Not happy with wonton soup. Few wontons and no flavor. Just yellow hot water. Pork egg foo yung overcooked and black. No chicken but lots of vegetables in the garlic chicken. Pork fried rice bland. Employees are great and friendly and the Chinese food is solid, especially their homemade steamed dumplings.

This has been our favorite and regular place to pick up chinese take out. The food is consistent and you can customize your food. You want food spicier, ask for it, you want softer broccoli, less oil, more sauce, just all i ask. They've been able to accommodate all my requests. Our family favorite is chicken and broccoli. Other great items are the bbq ribs, buddhist delight, lo mein, moo shu chicken, chicken wings, wonton and hot and sour soup. Can you tell we take out from here a lot? The owners are super friendly and always remember me and my kids. Even during covid, she asks after them and tosses them fortune cookies. Some nights they are super busy, but they are always upfront about the delay and are a great local business. Ordered for the first time we had the following: BBQ spare ribs... they were average Pork fried dumplings... they were good Pepper steak with two dollars extra beef ...NO Flavor... I'm not sure how this could be but there was no flavor to this dish very bland. Chicken and broccoli...NO flavor at all very very bland.. We finished the dumplings and the spareribs but ended up throwing out the main entrées. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews... definitely will not be ordering takeout here again. read more

I really like Hunan Village down in Hartsdale for their formal sit down vibe, Lychee cocktails and menu selections. But as long as I've being in North White Plains, searched high and low for that "Chinese Take Out" feel- that I knew so well from living in The Bronx. You know which ones I'm talking about: Formica counter, huge back-to-back menu with 'Pt' and 'Qt' sizes and that open kitchen with woks. It was the right time to branch out and place an order for pick-up pre-snowstorm. I almost always judge a Chinese restaurant by how they cook their broccoli. So all bets were off. Liked the Chinese lantern welcoming you to King. No sit down. Big counter, decent kitchen and clean with a Bamboo plant adding a fresh feel. China King may have looked like that typical 'Take Out' spot, but they got their own thing going with more Lanterns inside and a colorful take to them. Tanya (spelling?) handled the woks with speed, cooked the food and I was heading home with an order of Plain Broccoli, Vegetable Fried Rice and a few other things for The Man in no time. My Broccoli turned out to be very good as well as the Veggie Fried Rice- and sure the rest of their menu will be very good also. Hunan is good and we'll still visit. But let's be honest, it'll dent your pocket a bit. Prices here? Puhlease... definitely much better. read more

Run of the mill american chinese affair. Pretty decent food overall. But it's not the authentic chinese you can find in china town in the city. It's basically the McDonalds of chinese food. I really want to give this a 0 . I just witnessed one of the cashiers having lunch and drinking from the containers they put the soup into. I don't care if you rinse out the container - there is NO reason why she put that container back with the others and then used it to pour someone's soup into to serve it to a customer. So far, I have ordered from China King twice and I've gotta say you can't beat those Lunch Special prices man! Their lunch special is $6.75 everyday until 4pm. Each entree includes rice (white, brown, or fried) and a side of egg roll/spring roll/soup. Honestly, one lunch special is enough for two meals. It's a good amount of food! The first time I ordered the chicken chow mein combination and the Singapore mei fun (Singapore noodles). Both were more authentic dishes and I was pretty pleased with how they turned out.I loved the char siu pork in the Singapore noodles and the shrimp! It is marked with a chill pepper by the menu but I would say its pretty mild. I ordered this through Doordash and it took about an hour which was the estimated time. The second time I ordered, I got the General Tso's Chicken, which is a dish I always order when I want fast Chinese Take Out. Again, not really spicy, even though it has a pepper denotation on the menu but still pretty good. I ordered on the phone and delivery took about 30 minutes which was pretty quick. The woman who took my order was very nice. Pretty happy with everything I've ordered so far. You will definitely see me ordering from here when I'm too lazy to cook. read more

The owners work there everyday and during Covid, remained open (with all the precautions) to continue to serve their community.
