We ordered the following: -pork gyoza: very good -shrimp shumai: very good -spicy wontons: just okay -eggrolls: not good -ribs: good -general tso's chicken: very good -sesame chicken: very good -chicken and broccoli: just ok, not a lot of chicken -beef udon: very good Maybe the food is better when you dine in or get sushi, but I probably wouldn't take out Chinese food again. read more

Food is FANTASTIC, most especially anything with Shrimp: Coconut Spring Rolls, Shrimp Pad Thai, Shrimp with Vegetables. Chicken with Mango Sauce is another standout, as are the Soups. Ambiance is non-existent! (Years ago we used to go to the original Armonk location which was Gorgeous!). Service, by the OWNER, is very nice & friendly. Watching Sushi being prepared by two skilled young men from your table could be entertaining until you realize that their gloved hands are constantly handling their cell phones while also handling the food! (Aside - BIG turnoff for me to see paid workers in ANY business using their cell phones for personal business while working.) read more

This was an urgent stop, first to pick up lunch and second to use their restroom! Very clean restrooms, indeed! I ordered a chicken bento box to go. While I waited I got to enjoy the beautiful cultural decor and music. The kind man who took my order checked in with me to let me know my order would be out shortly. Sure enough I had my bento box which all was so fresh and delicious! It was a great sized portion of salad, California roll, dumplings, chicken, vegetables and rice. Great spot! I am new to the area so in google maps I typed in Chinese food and it showed me what was on my way home. There were two, the first place told me 1hr wait, so I called Made in Asia with hopes it's less wait. The man that took my order was polite, gave me the option to pay over the phone or in person at pick up. The restaurant is located in a small plaza, very cute. The inside is modern with Japanese decor, and for the record they do serve sushi as well. Today we ordered Chinese dishes and they were delicious, next time I will try the Japanese menu. The owner was inside when I picked up, she was sweet in welcoming me not only to the restaurant but also to the area. She told me about different FB pages to join and other attractions in the area. Highly recommended. Updated review: 8/2019 Am not in the mood for sashimi today and tried the Beef with Hunan Black Bean Sauce. Oh my goodness, it was delicious and with the right spiciness. Service , as usual, is excellent . My hubby said that the beef with string beans has the same kick/spiciness if you want your beef with some veggies. So there's my tip for you , my dear co-yelpers. My husband and I had a craving for a a Bento Box for lunch. Not many restaurants are offering their lunch menu for delivery/pick up. We are out of their local area so I set up a curbside pick up for 12:30pm. I ordered a chicken teriyaki for my husband and a grilled shrimp box on their website, very easy to do. It offered choices in selecting soup and rice. The only thing missing, that other restaurants include, in their B (lunch) was the salad. I really did miss it. The price was quite reasonable for the amount of food. It comes with soup, shumai appetizer, California roll, rice options, and the protein comes with broccoli and carrots. Pick was very easy, they brought it out to the car and placed it on the floor in my back seat. I never had to touch it until we got home! Everything was warm and delicious! The reason for 3 stars is not based on the quality of food but because of how the gentleman was handling the take out orders. Great hole in the wall spot located in Armonk, NY just off route 22. The hospitality that was provided from the staff made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in. I placed an order for takeout and the server insisted I sit down and take a break. He can tell I'd been on a roof all day. I washed up in very clean bathrooms that are tended to, often. Upon leaving the rest room I was offered an ice cold glass of water , which was super necessary, and an extremely kind gesture from the staff as I was not expecting to stay long because it was a take out meal. Simple gestures, like so, go a longgg way, especially when you're tending to a paying patron. One also important habit I've picked up when eating sushi is the smell once you walk in the restaurant. If I never looked at the menu, I would've never been able to tell that they serve raw fish. The place was super clean, super friendly and super delicious. I ordered the crystal roll which was different because of its lack of rice. I was not paying attention when I ordered as it is made with rice paper. This was my fault. It was still pretty good though! The coconut shrimp were also very good but pricey. All in all. A great experience on a dreadfully hot day. read more

So FANTASTIC!!! We were looking for a place for a quick meal on our way to white plains airport. This was right of the highway in a cute building. The food was all delicious and the service was warm and friendly. When we told our server that we had a flight to catch, he said no problem and it was indeed no problem. We ordered the Armonk Roll and Doc Fragner Roll, Szechuan Ma La, Vietnamese Lemongrass, XO Sautéed Udon Noodles, and Bangkok Fried Rice. Everything was satisfying, and that's because we were really hungry. I didn't think the food was awesome, but I did really like the Doc Fragner Roll; I've never had sushi with fried oysters before. And the Szechuan Ma La I ordered with beef was pretty flavorful. The food is pretty pricey for the amount you get, and much pricier than most Asian restaurants I've been to. We (my family) have been coming to Made in Asia since it first opened it its old location. The quality remains consistent and the owners are lovely! The menu has not changed much over the years but they are happy to meet requests for simple menu changes (Ie. no mackerel please). They make the BEST hot and sour soup! I have not found it matched anywhere else (and I have tried a bunch)! They also don't charge for spicy mayo or panko which is nice as most other sushi restaurants will charge for these extras. Additionally, free green tea! This has been a staple in our "eating out" line-up and will continue to be one! Tonight, we all had the hot and sour soup to start. I then had a spicy maki combo with brown rice. My mom enjoyed a "sashimi Grace," which is 23 pieces of sashimi (and she made the request for no mackerel). And my father enjoyed the tri-color sashimi. Awesome sushi/Asian place! They have a large menu and have tons of main dishes as well as a plethora of sushi options. When I visited MIA I ordered the pad thai based on a recommendation and a spicy tuna avocado roll with crunch. The pad thai did not disappoint. The dish was huge and full of flavor. The spicy tuna roll was extremely good as well, so good I ended up ordering another one 5 minutes before closing! I will definitely return! read more

Underrated but definitely the best sushi in Armonk. The rolls are big, reasonably priced, and super tasty -- highly recommend the spicy tuna roll, sweet potato roll, cucumber avocado roll and veggie roll (they add a slight secret sauce and it is amazing). This is the first review I've written in years and I had to because this place was so good! My husband and I ate at two highly regarded Japanese restaurants in Manhattan earlier in the week but his is the one that prompted him to say "this reminds me of that time when we were in Kyoto". His tempura was that good! I had a really tasty tom yum soup with fresh mushrooms, sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes, and perfectly seasoned, pipping hot broth. I had the Szechuan beef too - very good. Sweet like American Chinese food, not Chinese Chinese food but it had incredible wok breath with lots of flavor and wonderful texture. While I did not dine here, I had a pleasant experience recently when my child needed to use the bathroom after a long car trip. Despite the sign in the window indicating that the bathrooms are for customers only, the staff was empathetic and understanding, welcoming us into their establishment.
