In town on business wanted some takeout. This is just a takeout place (No tables). Food was okay at best.

People kept telling us about how great this place is. Tried going on a Saturday without…read morereservations. Wait time was too long. Finally got here on a Thursday at 6:00 pm. Seated at a table and brought menus and water glasses right away. Our waiter Mark asked us for a drink order. We ordered appetizers right away. Pineapple pork fried rice, pan fried dumplings and soup dumplings. My son in law and I asked for WonTon soup. The sauce with the dumplings was over the top. We also ordered shredded pork with bamboo and shredded duck in a sweet bean sauce with buns. I never had these type bins before. Try them snd let me know what you think. I really liked them . Mark was an outstanding waiter. Kept coming by to see if we needed anything. It was pretty quiet even though there were a fair amount of tables and booths in use. Definitely my new favorite Chinese restaurant . We will be back. Sal E. New Rochelle

So... we traveled 1200 miles to have wonderful Chinese Food. The Aberdeen, located off the lobby…read moreof the White Plains Residence Inn, is known for its dim sum - which is excellent. However, the rest of the broad and deep menu is excellent as well. The rich Sweet Corn Chicken Soup is sweet, thick (but not gummy) and quite tasty. The pan fried dumplings were outstanding. They were perfectly cooked and well stuffed with minced pork and veggies. The Honey Walnut Shrimp were amazing - plump and perfectly dressed. Finally, the Sesame Chicken was amazing. Perfectly cooked but the best thing is that the chicken was moist, rich and flavorful. So, if we're ever back in White Plains, you know where we'll be dining.

After hearing so many positive things about Aberdeen Seafood & Dim Sum, I was expecting a standout…read moremeal, but I left disappointed. The food wasn't bad--it was simply mediocre and underwhelming. The biggest issue was that several dishes were underseasoned and lacked the bold flavors I expect from a good Cantonese restaurant. The Yang Chow fried rice was especially bland and needed more seasoning. The har gow and several of the dim sum items also fell short of expectations. The steamed spare ribs and beef chow fun were okay but nothing memorable. The salt and pepper shrimp was probably the highlight of the meal, but it wasn't unique or better than what I've had at many other Chinese restaurants. Overall, the food was decent, but considering the restaurant's reputation, I expected much more. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't make a special trip back.
