Ordered: Sesame Chicken with White Rice Tried and Liked: General Tsos, Singapore Mei Fun, Sweet and Sour Chicken, House Special Lo Mein, and others ++++++++ Order fairly regularly from them and they haven't disappointed me. Their chicken is fresh, the sauces they cook with, like the General Tsos, are made in the restaurant (seen it in person a few times while waiting for the my meal). Their dumplings and Rangoon are also made in-house. It's a takeout place, so there's not a lot of seats, but delivery is fast, so that's not a problem for me. It's a nice, small place with a friendly owner that remembers my recent orders. Definitely recommend if you're in Elmsford, White Plains, Greenburgh, Valhalla, or Tarrytown. read more

Well... I really wanted to like this place. The food was good, service was fast and friendly. I got to the bottom of my Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice only to find a thick, black curly hair staring me in the eyes. Interestingly enough, I had just read the review from a few months back of a customer who found the same in the bottom of his food, after consuming nearly all - just like me. :( I brushed it off thinking it was just one of those "accidents" while driving to the restaurant to pick up my food. I was dying for Chinese food and the reviews were good so I trusted that the food was good. However, I got the sesame chicken combination platter and it was not the greatest. The chicken didn't taste like sesame chicken and the rice was soggy and barely filled up the half of the container, like the food wasn't just freshly made. The pint for the lo mein is way over priced for the amount they give you. I got the combination platter, the pint of lo mein, and 2 egg rolls for a total of $20 bucks. Eating my China King take out as I write this. Ordered steamed chicken and vegetables and an order of boneless spare ribs. Steamed chicken and veggies was exactly what I needed. Sauce on the side just as I asked and I'm a very happy camper. Boneless spare ribs weren't as well cooked as I like them (I like them like jerky pieces)... not their fault at all. Total disappointment. Our normal place didn't have a delivery person so we tried this place. Ordered egg foo young with fried rice and they gave me brown rice that didn't taste fried. The egg rolls we very doughy and the dumplings were not very appetizing. read more

The half fried chicken is the best fried chicken around. The lady who runs the place is so nice too. I am purely rating the chicken though. I like the dumpings. A lot of the dishes seem too american for me... it is comfort food I think they might be able to do more authentic stuff but their might be a language barrier.... The egg roll that came with the lunch special was just okay. Relatively crispy and freshly fried, but the filling is not that flavorful. General Tso chicken was a bit soggy but very good flavor, a big hit of acid mellowed out by the sugar with background notes of chiles and garlic. Overall we left pretty happy. read more

I was in need of a new go-to Chinese takeout place and decided to try China King based on the reviews I had read here. I walked in on a Friday after work during a snowstorm. Apparently the entire county was hankering for Chinese food as I stood there and watched the woman at the counter take orders, often times on two calls at once. The fact that there were so many orders was encouraging. It must mean the food is outstanding. Well I ordered and waited. And waited. Others came in after me and left with their food. They appeared to be regulars so maybe that rated quicker service. But I continued to wait. A full 45 minutes later I finally get my food. The food was better than what I've had from another local place (Peking House in Elmsford). And the woman though frazzled was very pleasant and apologetic about the long wait. I however have to give only 3 stars because though the food was good, the wait was ridiculously long and defeats the purpose of take out. I could've had a sit down dinner in that same time frame! I will give it a couple more tries and hope that my first experience was an anomaly. read more
