The food was stale. Some food was overcooked, and the vegetables had a metallic taste. The egg rolls seemed old and were under filled etc.

Chicken w. Broccoli and Wonton Egg Drop soup were bland. Egg Roll was tasty, but a bit oily and smaller than I expected.

I always come here for the chicken wings. The chicken wings are amazing! They're always crispy and have the perfect amount of seasoning.

To start, we shared the crispy brussel sprouts Charleston style. These were delicious with the tangy sauce and large flakes of parmesan cheese. For my main, I had the brunch wrap. It comes with chips, but I swapped for fries for an additional charge. The wrap was a good size; I had half and saved the rest for leftovers. It was tasty, but not a ton of flavor. The tater tots were nice and crispy and I enjoyed the fresh tomatoes and avocado. They gave me a huge portion of crinkle cut fries, which also would've been great with a little more seasoning, but they were good when dipped in mayo. My husband got the shrimp and grits and appreciated the large portion size as well. I had a lemonade to drink. It was refreshing since it wasn't overly sweet. Service was great. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Aesthetically, each table feels like a meal at a family dinner table; it's clear that they wanted that vibe to be translated, and it's done quite well. This is also supported by the service being very friendly and helpful in general. To eat, I had the French toast burger with sweet potato fries. Some others with me had various sides like regular fries and tater tots, and the same thing was present on them that tends not to be at most places: they were all perfectly salted/seasoned. It might seem immaterial, but it's a very good signal when something that simple--yet often neglected in favor of just using condiments to mask it--is executed well. If you're a burger place with fries that taste great without the need for a sauce or condiment, you're doing something right. The French toast burger was likewise fantastic, combining sweet and savory in a great way. To drink, we all got a communal pitcher of the only frozie they had available at the time: a kind of jungle juice vodka slushie. It, too, was great--worthy of multiple rounds. All in all, here's a place that I can't wait to give another visit.

Estelle did not have anything prepared ahead of time and was 15 minutes late. The assistant who was there to greet us seemed unhappy and annoyed that we were there and did not let us know Estelle was running late. When Estelle started the class there was no greeting or introduction and no instruction as to what the girls would be doing. She split the girls into two tables but the assistants were not able to give instructions so each table had to wait while Estelle worked with the other table. One of the assistants just kept rolling her eyes at the girls and repeating "I'm not the chef" and pointing to Estelle and saying to listen but there was no way for them to listen to the instruction because she was demonstrating with her back to them at the other table. So most of the time the girls were just sitting around waiting for instructions. When my co-leader tried to step in and help give instruction Estelle was extremely rude to her, and in front of the kids! The kids barely got to do any cooking. They basically just measured some ingredients into bowls and poured them into cupcake tins. These girls were between 9-14 years old and they have all been doing that since they were 3 and 4 years old. We thought they would be learning more than prepping ingredients and stirring ingredients around. When we asked if the girls would be doing any of the actual cooking Estelle told us she couldn't have them working with the hot oven. I asked my girls when we got home what they thought and they said it was boring and they didn't get to do any cooking, that Estelle did everything for them. The pictures of the shop online look nothing like what it actually looks like in person, which was very run down with stuff piled everywhere, no pastries in the cases, some dead plants in the window and very dirty. The fact that Estelle charged us $900, which is money the girls made themselves selling cookies, felt like a huge scam. I'm so bummed we wasted their hard earned money and our time at Estelle Gourmet.

Overall, good food at a reasonable price with busy but helpful servers!…read more Shrimp and pork shumai 7.5/10 warm and a lovely m pork flavor, great texture with the thin dumpling skin. These were a great recommendation from one of my waiters, and my only complaint is I wish the dipping sauce had black vinegar or a bit of a stronger flavor, it was sweet and a bit bland and I think it could have added more complexity to the pork and shrimp instead of muting it. Scallion pancakes 6.5/10 they were shatteringly crisp and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside, texturally were delightful and exactly what I hoped for from the photos on the menu, and it was a good portion size, but there was about three flecks of scallion per pancake piece--very faint scallion flavor, almost indetectable, so they were fairly bland. Stir fry with handmade noodles and chicken 6.5/10 the noodles were thick and chewy, they actually blended in well with the chicken visually haha! the sauce was nicely thick to hold up to the noodles and the dish felt simple but carefully made with the the thin slices of chicken (half of which were perfectly cooked and half of which were just a little tough), with a scattering of bell peppers that still had a little crunch, a pleasant contrast to the other soft textures, and a bit of green onion--if I tried this again, I would ask for extra vegetables. I'm glad I tried this dish, but next time would try another item on their menu or maybe just get two dumplings orders... Beyond the food, the waiters were quick to respond when I asked for water or a to go container and they offered helpful recommendations, while clearly busy with takeout and in-restaurant customers. The atmosphere was casual with some wooden lattice work that added character and music that brought me back about a decade or two haha, it wasn't a huge space but it didn't feel crowded with warm lighting and dark wood.

Everything was fresh and looked appetizing. There is a station right when you enter with gloves for you to wear while you use the utensils to select your pickings from the hot and cold bar. The cold food was great, I really enjoyed the fresh mozzarella and the guacamole. The hot food was a bit overwhelming with all the different options. The chili was good. The fresh sautéed spinach was also very good. The meat options felt lack luster. They were mostly overcooked and didnt do anything for me. The sauces on the proteins were all tasty-- I'd prefer the vegetables and simple proteins which you can definitely find. You can find almost anything in this place! I am really interested in ordering a custom sandwich or flatbread at one of the counters I saw. Checking out, I thought it was alittle expensive for what I got BUT I think you can make it cheaper once you become experienced in knowing what you like/want. The workers were super nice and friendly. They checked in on us to make sure we didn't have any issues ordering. The ordering site though was such a pain. I couldn't tell if items that I wanted were checked off and instead of being able to edit them once added to the cart, the item would have to be deleted and done over again. We were more frustrated with the website than anything. Food came out at a reasonable time. We were a party of 5. They have bells to ring as a thank you to the wait staff. Inside was pretty packed with people. They have an order option for to go orders. I LOVED the food. The combination of Jamaican meets Asian fusion was on point. The ox tail bao buns were so amazing and didn't disappoint. The combo of the sauce, ox tail, and sweet plantains were worth every penny. I ordered the curry chicken ramen and the mix of the curry with the pork soup option was delicious. We also had the jerk chicken ramen. Warning if you don't like spice, the jerk chicken does come with a kick so if you order spice level for your bowl, it'll add a level of added spice to it. The mushrooms in this bowl were so good and perfectly cooked!! I will definitely be hitting this spot up again. Place would've received a 5 if it wasn't for the ordering system.
