Thai food connoisseur here so I had to give this one a try. My favorite dish is always the Pad Se Ew so I of course got that as my entree. I added chicken and shrimp (for an extra 5$). The noodles in the pad se ew are my absolute favorite ! They are so squishy and chewy! The Chinese broccoli adds a bitterness to the dish which I enjoy but I was pleasantly surprised to see the added carrots. I also got edamame and the mango sticky rice for dessert. Edamame is always a great appetizer but I was most excited for the mango sticky rice. I have not had this in years so it was just perfect!!! The mango was perfectly ripe, the coconut sauce was creamy and sweet and the sticky rice was nice and sticky and purple my fave color! Lol! Pad Thai Chicken with a little spice was solid. Nice size portion. Fresh. Al Dante rice noodles (seriously, for me this is a make or break when it comes to any noodle dish from any country). While waiting for a friend to join us, I asked if they still allowed B.Y.O.B. and was told yes. Once we confirmed and found out the liquor store was very close, my daughter went and got a bottle of white wine for us. I asked for glasses, and three wine glasses were placed on our table. When I asked for ice, our waitress pleasantly brought a glass full. What we ate: The curry puffs were filled with a delicious mixture of chicken, potato, onion, and curry. The sweet fish sauce served alongside was perfect for dipping. Pork Belly Ka Prow - A hearty portion of succulent pork belly stir-fried with fresh basil, onion, string beans, and bell peppers, all coated in a rich chili garlic sauce. Pork Pad See Ew - fresh rice noodles stir fried with Chinese broccoli, carrot, and egg in a dark soy sauce. On the heat level my daughter opted for 3 out of 4.I will trust her word that it was spicy because she started hiccuping after the first bite. When the hiccups subsided, she insisted, "It's not too hot." (Hmm?) One of the best Shrimp Pad Thais I've ever had! It was on the sweeter side, which I enjoy, and included egg, bean sprouts, ground peanuts, and five perfectly cooked jumbo shrimp. For dessert, we ordered the Mango Sticky Rice, which featured a generous serving of fresh, ripe mango alongside sticky rice. The rice was colored green with pandan and purple (not sure of the ingredient), and topped with a delicious coconut sauce. Both of my lunch companions thought it was quite good. The restaurant has a free parking lot in front, and the air conditioning was perfectly cool on a hot day. The two gender-neutral bathrooms were clean. Last week, we were informed about this new Thai place by my wife's' co-worker. Undecided about dinner, I suggested Neung Thai Kitchen & off we went. The place is located in a tiny, tiny strip mall. The three of us walked in without a reservation & hand signaled 3. The hostess pointed out a table behind us. We were seated immediately. The place is very small. It's bright and airy, well lit. If I recall correctly there are about 8 tables seating four each. There is also a banquet bench running along one wall, so the seating capacity maybe a bit larger. Started this review in June, now it's December. It's a BYOB & no corking charges. We've been there now about four times. Highly recommend it. The noodle dish was absolutely delicious, and I would come back for that, but the two rice dishes were very disappointing. First of all, they were two separate rice dishes, one with pineapple rice, and one was Thai rice, and yet both of them tasted identical. Additionally, they were made with very low quality rice, like Long grain or par boiled or something not jasmine rice, which she would expect from a Thai restaurant. so, overall there were some good things, but if you're going for rice, I would not get it from here. read more

I stopped by this restaurant while in the area running some errands. I simply searched for the nearest Thai restaurant on Yelp n I called in my order first - chicken satay, massaman curry with beef and shrimp pineapple fried rice. I also tried the Thai iced tea. When I arrived to pick up my order the staff was friendly and greeted me immediately. I really thought I would enjoy everything I tasted based on appearance but the food was just ok. Out of everything I tried in my order the chicken satay was the best but I have definitely had better. The massaman curry was my least favorite because it tasted as if was very watered down to me. Five stars all the way! Small but comfortable dining area. We made a reservation on a Saturday night. They seem to do a lot of take out as well. The noise level was low and soft. Perfect for an evening with my 90 year old folks. We started with spring rolls and steamed pork dumplings. They came out PIPING HOT! Nice! Neung Thai Kitchen is the best, authentic Thai restaurant in Westchester County. My husband and I went to Thailand many years ago and when we stumbled upon this place, we were immediately blown away by the staff providing attention, care and service to our needs. It was wonderful to hear about their culture and background as well as stories as they originate from Thailand and how their love for their home country shows in the impeccable food provided. We have been here a few times and every dish I tried is like I'm transported back to my trip there which makes me excited to go in the future with my daughter. The pad Thai , Tom Yum Noodles and their desserts are truly delicious and I recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Thai food. It seems Westchester has long suffered from a lack of great Thai restaurants, so I was thrilled upon hearing of this new spot. The restaurant is very small, about the size of a cafe, and easily overlooked; inside, a small staff of friendly but sometimes seemingly overwhelmed servers scurries around to tend to guests. The menu has all the classic Thai staples plus some Chinese dishes here and there. I ordered the roast duck noodle soup, which was fantastic; most notable was the generous amount of crispy, tender duck! The pad thai was good, not too sweet; the green curry was well-seasoned and very, very creamy; the thai fried rice was standard. The prices for some items are a little high for the portions. $8 for a tiny bowl of average Tom Yum soup is unnecessary. Also, there was a swarm of flies around our table for the duration of our meal. Went here on a weekday and the restaurant was receiving a ton of takeout orders -- maybe that's the way to do it next time. read more

