Chicken lo mein, boneless pork ribs.
David D.

Bottom line - Fong Xing is now my "go to" Chinese Take Out location! I've given up on the choices in my town and when an opportunity presented itself recently, I decided to take the plunge and try this shop in Ardsley. Moving cautiously, I ordered the General Tso's chicken, the steamed pork dumplings and the Hot and Sour soup. These in my mind would give me a fair first assessment of an unknown location. All three were very good (maybe even excellent?). The soup was flavorful without being too tart and dense with the appropriate vegetables. The dumplings were tender (as opposed to doughy or chewy) with flavorful filling. The General Tso's was outstanding! The chicken pieces were well sized, the fried coating not overly heavy, the sauce sweet and a bit spicy. The accompanying white rice and broccoli completed the dish. Hey, I liked thus so much that I returned for a lunch special the next day! Boneless spare ribs. ith pork fried rice and egg drop soup. Another three "hits"! I'm sure I'll be back before long! Came back June 5, 2020 - Coronavirus pandemic is raging, best managed in New York State! Restaurants (and everything) are closed. Take out service only. Ordered too much food (as we usually do), sesame chicken, boneless ribs, roast pork, lo mein. All delicious, generously portioned and well prepared. We'll roast pork. definitely be back.

Chicken chop suey

This place had some low ratings, but I decided to give it a try because there were only a handful of reviews and it was the only place open on 4th of July weekend. Their wonton soup was relatively tasty, nicely salted and good wontons. Their chop suey was standard, but I'm always extra apprehensive about ordering it as I find places don't wash their vegetables very well amd I somehow always find a tiny gnat of sorts in mine. Ugh. Their vegetable dumplings were OK. I liked the fluffy wrappers but the filling was definitely flat and may have only been filled with cabbage. We didn't try too many items, but I knew we needed to contribute a review and some pics because very little is known about this tucked away Chinese restaurant. It's standard Chinese American takeout and if that's what you want, this place fits the bill. It could definitely use a thorough deep cleaning as corners were pretty filthy and boxes filled every cabinet or top of fridge up to the wall. Thankfully I didn't really analyze the behind the scenes operations as they seemed to have installed plexiglass to pretect from covid. They also set up a boxed window system (think drive through bank tellers) to pick up food and make payments. I felt like while this protected them, it gave the patron more items to touch. Oh well.

4 shrimp for a shrimp and broccoli. Watery sauce and didn't even bother filling the container with broccoli. Wouldn't recommend.

Quite simply the worst. Worst taste, worst presentation, worst texture, worst lifelong experience of eating Chinese food.

The standouts were definitely the Char Siu Berkshire Pork Belly, Kung Pao Chicken Wings, and the Dragon Apple Rangoon for dessert -- those were easily the best things we ordered. The Dragon Apple Rangoon with apple cider caramel and vanilla ice cream was SO good. Next up for me would be the Crab Rangoon Scallion Pancake and the dumplings. They were good, but nothing that completely blew me away. The Crab Rice was probably my least favorite dish of the night. The drinks, however, were GREAT, and the complimentary champagne was such a nice touch. Our waiter Chuy was also very nice and made the experience better. Overall, the service, drinks, and atmosphere were enjoyable, and there were definitely a few dishes I loved, but for all the hype surrounding Goosefeather, I expected the food to wow me a lot more. I'm glad I tried it, but overall it was just mid for me.

The service was excellent, with not only our waiter helping, but food runners and bussers assisting as well. And the food was delicious! The soup dumplings were delicious- I think I could just eat a big serving of those. My seafood hotpot was full of wonderful shrimp, scallops and much more, all very tasty. They said it would be "spicy", but it really wasn't very, so if you don't like extremely spicy food, you'll be ok (But maybe ask them for it to be a little spicer than normal if you do like very spicy food). I would recommend a visit ASAP! Don't wait for years like I did. I missed out!

After that it was down hill. I found the beef sticks that people rave about overcooked, and so hard they could not be chewed. The sauce was also a turn off because the beef sticks were gratuitously over sweet. I literally tried to take one bite and gave up. I brought the container of beef sticks that I had been served, up to the counter. I explained about them.being overlooked, hard and not being able to chew them and the staff looked at me in disbelief. Nevertheless, they were gracious and offered to remake it. I said no thank you, and they asked if I wanted anything else instead, I was delighted for this offer. I requested another order of the utterly delicious sesame noodles, and they very kindly accomodated me. I also had the Thai fried rice, which was also something customers who wrote reviews raved about. For me the dish was a complete fail. There were a few delicious shrimp on top and mixed in, which I ate thinking that the dish was very promising. After that it was a treasure hunt. The rice was so dry and anything else in the container was tasteless, but I was super hungry. So I searched for the itsy bitsy pieces of pineapple and for the peas and some little pieces of chicken. All the vegetables were cut so small that you really couldn't taste them, except the peas. Even the pineapple was so so small it failed to flavor the dish. I would say after eating the few shrimp and picking out the pineapple and peas that 90% of the food remained in the container. They offered me a top for the container so I could take it home, but I declined, and I quietly l tossed it out when I left. It was just so dry and tasteless I didn't think that anything I might do to it at home to try to give it some taste, would make any difference. I don't recommend the food based on what I had except for the sole exception of the extraordinarily good sesame noodles.
