Food is good. Prices are reasonable. Always have food ready quickly even at the busiest times.

Best Chinese takeout around the Town of Mt Pleasant, good prices and friendly service. What more can one ask for? yeh, no credit cards, that's OK. 3 out of 4 not bad. read more

Best takeout in the area. Food prepared to order quickly and very tasty. Only reason not a 5 star review is parking and you can only pay with cash. read more

Best and hottest Chinese takeout around..has been for years now...quick friendly service at the right price

1st time here got shrimp rolls and shrimp with broccoli it was really good. not greasy, shrimp roll crust not burnt. as close to perfect as it can be. thank you. a lot of people eating there - haven't had a chance too as of yet but clean. read more

The best take out Chinese in the area by far. Sucks it's cash only but it's worth the trip to the ATM. Consistent and delicious.

Great local spot. Good food and hard working staff. Cash only. Not a sit down place more takeout.

We have been loyal On's customers for at least 10 years and have never had anything but very good take out food or delivered hot and tasty! They are super friendly folks too. read more

We have ordered from them more them several times we like it. Very nice people on the phone the food is good "old School Chinese food." There ribs are addicting. read more

The best in the area! After 20 years in the area and trying all the others On's is our favorite Classic Chinese take out. Not a restaurant, but these is a table or two that you could scarf it down at if you have nowhere else to go. read more

Great options for takeout but not the best Chinese around. Not bad. You will have a good dinner, for sure.

Covid Service update - they continue to churn out the finest take out Chinese dishes while working under safety constraints during this challenging time. A business definitely worth supporting read more

If you're in the mood for some classic traditional Chinese takeout than you found the right place. Don't be discouraged by their appearance or customer service skills. From the fried rice to the general Tso chicken it's all very delicious. If it's Chinese food takeout night it's ON's!!!!! read more

Great food and ready very quickly. Lots of options around but this is my go to always.

Old school basic Chinese takeout. Prices are fair and portions generous. No it is not NYC Chinese food. It is a couple of cuts below a neighborhood Chinese in Manhattan, but reliable. But it is the only game in town. Eggdrop/wonton good. Wontons are admittedly too doughy but filling is fine. No you won't get soup dumplings here. Better off with chicken, pork, or beef dishes vs the seafood. They laughed at me when I once asked for Chinese broccoli, and said we don't sell it because Americans don't like Chinese broccoli. I get it. Service is brusque, but fast. The only other competition in the nabe are a couple of sushi places that also serve hot entrees, many of which are off of a Chinese restaurant menu. The economics of a dedicated Chinese restaurant have made it untenable to survive in Northern Westchester. Just not enough volume. On's is cash only and take out only in an unimproved space with very low overhead on a busy street in Pville, with no parking. read more

Let me start by saying that I usually love this restaurant. It reminds me of fast food Chinese food from New York City. Today I had the exact opposite experience. When I went to pick up my food today they handed me my "mild"General Tso's chicken. When I told them it was to have "rice" on the side. they must have heard "spice" on the side. Honest mistake. But then they refuse to remake the dish correctly and simply remixed it in a used wok after The owner argued with me for 5 minutes. Perfect example of when the customer is always right and the owner should know that. Beware of this place. read more

Great little Chinese takeout spot. Quick service. CASH ONLY. Perfect deal on general tso's chicken with rice and broccoli. Big servings too! Would recommend. 7.5/10 read more

BBQ boneless spare ribs are really good. The fried rice has flavor. Unlike other places where it is yellow or just has no flavor. Plus the egg rolls are really good. I miss the lunch buffet. read more

If I was going to give a review about the just the food the place would get 4 stars. However, there are somethings you need to be to be prepared for: 1) They DO NOT take credit cards and are a cash only business. 2) When you call in for an order be prepared for them to be rushed and abrupt. You'll leave wondering did they get it right. 3) When you arrive since they didn't take my name, I was a bit confused about how they would know it was me but mentioned what I ordered, and the lady picked up my order from the side. This where I found out about the credit card but luckily had cash in hand. The food is really good and reasonable with many choices, and it will give you that Chinatown vibe or Flushing feel once you walk into the place. They aren't going to win any hospitality or customer awards but at the end of the day the food was better than expected. read more

I've been jonesing Chinese food the last few days but being that we're in the middle of the Covid pandemic and being that there are way too many knuckdragging morons who think they can get it from eating Chinese food - EVERY Chinese food place I've driven by is closed - EXCEPT On's. First time here and I have to say that every dish we ordered was prepared differently than we're use to - not that they were bad, but different. The egg foo young came in a white sauce, we're use to a dark sauce...and the egg foo young was in the sause, usually the sauce is separate. The tofu home style was pretty good. They even asked if we wanted it firm or soft - I'm not use to being asked how the tofu should be prepared. The vegetable fried rice also tasted a little different. Almost has a smokey taste, which was quite good. The 5 stars is mainly for being hardy enough to be open during these difficult times. This place is a bit out of the way for me so I'm not sure I'd come during normal times but I won't hesitate to order again during the pandemic. read more

Such sweet owners, when I asked for extra fortune cookies they piled them on and literally made my kids' night! The food is great, fast and reliable. I'm so glad to have On's in town! The diet menu is a great way to control how much sauce you want to add to your choice and I love that they have brown rice too! read more

Great food and customer service they really hit home because they have always been there. And this for Lauren .S if you have a peanut allergy then you should ask so don't be an idiot and blame not them asshole. read more

Great value. Food is very good, portions generous. It's basically all take-out; there are a few small tables in the tiny area between the door & the counter. They don't take credit cards. When I call in my order, it's always ready promptly. Park on Cooley St. They charge less than some other places which serve similar food because their overhead is kept to a minimum. We enjoy many of their dishes- e.g., chicken with cashew nuts, sesame beef, lo mein. Quality seems consistent so I wouldn't worry about ordering a dish from them that you haven't tried before. Come here for the food, not the ambiance. This has been my go-to place for Chinese takeout for several years. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Rude and they cook their egg rolls with peanut oil with no mention of that anywhere. Sent me to the hospital with anaphylaxis over one bite. Never spending another dollar here. If you have a nut allergy, go somewhere else. read more

Tried for the first time tonight and the food was excellent. Sesame chicken was really good. Yes, it's cash only but it's worth it.

