Probably one of the only places I get my Chinese food from. Their sushi is also really good if you ever thought about getting it as well.

Blue ginger went away, but now they're back! The new location has a similar feel, if a bit more modern. The food is pretty much the same as before: capably executed pan-Asian cuisine. The multitude of sushi rolls and sashimi is always quality, and they bring the classic comfort foods as well: pad Thai, general tso, etc. The service and food help elevate Blue Ginger. I'm so glad that I found this hidden gem! I LOVE Chinese food, but it's really hard to find something that isn't your typical take-out quality. We ordered soups to start -the hot and sour is very tasty as was the egg drop, and then went on to share three dishes. The portions are very large, so there was enough left over for two more meals. The pork and eggplant in garlic sauce wasn't too saucy, and it was very flavorful. The Szechwan Beef with veggies was also great. I like how all the sauces actually tasted different. I know that should be a given, but unfortunately, many times dishes in Chinese restaurants all have the same tasting sauce even though they are listed differently. My favorite dish was the Ma Pa Tofu! They do have brown rice for an up charge of 50 cents a pop. Apart from delicious food, the service was also fantastic! The food was prepared quickly, and the waitstaff was exceptionally attentive in checking on us and refilling drinks. The whole meal for two, with tip, came out to under $50. They have a parking lot in back of the restaurant, so you don't need to worry about street parking. read more

I've only ordered delivery from Blue Ginger and their delivery is always great. I've never had any issues with their delivery service. My fiancé loves their Singapore street noodles and cold sesame noodles. I always go for their sushi for 2 platters (hey, I love sushi)! Sometimes their fish is good but sometimes, I get a few pieces that aren't cut right or it tastes super fishy and it's inedible. It's a hit or miss with the sushi but I always go back for more. read more

I ordered $82.00 lunch today for my kids and a few friends, when I asked how was it they all said not good. So I tried it myself. The General TOS chicken Was dry and disgusting no flavor dry. The spring rolls were greasy the the egg rolls were not cooked through and had nothing but raw cabbage in them. I called the manager and let him know, told him to try the food offered to bring it to him. I let him know we have been clients for 10 years he told me to look for another restaurant. I'm not sure if it's because we ordered very basic dishes on a Friday night but I must say the food leave a bit to be desired. We ordered chicken fried rice and shrimp fried rice. I get it standard Chinese food. But when I say that there was absolutely no flavor whatsoever, I truly am not overstating my truth. I literally had to come home and add my own seasoning just so we could enjoy the meal. I would like to give one of their recommended dishes a try in hopes of a better turnout. Blue Ginger opened in this new location recently, and being that I live nearby I decided to give it a try one night. My husband and I opted to dine in on the first occasion and liked it so much we have also ordered take-out twice so far. The restaurant is located in the strip mall plaza on East Main Street next to the jiu jitsu studio, and plenty of free parking is available in the lot right behind it. The decor inside is sharp with a serene feel: think pearlized dividers between booths, a waterfall, and spa-like music. The service was perfect and very friendly. The typical Chinese-American offerings tasted high quality, fresh, and flavorful. They take the extra mile to plate the food nicely which elevates the experience a bit. I'd recommend the moo shu pork. Now for the sushi. I'm a bit of a sushi fanatic, and I know good sushi when I see it (eat it?). The offerings here were very fresh, nice quality for the price, and very good. In fact, the spicy tuna roll here may be among the best I've ever had. I also recommend the spicy crabmeat roll and the egg drop soup, which is not too salty at all and contains a bit of corn mixed in with the usual egg. If you're into it, they offer some nice variations on bubble tea which can be difficult to find in this area. The honeydew melon flavor was sweet but tasty and refreshing - a nice treat. Look forward to returning soon for more sushi and to try the Thai dishes or noodle bowls. read more

Excellent Chinese/Japanese food in East Stanford. The food here is the best Chinese and Japanese food my wife and I have tasted in the whole Fairfield and Westchester County area. Having grown up enjoying NY Chinatown food, I am excited about once against revisiting those tastes from my youth. We ordered of the English menu, but there is a Chinese menu which my wife translated for me that you should definitely inquire about. There were many items on the menu, that we are looking forward to enjoying in our future visits. We both had a taste for their Teriyaki Salmon and were enchanted by the subtle crispy texture of the fresh salmon that we were served. The sweet and sour appetizer and the steamed vegetables accompanying the entree were excellent pairings for the fish. The Thai curries are very tasty and are excellent when shared with a sweet and sour dish. The food is made without MSG. A good sign of a high quality Asian restaurant. Even the soy sauce is made in Japan using the natural fermentation process. Food is also gluten free but make sure you ask just to make sure. They will make food in accordance to your dietary preferences. We didn't have a chance to taste the sushi, but it looked very fresh and something to look forward to in the future. Decor is fresh, modern and airy with quiet music to accompany your meal. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant with the entrance on Cortland but we found plenty of street parking available within a block from the restaurant. They have delivery service. We are so excited that there is such a great restaurant in East Stamford. Definitely not the worst fusion I've had, but honestly it was pretty bland. I ordered the House Fried Rice, the Basil Chicken lunch special with Hot & Sour Soup, and the Spicy California Roll. Visited the new location (1132 East Main St. right across from Exit 9 on I-95) for the first time tonight for take-out. The renovation is beautiful, and looks great! Modern feel but still inviting and comfortable. Was greeted by the hostess, who took my order and was very friendly and welcoming. I went with the Hot & Sour soup, Cold Sesame Noodles, and General Tso's chicken, all of which was really good... can't wait to go back for the full Sushi bar and other Chinese & Thai dishes. For anyone in the Cove/East Stamford/Darien area, this place is a must-try! I had heard good things about their Elm St. (Shippan area) location, but never had the chance to try it.... now that they are literally down the block from where I live, I will be a regular visitor, for sure! read more

This is the ONLY Chinese restaurant I go to in Stamford. Don't waste your time and money elsewhere. It's been hard finding good Chinese food after moving to CT, but this spot is good considering the other options. I recommend the sweet and sour chicken or General Tso's Chicken. Heads up- if you're a sesame chicken or orange chicken fan you need to request the thick chunks of chicken they use for the Tso's. Otherwise, you will get very thin slices of chicken which ends up too crispy/hard, which I was not a fan of at all. The restaurant says this is the style they make for the sesame and orange chicken dishes. Fried rice and lomein are solid. Crabmeat rangoons are ehhh- not enough crabmeat or cheese and too much dough. Egg rolls are decent. Like I said, CT lacks good Chinese restaurants but when I'm craving Chinese, this is my go-to. read more

I got the red curry which was mediocre, lacked flavor but good amount of chicken and veggies. Had to add hot sauce because it wasn't flavorful. The miso soup was good. Best Chinese food in Fairfield County! Authentic New York Chinese food... really good ! Delivery is poor.

Can't speak to anything but the orange beef as the others who ordered seemed to enjoy their dishes. My orange beef was a massive portion but MOSTLY breading which was super disappointing. The menu describes it as lightly fried but these were dredged in a ton of flour beforehand and certainly seemed heavily fried. The coating was at least 1/4" thick or more on some pieces with hardly any beef inside and many of the pieces were stuck and clumped together. Even though it was $13, not worth it since it's mainly breading. Sauce was tasty though, quality and care just wasn't there. I also did not find the eggroll to be very good. You NEEDED to dip it in the sauce, not a standalone item. There was also not much discernable difference between General Tso's and orange chicken sauce. A lot of this is subjective, but for great reviews and my first time ordering, I was expecting better. read more