They offered my something to drink, but No worries, I was in no rush. The kitchen was a buzz in activity. Cooks trying to get everything sorted in the new place, it was nice to hear. On to the food: Tom Yum soup with shrimp. A bit pricey, but delicious. Drunken noodles with beef. Beef was chewy, no sure if it was the quality or they didn't slice it against the the grain. The dish was tasty though. All and all a soup and an entree was a little over $30. If that's in your budget, absolutely check it out. We went for lunch and then another time, for dinner. Neung Thai Kitchen is a small but cute neighborhood restaurant. Their lunch menu includes a soup with your entree. We had two different noodle dishes at lunch and both were good. For dinner we had their coconut shrimp, an eggplant with assorted veggies in a basil sauce, and salmon in a curry sauce. I'm a vegan, so love all of the Thai curries with tofu; also really enjoyed a cashew-nut dish with tofu last time I was there. Thai iced teas are delicious! We usually eat-in; even though there are few tables and chairs inside out, we never have trouble getting a table on Friday or Saturday nights (although they do take reservations). One thing to note - by default, everything we got was not very spicy at all, even when they were indicated as being spicy on the menu. Coming from Hell's Kitchen, which has become a mini Mecca for Thai food, this little joint in Westchester holds up surprisingly well. The flavors were well balanced, the ingredients were well cooked (with the exception of the pork belly which was far too tough and over cooked), and the dishes were well enough portioned. Ordered takeout: Tom Yum soup, Pad See Ew and Massaman Curry. I was excited about having a new Thai restaurant back in the area so I ordered my typical Thai order, being very hopeful based on other reviews, that they'd live up to expectations. So here's my review of my order: Soup: very disappointing, primarily because it was all broth with very little of anything else aside from 2 pcs of shrimp. Pad See Ew: maybe this is a matter of taste...I like my noodles a bit starchy. I actually love a slightly "charred" flavor and the noodles that clump. This is not that. These noodles were soaked in a Thai gravy. The vegetables and pork were good but overall-- I give it an "eh" out of 10. Chicken Curry Massaman: this dish was just ok. Not the worst I've had but far from the best. I expect a coconut/nutty tamarind and curry flavor in this dish but it was all fairly bland. The potato was also undercooked-- again, not terrible but it should not have had any raw spots. I will likely not be back to this place. If I was looking for adequate Thai food, I would eat at the Asian fusion restaurant in Dobbs ferry that serves Thai. In my opinion, it's better than this one and a bit less expensive. read more

Tried this place today for a late lunch. My first impressions are that the restaurant is very clean, and the staff is friendly. On to the food. We had a very tasty mango salad service was prompt and courteous. The produce was crisp and fresh. Spring rolls were good. Nicely crisped shells with vegetable stuffing and a Thai Chili sauce for dipping. The steamed shumai was a bit disappointing. While it was flavorful, the dish was ice cold. This would indicate the dish was frozen and not properly thawed and heated. The main dish was Pad Broccoli with tofu. The Broccoli was fresh and the sauce was delicious, however, the tofu could have been better executed. If it was supposed to be crispy, it failed. I'm assuming it was cooked with the Broccoli and the sauce which made it soggy. A possible solution would be to cook the vegetables and tofu separately and combine them right before serving. We had mango sticky rice for dessert. I thought it was delicious but way overpriced. I have the same thoughts on the Thai Ice Tea. There is a place in CT that sells Thai Iced Tea for $1.75 per glass. The glass easily holds 16 oz. Overall I felt the food was OK but could use a bit more attention. Everything else was great. read more

Meh! I'm bummed because I so wanted to like this place. I went for lunch. The service was good- and they were busy. I got Pad Thai with tofu. The noodles were oily and too orange from the oil I think. The tofu was over fried and chewy. Chopped scallions were scattered on top - but they weren't cooked and in turn were missing that great color they get from being fried. It simply wasn't delicious as that dish should be. My friend had the Pad See Ew and while it was better, it was far too greasy as well. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place at all. Bummer!!! read more
