Enjoyed everything about the Thai Basi experience. First time visiting the Greenwhich CT location. The ambiance the decor were amazing. And the food wow hands down some of the best we had in a long time. The server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed definitely a must visit if you are a connoisseur of Thai food!!

It is not for me, my advice to chef or the owner is don't do the cuisine if you don't know. Ordered PHO BEEF but it is the worse thing I had ever. Stoped by after meeting nearby, I love all kind of Noodles but had this worse experience. May be not lucky

    The Bangkok Box- Massaman Curry

On our journey back to Jersey from Boston, we made a stop at this little, bright, and charming Thai restaurant. It exceeded every anticipation I had, I must say. The lively, inviting atmosphere combined with the exquisite decor makes for the perfect backdrop for a true Thai experience. Each item on the menu is increasingly better than the others, making for an incredible selection. Tasty Thai iced tea--people who know me know how much I love Thai ice tea and usually order it when I dine at any Thai restaurant--best I've had in a long time. A flawless ten out of 10. The incredible food, delightful ambiance, and top-notch service at this restaurant truly make an impression. Very recommended for everyone hoping for an unforgettable Thai experience!

Thai Basil has always been my go to in town. It is now under new ownership since March 2024. It is back on track to being one of the most amazing venues in town. The portions are generous and OB the owner is a delight. She has modernized it and is continuing to make it super special. The drinks are awesome too. Stop by you won't regret it. Lastly the price point is a good bang for your buck.

Seriously the most unreal food. The BEST curry and drunken noodle I've ever had from anywhere. The customer service is 12/10, the music and atmosphere is so calm and serene and the interior design is beautiful. Perfectly situated on the bottom of the avenue. This is our new go to spot for authentic Thai cuisine 1000000%

Very unfortunate experience today having been a customer for many years. Both of the chicken satays we ordered comprised of chunks of chicken put together on a skewer with fat and tendons .... Completely inedible... if they were out of chicken they should have been honest. It's not right to take scraps from cutting room floor and pass it on to customers.

The Bangkok Box is a great deal with a nice selection (high quality massaman curry for me) for a great price! I definitely recommend this place!! Servers and polite and friendly and the booths are stylish and comfy

Very unimpressed with their chicken pad Thai. It was very ordinary and almost $18 before tip.

It's very chic, nice and clean on the inside and the guy at the counter was super helpful. I started with the chicken wontons which were soooo good, had a nice strong ginger and garlic sauce which was so beautifully flavorful. I got the veggie based pho since the beef broth had fish sauce in it (I have an aversion to any type of seafood) so the broth itself lacked some flavor which is to be expected but the beef was nice and thinly sliced, the vermicelli was great and the sauces were really good too. It was also served HOT which really cleared my sinuses and felt very refreshing. Overall a great experience and will definitely be coming back! Those wontons were definitely the highlight for me.

Overall though it's a small space, well lit, clean with a nice ambiance. Food? In this instance I ordered two dishes which are what I consider mainstays of any Vietnamese restaurant... I ordered a Bahn Mi and Pho. I have to say, on both counts they scored hits with the food. Both were well done and tasty and there are no complaints there. I would recommend them for people liking good Vietnamese. I'd even say it wouldn't be a bad place to dine in, I think they had a radio and TVs going and I'd be a little reluctant only because of noise level but I did like the bright space and the layout and color design of the restaurant. It's a modern and very compelling space to be in for a meal.

This is somehow takeout for some of the Greenwichites although in other territories nobody would ever dare takeout from such a lovely and lively ambiant. Suit jacket upon suit jacket crowd by the inside of the door, shaking each other's hands and sharing faux cheek pecks. I saw way too many salads hit tables even though they were probably very good. Anything to stay snatched, holla at boy. Excuse me, your man... gentleman. Pilates. Reformers. Hot yoga. Amazing town to study. Just amazing. Anyways - Bao Buns are very good, dumplings solid. Pad Thai is like a savory pad see ew / pad Thai combo - very nice. Their star savory crepe is very fresh tasting and the chicken inside the crepe is very very nice. Pricing is fair. Service was quick, the servers were nice but cautiously and potentially judgingly so if that makes sense. Like if you waved your mitts across their face their eyes would roll behind their sockets and they'd start hitting thriller. And maybe a Soulja boy... YOUUUUUUU. You should give this place a try. It's good. I wouldn't call it 5 star great though. I'd like to try a few more things but nothing really stood out, nothing really disappointed. For the local tribes it's straight vibes. For us outta towners, one go was enough but I won't say no to a second-go.

Everything I've ordered has been amazing, and I honestly don't understand how the rating is so low. The service is super fast, and while I usually do takeout, the inside looks very clean and well kept. The General Tso's chicken is outstanding, and I also love the lo mein. Unlike so many other Chinese spots in Greenwich, the food here isn't greasy at all, which makes such a difference. I can't recommend this place enough--I'm constantly telling everyone about it. Over past visits, I've ordered the mango & jicama salad, mixed greens salad, seaweed salad, satay chicken, salmon avocado roll, and yellowtail scallion roll, and have also shared the wonton soup, spicy scallop roll, and Philadelphia roll. The mango & jicama salad is light and refreshing, the seaweed salad is standard, but I prefer the mixed greens salad -- it feels a bit more substantial and includes jicama, tomatoes, carrots, and a tasty peanut dressing. The satay chicken was solid and true to its name, though a bit oily for my taste. The wonton soup had a nice balance of filling to wrapper and was comforting. Both the salmon avocado roll and yellowtail scallion roll were fresh with a good fish-to-rice ratio. The yellowtail scallion roll wasn't rolled tightly enough, so it fell apart a little, but it still tasted great. The spicy scallop roll came mixed, which isn't my personal preference, and the Philadelphia roll was about what you'd expect. Overall, my favorites are the mixed greens salad, salmon avocado roll, and yellowtail scallion roll. I plan to stick with those three next time!
