size and nicely packed. The eel avocado roll barely has any eel though and the spicy salmon roll isn't spicy at all and has fillers. Despite that, I enjoyed the rolls and the fish seemed fresh. I also tried the crispy prawns with honey walnuts since it's one of my favorite Chinese dishes. It's pretty rare to see it in Americanized Chinese takeout restaurants. It was pretty good, but not as good as from a Cantonese restaurant. Still, it satisfies that craving. read more

I haven't since been able to find a restaurant with the same impressive balance between low prices & quality food until Blue Ginger. Both the Japanese and Chinese cuisine were both incredibly tasty. We ordered takeout on a busy Friday night a pretty sizable order and the food was ready in 15-20 minutes! It almost felt too good to be true for a lover of sushi and all Asian cuisine like myself, because the prices were stellar. $6 for a spicy tuna roll is unheard of in this economy, let alone such a yummy one! Though we only ordered to go, the inside of the restaurant was tranquil and relaxing and we are looking forward to dining indoors. Sincerely recommend this place for anybody new to the area like us. While they are slightly more expensive than other Asian restaurants in the area, you can taste the difference in price. Everything is just slightly better quality. This time I got the Homemade Spicy Thai Duck Sauce, Chicken Gyoza, Beef Lo Mein Noodle and Sichuan Style Crispy Beef. Every single dish was finger licking good and the delivery was quick. I have not eaten in the restaurant so can't speak for the service or the ambiance. But the food is so amazingly yummy that I'm curious to dine in one day. Blue Ginger is back! Snazzy interior, warm and inviting staff, and just like before, still one of the best options for Chinese and Japanese food in Stamford. We ordered the Sashimi Salad, Salmon Lover's Roll, Snow Mountain, Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, and Chicken with Broccoli, all delicious and solid. They also have Thai options as well which we didn't try this time, but if memory serves, their curry dishes were awesome. The food was a solid 3.5 stars. White rice is included. $46 for scallion pancakes, a sushi roll, Kung Pao chicken and Mongolian Beef. Plenty of leftovers too. They give you a condiment pack and fortune cookies like an old school Chinese spot. It's a good restaurant in a non-descript location in a small plaza right off Exit 9 on 95. To paraphrase the World's Most Interesting Man, "I don't always order Chinese food, but when I do, I prefer Blue Ginger." The price is right, it's clean, portions are hearty and the food is solid.
