    Shrimp Pad See-Ew

I have come here and ordered from here. The food was has been ok; when I ate there the soup was good and the service was good. When I ordered take out; the noodles were ok but a little overcooked. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. I would definitely go back and order other items to see which one I like the best. For Thai food it is the only option in White Plains.

Tried shrimp and pork wonton noodles for lunch. Service was fast and efficient. The bowl didn't taste very authentic, but it wasn't too bad either.

Just had lunch at Noodles Plus and it was a delight! The lunch specials come with a choice of 1 spring roll, 1 chive dumpling, or 1 pork pot sticker. I tried the chive dumpling, which was wonderfully springy and paired perfectly with a tasty dipping sauce, along with small handful of lightly dressed lettuce. Go for the chive dumpling it's different in a good way. The lunch menu features classic Thai dishes like Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai, though I noticed there's no Pad See Ew listed as a lunch option. You can add chicken, tofu, beef, or shrimp to your dishes; we both opted for beef in our noodles--Pad Thai for me and Drunken Noodles for her. The portions were generous and absolutely delicious! The restaurant is cozy and quite popular during lunch hours, especially with the nearby office crowd in downtown White Plains. Don't expect a leisurely lunch, service is quick. There are about 8 tables inside where several can be pushed together to accommodate 4 or more. A few outside tables would be nice to dine at but too windy today. We loved our meals and can't wait to return for either lunch or dinner when we have more time to unwind! My daughter says they have some of the best mango sticky rice she's eaten here in Westchester.

Really tasty!! Summer rolls were fresh, great peanut sauce. The drunken noodles were so good - each noodle was thoroughly coated with sauce and delicious flavor. Fairly spicy but still allows the flavor to shine through.

Minced Chicken Over Rice with Fried Egg

It's been years since I've dined in, but I remember Noodle Plus having really good food, so I decided to order takeout/delivery to give it another go. Ordered the Shrimp and Wonton Noodle Soup, Kao Soi Noodle Soup, Drunken Noodles, and Minced Chicken over Rice. The food tasted great with the exception of the Drunken Noodles. I thought it tasted far too sour than what I'm normally used to. Not sure if it was the ill-tasting Drunken Noodles or the curry broth/pickled veggies that came with the Kao Soi that got me feeling sick though. I really wanted to give this place at least four stars, but something must have gone wrong in the food handling.

    Thai hot wings
    Hubert H.

This was an excellent place with a wide variety of noodle dishes. Started with the appetizers. The Thai hot chicken wings were quite excellent if a bit sweet. They were nice and crispy on the outside with a nice sweet gooey sauce slathered over the skin as well. It would have been nice if they balanced flats and drumsticks. The vegetarian dumplings were decent as well. These were more refreshing than the wings. They weren't extremely flavored but one could get a sense of the vegetable and mushroom flavoring inside the dumplings. The skins were nice and soft. The pad thai was texturally excellent. I loved how the dish was accompanied by peanuts and fresh bean sprouts on the side. Unfortunately for my taste, the dish was much too sweet; that said I was appreciative of the noodle texture and the flavoring. The shrimp was nicely seared. The wonton noodle soup was quite decent. The noodles were slightly overcooked and the broth was not particularly rich or distinctive. But the wontons were quite large and full of good shrimp and pork fillings. I am quite particular of wontons so I was fairly impressed with this particular version. The Singapore rice noodle dish contains some strong flavors though I wish they would have used more yellow curry. The noodles were also a tad bit damp and less texturally punchy than I typically like them. A gazillion stars for the staff and the chefs: it was the end of the day and they delivered the food to the table quickly, freshly, and with much skill. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. A destination to revisit in order to try new proteins new flavors and new dishes.

Gregarious owner who was right in recommending their creamy Tom Yum noodle seafood soup on a freezing cold evening. It's not that spicy, really!

Dumpling combo was terrific. The chicken noodle soup was not seasoned and chicken was way over cooked. Not worth the $40 spent.

I ordered the shrimp rolls, meatless turnip cake, hot & sour soup, veggie dumplings, chive dumplings, and (very ambitiously) General Tso's chicken. Every dish was delicious, but the chive dumplings were the standout--perfect texture, fresh flavor, and not heavy at all. I could've easily ordered more. The hot & sour soup was comforting, and everything felt well-balanced rather than greasy. I was too full to fully enjoy the General Tso's, but even a few bites were great. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they validate parking (I thought it would be free, but it ended up being a reduced rate, which is still a great perk).

The Real Deal for Dim Sum in Westchester…read more If you're looking for white tablecloths and a fancy vibe, Aberdeen Seafood & Dim Sum probably isn't your spot. The decor is basic, and it's tucked inside the Marriott Residence Inn--you literally have to walk through the hotel lobby, hang a left, and look for the massive brass door. But if you're here for the food? You're in the right place. I've eaten my way through a ton of dim sum spots in NYC, and honestly, Aberdeen holds its own against all of them. The quality and freshness of the ingredients are just on another level. You aren't going to run into those annoying bits of rubbery cartilage or bone that ruin a good dumpling; everything is clean, fresh, and handmade daily. I'm actually drooling a bit just thinking about my last visit. Pro-Tips for Your Visit: * Timing is everything: Weekends are absolute chaos with lines out the door. If you can swing a weekday, do it--you'll walk right in. * The Waitlist: If there is a crowd, find the QR code near the entrance to jump in the digital queue. * Parking: It's all metered street parking. Make sure you have the Park White Plains app ready to go on your phone. * How to Order: The staff handles your drinks, but you'll use the QR code at your table to put in your food order. That said, the servers are still happy to answer questions if you're unsure about a dish. What to Order (and What to Skip) The Shrimp Noodle Crepe, Har Gaw, and both the Pork and Seafood Shui Mai are non-negotiables. I also highly recommend the Ham Sui Gok, Bean Curd Skin Roll, and the Steam Pork Buns. If you need some greens, the Chinese Broccoli is the way to go. One warning: Skip the soup dumplings. They're a bit small and lack that hit of broth you'd expect. If you're craving XLB, you're better off heading to Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao. Overall, Aberdeen is easily the best dim sum in Westchester and Fairfield counties. It's all about the flavor and texture here--the ambiance is an afterthought, and that's perfectly fine by me.

For anyone wondering about the name, it's pronounced "Me-uh Chah" (not "Mek-ah") and translates to "Mother and Father"--which feels fitting given how much more "soul" the food has lately. A few years back, I felt like they were missing the mark on the essentials, specifically the phở broth and the nước nắm. If you know Vietnamese food, you know those are the dealbreakers. The great news is they've clearly dialed in the recipes. I've been coming back regularly now because the flavors are finally hitting those traditional notes that are so hard to find in this part of Connecticut. My typical order: * Phở Gà (Chicken) * Phở Tái (Rare beef) * Phở Bò Viên (Beef meatballs) * Chả Giò (Fried spring rolls) -- Absolute must-order. They do have a lot of non-traditional stuff like Bao, Handrolls, and a solid Spicy Miso Ramen, and while those are actually very good, I usually stick to the Vietnamese classics since they're doing them so well now. The atmosphere is also worth mentioning. It has a really cool, organic vibe with tons of wood accents. The ceiling is covered in hundreds of 2x4s that hang down like a weeping willow canopy--it's unique and looks great in person. Pro-Tips: * Parking: Don't even bother trying to find a spot on Bedford Street; it's a nightmare. Park in the lot around the back and just use the pedestrian passage to walk through the building. * The App: If you're doing takeout, use their mobile app. It's a lifesaver on the weekends when the dining room gets slammed. So glad to have a reliable phở spot in downtown Stamford again!
