Boneless Spare Rib Tips with Pork fried Rice
Janay S.

So this was my first time having takeout from this restaurant. Last week I ordered the lumch special. Might I say for $10 the portion did not disappoint at all! It was ALOT, so you will get your money's worth. The one complaint I had was that there was no sauce on the boneless ribs. It was VERY dry! If that was my one request for this resteraunt, it would be to please put more sauce on the ribs. I was soooooo upset because it made the ribs unjoyable. On a high note, this was some of the freshest tasting chinese food I have had to date! I do recommend this place.

Sauteed Hollow Cress

Gave this place a chance even the reviews weren't that good and I made the right decision! Very rare to find a Chinese restaurant that serves authentic cuisine. The restaurant was not busy but they had a lot of take out orders. I had their salt and pepper pork- very good, crispy and juicy and huge portion. I also had the hollow cress - you need to go to white plains, queens or NYC to have this dish.. and so happy they make it here.. it was light and just delicious, not too much garlic and again portion was huge. It was just reminiscent in eating at HopKee in Chinatown NYC. I can't believe I didn't find them sooner. I'll be back for more authentic cuisine. Service was friendly, prompt and food came out quick and piping hot!

10 Szechuan Dumpling with Hot Sesame Sauce
Mari K.

Very tasty soup dumplings (juicy dumplings) but a little soft/ soggy so the wrapper ripped easily even when I tried to use my fingers instead of a spoon or chopsticks. Love the Szechuan sesame chili sauce with the Szechuan dumplings, would love for them to use this for some Dan Dan noodles :) Tried the Shanghai style sautéed udon out of curiosity, it's good but kind of like lo mein with udon. Which is fine, but probably nothing so exciting I would get it again. I asked for some chili or spice and they gave me two small containers which was very appreciated ! Very tasty. Cute little packet of sauces, tea, fortune cookies, plastic utensils but no chopsticks :) Great communication around delivery, fast and fresh.

Chicken soup with additional bok choy Chicken Noodle Soup For 2

I used to go to Pearl East, and I stopped because the previous owners were sometimes good sometimes bad, the food that is. Today is the first time I've been there with new management. I ordered three dishes starting with the chicken noodle soup five stars not salty, tasty. I asked for bean sprouts and chicken, with garlic sauce which was not on the menu. I was satisfied. With taste, price was a little high. I'd rate this a four on a five scale, again not salty. Very tasty. Finally, I ordered shrimp and broccoli excellent taste 4.5 on a five scale. No changes in atmosphere I would say pleasant and big. There were 3 to 4 people ahead of me waiting for takeout. I only waited 20 minutes. The wait time was acceptable. I spent all my time reading the menu which is very complex. The date is December 10 and I think I would rate this a go to for your Chinese food. keep in mind a couple of things this is new management or new owners. There was only one woman working upfront I get it they're trying to save a little money and not hire somebody until they get on their feet being an old-time retailer, I understand. And for those of you that don't understand why there's only one person working upfront how about the best Greek restaurant in Stamford Hope Street Pizza? They have no help so they closed the inside part of their business. Temporarily they only do takeout and they are a landmark restaurant. Has someone else said if you want authentic Chinese food, you must go to Flushing or Chinatown in Manhattan.

Burnt egg rolls, over fried noodles, wonton soup that has more sodium than a salt lick!

Greasy food. Wanted to charge 1 1/2 times for an egg white egg foo young.Burnt egg rolls burnt noodles. Ordered steamed chicken with vegetables.and sauce.chicken tasted like it was cooked from frozen, not fresh.Sauce was soy sauce, nothing special.Terrible service. 3 out of 4 of us were served. Our 4th person had to wait an additional 15minutes. However they had to ask us what our friend ordered.. Btw, all this happened with only 4 of us in the restaurant!! Sake was luke warm. Manager didn't even say Thank you for comming. Terrible customer service and food!!! Avoid like the plague!! Will not return!!!!! Avoid this place like the plague!!! What a

Double cooked pork, same flavor as Buddhist delight
Kat T.

tl;dr: Below average flavor, not authentic despite looking like it, small portions and pricey. Disappointing food and service. Was excited for this authentic looking Chinese restaurant so decided to order delivery. I called and asked the difference between the "double cooked pork" between normal and chinese menu (it was like $1 difference) and the lady on the phone said "it's the same thing", and after putting me on hold for two minutes said "the pork is different" but couldn't tell me how. Despite this interaction I decided to take a chance and ordered anyway. We got the double cooked pork and buddhist delight - two different dishes. And yet, the taste was identical. Buddhist delight was almost all broccoli. The double cooked pork had small pieces of thin tofu in it. For the price I had expected better taste and/or better portions, but with this taste I think I will stick to the other place down the road for american chinese take out and venture farther away from Stamford for real chinese food... Delivery was quick and food hot, so that was ok.

The food was just fantastic. Reminded me of my youth and the Asian restaurants I went to as a kid.

I'm happy to find a Chinese take out that still have great quality like this one…read more Don't miss the fried Chicken wings here, it's crispy outside juicy inside and good size. General tso Chicken & shrimp broccoli are good, although the sauce taste slightly different but still very close to what you find in traditional Chinese restaurant 20 years ago. Food are fresh and very nice people. Spacious with restroom, good place to go as an alternate choice to Indian restaurant next door. Both are my favorite now.

A true hidden gem in Stamford!…read more I found a gem right in my own backyard. Panda Garden is a cut above the rest when it comes to Chinese food. The quality is excellent, the flavors are on point, and the portions are generous. Honestly, it might be the best I've had in Stamford so far. I've tried a few different items from here and they've all been hits: * Chicken Egg Foo Young - flavorful, and the gravy ties it all together perfectly. * Pork Fried Rice - savory with good quality pork. * Beef and Broccoli - tender beef, rich sauce, and fresh broccoli. * Half Chicken and French Fries - not greasy at all, crispy fries, and a solid portion. * Pork Egg Rolls - some of the best I've had anywhere, big and full of flavor. * Spare Ribs - juicy, good flavor, and great size. The restaurant is pretty spacious inside, clean, and brightly lit, which makes it a comfortable spot to dine in. The staff is friendly, and there's convenient parking right out front and around the side. My only complaint is that it can be a little pricey for what it is, but the flavor and quality make up for it. Overall, Panda Garden delivers great food, great service, and a welcoming vibe. If you're craving Chinese, skip the chains and give this place a try -- you'll probably end up coming back like I did.
