One of the only dim sum spots in Westchester that I've found so far and it didn't disappoint! It was authentic and delicious but the only thing that holds me back from going often would be the prices. They are definitely quite steep so it's a spot I would only come for special occasions. Other than that, I was overjoyed to finally have comforting and familiar dishes in this area where it's hard to find authentic Chinese food that isn't Chinese American takeout. They had great variety and delicious flavors in my opinion.

This visit was takeout at the request of our daughter, but it still reinforced why this spot has built such a strong reputation locally. Conveniently located next to the White Plains Marriott with access through the lobby, parking is manageable between street options and the nearby Barker Avenue lot. We ordered a wide assortment to share, including multiple dim sum selections, beef with broccoli, chicken with vegetables, Kung Po shrimp, and pork dumplings. The variety made for a well-rounded meal, with something for everyone. Portions were generous and easily fed the table without feeling like we needed more. The food consistently delivers, and it's easy to see why they've been recognized multiple times for their dim sum. Even as takeout, everything held up well and maintained its flavor and texture. Looking forward to dining in next time to get the full experience, but this remains a reliable go-to for quality dim sum in the area.

Pork soup dumplings

I love this place and it is always a treat. I have gone twice and this was my second time. I will definitely come more frequently. I order dim sum, so the pork soup dumplings, shumai chives dumplings and a wonton soup. So I loved the pork soup dumplings really good. The shumai was also really good and the chives dumplings had a whole shrimp in them. I loved all the items except the wonton soup. The wonton soup had a too much pepper and if it was not pepper it was a flavor, I have never had before. The soup was not bad just that particular flavor overwhelmed it. I would still order the soup because I like wonton soup but it is not the best I have had. The other items were really good and I do look forward to trying other items off the menu. My coworker liked her food a lot.

Pork buns, har gow, shrimp and chive dumplings and bean curd skin

I didn't love it. We didn't have a reservation and waited 40 minutes. There were a lot of people waiting in the lobby of the residence inn. I thought that was a good sign of a great meal worth waiting for. Sadly disappointed cuz it wasn't that good. Once we are seated, it took me a few minutes to realize we place our order online. Which is fine, just different than the usual paper and pencil style. I thought it was better this way, plus you can see how much the final bill will be, so I like this modern approach. I was surprised how quickly some of our dishes came out. The har gow shrimp dumplings tasted different than what I have been accustomed to the last 30 years of being a dim sum fan. The flavors of the shrimp dishes were slightly off. Not sure if their seafood wasn't fresh? I wish I knew what it was? I also got the shrimp and chive dumplings and it was super thick and gooey inside, not what I am used too. Again the flavor of the shrimp was a bit off??? And the chive filling mixed with rice flour was incredibly thick. The bean curd skin was absolutely delicious, super hot and perfectly balanced in flavor. I love how savory this dish is and it's one of my favorites. The roast pork buns were okay. They have never been a favorite but I was curious how they would taste here. Again it just didn't taste fresh for some reason. Im so used to hot freshly baked, and this wasn't that. The pork dumplings were absolutely delicious and fresh. They came out last though. We had to wait quite some time after we were done with the rest of dishes. The service was ok. When we asked about the dumplings. They said they were coming out shortly and we could see them walking out with pork dumplings for other tables and they kept passing us by. Finally when we asked one last time, they brought them out. The place was nothing special, old decor, needs some updating. I have become used to the newer dim sum restaurants with lots of seating and bigger spaces. Unfortunately it was not worth the wait. I've had way better dim sum. There were some dishes that went passed us that did look good and I am curious. I would try it one more time and order different dishes.

That golden entrance door... We've had better Chinese, but we like that this place is in the lobby of a hotel. Tables and chairs and dining area are reminiscent of a budget dining hall, and we also don't like that you absolutely MUST use a QR code to order. We like to unplug sometimes... Steamed pork dumplings had too much dough. Scallion/Shrimp fried dumpling was decent. My wife loved her won-ton soup, but it was $4.50 for a tiny bowl. May give another try.

The Basics: Aberdeen is a Chinese food restaurant which services dim sum in the White Plains area. It is located off of the lobby of a Residence Inn hotel. I have always enjoyed the dim sum at Aberdeen, and have experienced no wait times and great service during my visits. Things I like: All of the dim sum I have tried at Aberdeen has tasted fresh and delicious. Some of my favorite items I have tried are the Shrimp Dumplings, Steamed Roast Pork Buns, and the sweet Pineapple Buns. The service is quick, and you order your selections from a QR code at the table. Things I didn't like: Nothing. I have always enjoyed my visits to Aberdeen. Overall, great dim sum in the White Plains area!

Peking duck and Soup Dumplings.. (Xiaolongbao) very neat!!

The best Dim Sum I have had since being in DC at Tony Chens! It is in a weird spot and has a strange name but the food was great.

Another GREAT experience at Nana's Dim Sum…read more This place continues to impress every single time I visit. The restaurant was busy, Saturday afternoon, which honestly tells you everything you need to know. Even with a full house, the atmosphere was still relaxed and enjoyable. The combination of dim lighting, modern Asian-inspired decor, and classic R&B music, quietly playing throughout the restaurant created such a smooth vibe Our server Raymond was super polite, constantly smiling, patient, and gladly explained the ordering process without making us feel rushed. Great customer service really makes a difference and he delivered. Now the FOOD Everything came out beautifully presented and fresh: Edamame Firecrackers (imitation crab meat) Pan Fried Vegetable Dumplings Steamed Vegetable Dumplings Crystal Shrimp Dumplings Signature Bao Chicken Fried Rice Crab Rangoon made with REAL crab meat Jade Grape Lime Mocktail The Crystal Shrimp Dumplings were delicate and flavorful, the Signature Bao was excellent, and the Crab Rangoon with real crab meat was a major upgrade from the usual versions most restaurants serve. The sauce is banging! If there was one small thing I would request, it would simply be for the dumplings to come out steaming hot. They were still very good, but having them piping hot would take the experience completely over the top One thing others might appreciated was the extensive bar Plenty of mixed drink and liquor options if you're looking to enjoy cocktails with dinner. The entire experience came to about $150 with tip and honestly felt worth every dollar considering the food quality, service, atmosphere, and overall dining experience. Definitely one of the standout dining spots in Westchester County. Will absolutely be back for sure.

The service was dutiful if not quite good…read more Lighting was adequate sans phone light. The chairs are padded but were not overly comfy. Music was too loud not ear shattering but made hearing and being heard a little tough. The food was very good--north of a 4 and maybe almost half ways to a 5. Below is a quick sentence on each dish The pork buns were crispy on bottom and generously filled with pulled BBQ pork. Tasty. The chicken was super hot--not mild it made my eyes tear with and without the spicy mayo. The fried rice really had relatively few ingredients and was a tad mushy Hot and sour soup as well as edamame was cosmopolitan or hackneyed Green beans were seasoned and had just the perfect amount of spice Yeah...I'd come back.

It really helped that it was a Wednesday night though--this place does get busy. Great ambiance inside. They shout a Japanese greeting as you walk in. Pics included. We had some great meats, rice, and veggies. Only wish the bigger tables had two grills in them. One doesn't make sense. We couldn't all eat at a normal pace. We had the egg rolls this time around, crunch and superb. Hanger steak was new for us this time, excellent, would get again. Beef tongue--pretty good! Not bad.

So much so, I couldn't eat more than a few bites Moreover my complaints to my bartender/server fell on deaf ears...which reeks of poor management Gyu-Kaku may or may not be good for Japanese bbq but I caution folks while dining there, their ramen offerings should definitely be avoided at all costs
