I have recently been there for lunch. It is located in the plane downtown area. My impression is that this is by far the most expensive Thai restaurant that I've been to for the ambience. A lunch and a appetizer cost over $40. The food is acceptable and you can tell the the chef is a Thai. The socials are good. Portions are small. The chicken pot pie has good taste but it is not even grilled. It is pan fried, and is sauce is minimum, been barely enough for the chicken. Masammar taste good the beef is tough and only a few pieces. The potato is barely cooked. It does not even served with any fresh herb, not even for decorated purpose. I'm in Rye for business and was looking for a good Thai restaurant. Although the reviews had me a bit concerned, it was getting late and I decided to give it a try anyways. I'm sure glad I did! I didn't run into any of the issues found in the poor reviews. Let me start with the service. I walked in and was immediately greeted and told to sit anywhere. I had multiple folks attending me - setting the place, getting water and menus. The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful (as I was interested in trying something new). Before I left, I was told they have order ahead and delivery capability in case I was interested for future orders. Overall - excellent service. Now for the food. I started with an appetizer - this wasn't anything new for me, I get the same thing every time ... Fresh shrimp spring roll. These were great. The rolls were tight and had plenty of fresh basil. The peanut dipping sauce was standard and very good. In addition to the regular "filling", they added cucumbers - a refreshing twist that I enjoyed. My only nit with the appetizer is that there were 2 spring rolls with each cut into twos. The problem with this is the 2 "middles" are very difficult to keep together. Very minor "nit" that is easily remedied by using a fork to get all the fall out pieces at the end. For the entre I got Pad Woon Sen Chicken - extra spicy. This was an excellent dish with plenty of veggies, minced chicken and glass noodles in a spicy sauce. This was the first time I've tried this dish and would get it again. There were several other dishes I'd love to try ... I'll have to wait until I come back to Rye. Bottom line - the food was excellent and the service great. I would recommend visiting Little Thai Kitchen if you're in Rye and looking for a good meal. read more

I very much enjoyed my tasty experience at The Little Thai Kitchen! The decor was inviting and fun for a lunch or dinner out. It's been a very long time since I had delicious Tufu green curry and I was NOT disappointed. The vegetables were very fresh, tofu properly prepared, and the green curry bursted with fabulous coconut favor with spice. We ordered 3 Thai Ice Teas which hit the spot. I found what appeared to be a cockroach in our food. That's right, a lovely little critter in my cashew chicken dish. It originally appeared to be a mushroom. Maybe it was a beetle? But it sure looked like a cockroach to me and my wife. (They quickly took away the dish before I could snap a picture) Cooked into the food! ...and then the owner refuses to comp us the meal. At first they offer to just take the dish off the check. Then try to negotiate with me that they will only give 20% off the other dishes. All of which we wish we had never touched. We had lunch there for the very first time today since it opened in Rye. We ordered Basil Chicken and chicken pad ted. They both were pretty good (but I like Basil Chicken sauce better). The only drawback is the sauce is on the salty side for my taste and you may need to order an extra bowl of rice to finish the dish! I am hands down- DISGUSTED with this sorry excuse of a dining establishment. Red flag number 1 was that when I walked in to pick up my food order, I saw no one wearing a mask or gloves. I didn't see any chefs as they were in the back behind a door, but I have been PRAYING that they were wearing masks. Being that we are in the midst of a pandemic- I should have just turned around and never looked back. But we were hungry and had already paid for our food. Once we arrived back at home ready to eat, the summer rolls just did not look or taste right. The broccoli in the pad see ew was undercooked. I have now tried the Little Thai Kitchen in Rye twice. The first time I ordered Pad Thai and the second Pad See Ew. Both times what I received was basically an order of chicken and broccoli, with a few noodles thrown in. I gave it 2 stars because the chicken and broccoli tasted good, (and I did enjoy the mango sticky rice I ordered as well), but if I wanted just chicken and broccoli, I would have ordered that. I ordered a noodle dish because I wanted noodles! With both dishes, there were very few noodles to be found. Very disappointing. read more

They get one star for delivering some food; another as the food was edible. But they lost 3 stars and me as a future customer by getting an order wrong and refusing to remedy it. I ordered the Pad See-Ew. Their site says the basic dish comes with flat rice noodles, broccoli, egg, and light soy sauce. Below that description, one has to choose from the following protein options to proceed: chicken, beef, tofu/vegetable, shrimp, mock duck, or duck. I chose tofu/vegetable. The dish came with flat noodles, a little overcooked egg, and tofu. No broccoli, nor any other vegetable. However, there was at least one piece of chicken in it which wouldn't have sat well with vegetarian/vegans. Perhaps this was because my girlfriend ordered the duck version and they got sloppy. I called to ask them to send a correct order. I explained to the first person on the phone, who didn't say they fix it, who put me on hold while she got her manager. I explained again. This person only wanted to tell me that the special instructions were that I asked for "tofu only." But, I hadn't. I'd clicked on "tofu/vegetable," and nothing in the confirmation reflected otherwise. She kept insisting, and I said that regardless of what their interface ordering system did that I hadn't requested, the order was not what I entered, and was totally unacceptable to me. Still no indication that they would do anything about it. So, I did what I told her I would do - split my girlfriend's dish (with very tough, overcooked chicken), make a note to never order from them again, and post this review. Well done, LTK! Found an earring on our food- gross. Also, one time they got our delivery order wrong and they asked for it back. My son didn't know it was a mistake (a lot of dishes look similar) and took a few bites before he realized but we gave all the food back - the restaurant was very upset with us for that -the manager called and yelled at me. Good pad Thai and drunken noodles but the stars of the show here are the awesome curry dishes. They're among the best I've had in the area, especially the yellow curry. Im not one to write reviews or even have a yelp account, but after my experience I felt the need to do so. Absolutely the worst service and food I have ever had from a restaurant. We were first seated then told that only takeout was available, which we obliged to however the attitude from the staff was unacceptable. We ordered drunken noodles and pad see ew and they gave us two pad sews. We were also the only customers in the restaurant so how could you possibly get the only order you have wrong? On top of that the food was the most bland and uninspired combination of noodles and vegetables I've ever eaten to the point where I contemplated calling my bank to reject the charge because I just paid 65 dollars for 2 bowls of soggy booger noodles and a few pieces of calamari. I will say the hostess was nice enough but the person who was making the food clearly did not care about our order and when handing us the bag did not say a word or even look at us. Not to mention the takeout had no utensils or napkins. Absolutely everything was terrible about this place and the prices for the food are unjustifiable. The entree prices are double that of any other Thai place. If you are contemplating coming here I sincerely urge you to consider other options. I will never be eating here again and I don't recommend anyone else to either you can find better food and service at chipotle. read more

Having eaten in Little Thai Kitchen in Byram Ct., I was excited to try the one in Rye. We ordered Pad Thai and ginger chicken which were brought to us within 2 minutes of ordering. Both dishes were cold and when we sent them back they were microwaved and returned within another 2 minutes. I don't go to restaurants to get microwaved food. The Pad Thai was good but the chicken had no flavor. I'll stick to the Byram location. read more

They messed up with my online orders inspite of placing it right.On top of it...instead of apologizing and being sorry about it , they had a very bad attitude.