I called about 3 to see if they deliver. I was told they deliver if I order now. I asked if they would deliver later and was told no. Since I hadn't looked at the menu, I called back with my order. The prices are moderate, the portions are large. The food is bland; I like spicy, the wife doesn't, but even she thought it was bland. We were both up all night, msg? read more

I was looking to satisfy our Chinese take-out craving but our favorite local place closed...for good. We absolutely loved them and searched the internet for something comparable. I guess we have high expectations. This was NOTHING to brag about. The egg rolls were greasy and overly fried... the steamed dumplings were all dough and nothing like the smooth little pockets of tasty meat...I requested steamed chicken and eggplant and I was told they can't accommodate because eggplant takes too long to cook-even though I have always had it steamed regardless of where I went. My husband said his fried rice was OK and the lo mein was OK as well but not great. I read that this is the best place in town. I am sorry, Pleasantville. Also be sure to pack cash as they do not take cards. At least I can say we tried it. read more

A+ great food great service best Chinese food in Westchester. Recommend to everyone best around

Best Chinese takeout. I just put an order in, ask how long for pick up and they just said "come now". Food is fast and delicious. It's a good greasy. When I walked in they knew what my order was before I could even speak. They even threw in a few sodas for free. I liked the egg rolls, pork dumplings, Beef lo mein and pork fried rice. read more

Was craving Chinese food and decided to give this place a try and was very disappointed. Half the order was wrong, food was cold and tasted stale, and staff was not friendly when we asked for the sauce included in the order. This is also a cash only business which was not mentioned until we showed up for pickup. Will not be returning! read more

We checked out this place for the first time recently and thought it was a great option for the area. Efficient, clean, with decent portions. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the mood for some hole in the wall, NY style Chinese food. read more

Like a good friend, On's has been helping me get over the heartbreak that was Magic Wok after Alice's departure. They swooped in like a culinary super hero! The classics here are well done and it's fun to see them work too. Sesame beef, chicken & broccoli, everything is good. Love you, On's. Thanks for being much, much more than a rebound. *munches egg roll* read more

When you eat at On's, you have to know what you're getting yourself into. You can't expect exquisite cuisine. You can't expect non-greasy, healthy food. You can't expect to know exactly what's in the food. And you can't expect to not have heart burn and a little tummy ache later. However, with the full knowledge in mind that On's is a quick and dirty takeout place with that quick and dirty takeout taste that you know you love but you're afraid to admit, you can truly enjoy what On's has to offer. It's cheap, the restaurant seems a little bit dirty, but the food tastes so good. The woman who works behind the counter is SUPER nice - if my change is supposed to be 97¢ she'll usually give me a $1. If I ordered a lot of food, she'll give me free drinks or throw other freebies in there. And the food tastes great, as long as you recognize it's more akin to quick takeout/buffet taste. Definite recommendations: Steamed pork dumplings, sesame chicken (especially the Sesame Chicken combo with fried rice for $7.50 last I checked), pork lo mein, and barbecue spare ribs. Not as great: Cold noodles with sesame sauce. read more

On's is one of those typical little Chinese food "restaurants" you can find all over the place. It is small and kind of dirty, but a lot of people eat there often. The service is good and very fast. The cashier there is probably one of the fastest women I've ever seen in my life. She can count change and take orders at the speed of light. I am not over-exaggerating. The food is good for the price, especially the buffet. I highly recommend delivery, especially rather than ordering in. Also, you may need to help get the delivery man's truck out of your muddy lawn during a rainstorm- but it's worth it. read more

Best damn Chinese take out restaurant I've EVER been to. I've been al over this country, I've had traditional Chinese food, all degrees of Americanized Chinese food, and fusions. Ons has the best. They are very fast, like very very fast, if you have the chance to go in, watch how fast the woman who works there counts change. - OMG The prices are great, the only thing, and it's more of a slight inconvenience, is the dreaded CASH ONLY. (And Pace University meal cards) read more

Every once in a while I get a craving for what I call "dirty chinese" food. This place was good for lunch special take out, decent flavor, nothing mind blowing. Food was ready within 10, and they give you a good amount of food for the $6 price tag of the lunch special read more

It's the local Chinese place in town and it's very decently priced, especially for Westchester. The portions are big and it always fills me up. The flavor of their sauces are just delicious. The service is usually extremely quick. The one negative comment I have is that there tends to be excessive oil in the dishes more times than not. read more

On's Chinese Kitchen - Shrimp w. broccoli with garlic sauce and shrimp egg roll - Chinese Near Me - Pleasantville, New York

no frill take out. they only take cash. excellent alternative when you are in a rush and need simple food

I've lived in a number of towns in westchester and tried at least a dozen Chinese restaurants and On's in Pleasantville is by and large one of the best for the price. The only criticism i have is that that they don't have crispy beef on the menu. Otherwise, week worth a try. read more
