Let me start by saying I hate giving poor reviews..it's so much more fun to say positive and enjoyable things. But I owe it to this platform to be honest as I use and trust it's reviews. I was excited to try this place. We walked in, sat at the bar and immediately realized that I've reviewed this place before..this was the BBQ place that I tried last year ( and it was not very good ) I was not surprised that the BBQ closed but didn't realize they simply re branded and shifted to Thai food..ok, no problem..I'm all about second chances!! Let's start with decor..remember I said the second I sat down, I remembered being here? That's because the inside is exactly thee same..they did nothing to the inside to suggest that it's a Thai restaurant..from the electric guitar on the wall to the " outhouse " sign above the bathroom ( written in old west saloon style font )..what a missed opportunity..even the absolutely beautiful logo that appears on a small sign outside, never makes another appearance inside. There is 0 branding or identity inside. The servers were very nice. The food was was about as good as decent Chinese takeout. The staff checked on us often which was nice..but the owner who was wearing shorts and tee shirt, sitting at the bar, drinking beer with the chef and watching soccer, didn't check on us once..and only got up once to go into the back and walk a German Shepherd through the restaurant and out the front door. ( maybe he's a service dog..but I did not see a vest or patches to suggest so ). I also thought it was odd that I had to ask for water ( especially in a Thai spot that claims to use generous spices ), however I believe it was intentional as it smelled off and was undrinkable..possibly mold in the ice well. Anyway, I wish them the best..but I will not be returning again.

Absolutely incredible experience at Thaimless! The food is great, especially if you like spice. The service, the ambiance are incredible.

The short ribs were fatty grisly and tough. The spring rolls were skimpy and tasted like BJ frozen.

Stir fried rice with tofu is probably our favorite, though the green curry with tofu has the right spice oooompffff to satisfy.

The ambiance is very modern and colorful, with brightly colored walls and murals and really nice family photos and thai decorations up making it authentically thai-american. My favorite dishes here are the guay chai appetizers-- which are fried, deeply savory and chewy-- and their pad see ew which has a umami, wok hei flavor and a silky texture on the rice noodles. My only note is that sometimes the rice noodles come pretty broken up in pieces from the stir fry. Their red curry and pad Thai are also great, very flavorful with a fair portion. I appreciate how now they give you a spice rack to self-customize your spice level instead of relying on the kitchen. I only recently realized how GOOD their drinks are too. By far the best matcha lattes in Putnam county, as a matcha lover I like how you can really taste the matcha rather than just the milk. Their cocktails during golden hour are also amazing, and extremely creative. They also host events like trivia nights and open mics that I would love to attend one day. Thai golden has really set themselves up to be a wonderful hangout spot, and a nice third space to be a part of the community in. Great food, drinks, and vibes all around.

Thai culinary is difficult to master unless you were raised to cook since you were 5 years old. The ambience of the restaurant is cute and casual. It great for a friend and family gatherings. They are fatty, soggy, and appear to not be of the chicken species. They're wildly unpalatable. I've also had the fried pork belly from takeout. On one occasion, it was very good. On another occasion it was as if the frier ran out of oil so they used water to make up for the missing oil. Absolute disgusting and will never order from here again. The place is well patronized as if the fine in experience is drastically different- which I assume it is because some nights the parking lot is full. However, I will never dine here again due to the level of disgust I have for the food is personal at this point. As if the establishment goes out its way to disappoint me at a fundamental level.

Catch up with friends or enjoy a lowkey dinner without feeling rushed or overly formal Also love that this spot is BYOB. I paired my meal with a Thai iced tea -- flavorful and refreshing, just not overly sweet (which some people might actually prefer). Appetizers: The curry puffs were delicious -- flaky, flavorful, but I definitely wished there were more than three. Chicken satay was well executed, but the honey ribs completely stole the spotlight. Super tender, flavorful, and easily the must-order on the starter list. Entrees: We ordered the deep fried filet snapper (with white rice) and the chicken Khao Soi. The Khao Soi was the standout of the night -- perfectly cooked noodles and a rich, coconut curry broth that was easily 10/10. The snapper was fried beautifully, and the mixed vegetables tasted incredibly fresh and bright -- almost ceviche-like in flavor. Portions were satisfying enough that I had zero room for dessert, but this is absolutely a spot I'd come back to explore more of the menu.
