Ube ice cream
Kevin C.

Our first time here driving from Catskills back home. We stopped by during lunch hours on a Saturday and had to wait for a table. Wasn't terribly long of a wait and the place looked happening with bunch of patrons. My son and I both ordered beef pho for about $18 each. It didn't come in a super large bowl and I was bit apprehensive at first of the portion size. Luckily, they did pack the bowl well, and it had enough soup broth to make it lasting. It was delicious and we didn't feel super parched at all after the meal. My wife ordered the grilled pork chop over rice lunch special for about $15. There are lunch vs dinner portion and it's nice that there are lunch portions at a tad cheaper price. The pork chop was had ton of flavor and didn't feel super dry at any point. They ran out of the sesame balls so we got one order of the ube ice cream. That too was a home run. We would recommend this place.

My favorite restaurant. My wife and goddaughter took me here on my birthday . We come here at least twice a month or more . Their food and service is always stellar. This is the only place which I can claim has the best stir fried garlic French string beans. This is by far my favorite appetizer. Of course their pho is always #1 in all of Westchester. Carol always treats us like family.

This place is always packed . very low-key and very friendly. The food is always good . We like to come here, especially on a cold or rainy day and get one of the soups .

Came here for the pho and it was very good, but the waitress was rather aloof. The hallo hallo was also good, as were other appetizers (pictured.) No one seemed to care we were here, and If anyone reads my reviews they know I'm all about service. That is to say that the service was lackluster. The space was clean, and spacious. Parking was good. Conclusion: come solely for the food, don't have high hopes for service. The chef is doing his job, but the front end needs to get it together.

Ribs are tasty but very salty. Meat falls off the bones. Vietnamese coffee: I get it extra sweet. Beef Pho: can't go wrong with this choice. Only wish they put more beef in it. Noodles are not bad The vermicelli pork is a kid favorite We tried catfish mango - it's deep fried catfish and a mango slaw (asked for on the side bc it's spicy so kids can still eat the fish); very crispy/crunchy Halo Halo: kids are obsessed with halo halo - other than the ice being very chunky, it's pretty decent. Not much liquid/milk once things are mixed in. Everyone is pretty nice! The restaurant is almost always full when we are there. Not much wait for us but fills up quick!

I was looking for a place to grab Vietnamese food in Westchester and Yelp pointed me to Vietnam's Central. Right off the bat, some quick positives for me were the big parking lot, friendly service, and clean space. Onto the food, my favorites here were the fried pork rolls, grilled marinated pork chop, and beef pho. I would skip the thai iced tea and summer rolls as I've had better at most other Vietnamese restaurants.

My family and I ordered food from Vietnam Central for a weekday dinner takeout. The restaurant actually had quite a few people dining around 3pm. The menu is on the smaller side, and I'd say many of the dishes aren't your classic Vietnamese dishes - but they were good. They seemed more to be Asian fusion. The mock beef in mushroom sauce was good and lasted more than one meal, and I would definitely get the Vietnam's Hot Wings again. The Grilled Marinated Pork Chop was a little small but tasty. I'd probably skip the Stir Fried Noodles with chicken (just average), and the shrimp appetizer was solid. Pretty good Asian option if you're in the area. Edit caption

It was a different flavor that I never had before, but very tasty. For entrees they ordered a sliced steak and chicken parm. I went for the seared duck with mushroom gravy. I never had duck served this way. I really really enjoyed it. No one wanted a dessert so my grandson ordered espresso and I ordered a cappuccino. The waitress brought us thin slices of powdered sugar biscotti as a compliment. The ambience is quiet and cozy and dimly lit with an electric light on each table. On the menu it mentions like this restaurant is a sister location of Cafe Alia, also in Scarsdale. This was an excellent choice for Thursday night. You won't be disappointed.Sal E. New Rochelle

I've never had hair service that felt like a warm hug. So here's my salon background: nowhere near this, I can tell you that. I've been going to the same little shop in Chinatown in the city since I was a broke college kid for ten years. Paying $30 plus tip just to get the job done, just for a semblance of put together hair. Well... I'm a grown up now and it's time for an upgrade, time for new things to try. And comparing Hair Saloon and my little reliable shop... the phrase I would use is you get what you pay for. The quality Brianna and Danielle exposed to me to is something I would never turn my back on now that I've had a taste of it. When I walked into the salon, which shares a little building with a nail salon next door, my nervous little self was greeted with warm smiles and welcomes. I was given a little tour of the cafe/bar side, and then the section where the actual magic begins. Seeing as how they've open during the height of COVID, they're still very infection control friendly! The chairs in the cutting/stying section are more than generously six feet apart, and the chairs by the washing station are separated by clear screens. 10/10 for cleanliness because you see these other businesses and since late 2021, you know hygiene has definitely been thrown out the window. You know you're dishing out a little more $ when there's massage chairs during the hair wash. In my head I was just wow'd because Chinatown could never lol. Brianna was great during the wash. One thing I have to commend them for is the communication step-by-step. She asked me my preferences in shampoo, and I usually opt for products that offer volume, so she introduced me to R&Co, which was pretty much *the* brand that was used on me throughout my appointment. I really appreciated how she explained the different types of shampoo they used and who would benefit from what. The shampoo, the hair serum, and hair spray I'm pretty sold on because I'm that person who's always looking for the next best thing when it comes to hair and face products. Now Danielle. You are the GOAT. Thank you for showing me what it's like to be well taken care of as a client. There is something in that customer service of yours that feels so warm and it's like, of course the business would be 5 stars on here! You're like the big sister of hair, telling me what works and what doesn't. I told you this during the service, but you are absolutely absolutely absolutely the master of your craft! :) Dear future customers, the way Danielle can utilize and manipulate round brushes? It's honest to God like being in the audience of a magic show lol Hair Saloon fulfilled everything I was looking for a new salon: trendy, modern, close to home, young and kind stylists who are willing to collaborate with you for a fresh take on your appearance, and I didn't ask for this but it's a welcome bullet point: drinks!!! :) Cannot wait to be back!

The bread was nice and hearty and the dressing on the side salad was pleasantly tangy. However, the avocado was not at all fresh. It was slightly brown and tasted like guacamole left in the fridge for a day or two. My husband got the chicken sandwich and was pleased with the taste, portion size, and accompanying fries. My lemonade was on the sweet side. I prefer a bit more of a fresh citrus taste so I asked for some lemon wedges and that helped. Our waiter was friendly.
