Definitely went back to try other dishes. I mean I just had to! Service is always on point, very friendly staff and water quickly refilled. Nice and cozy restaurant you never feel rushed. The Yum Woon Sen salad was interesting. The dressing/sauce was very strong in fish sauce and lime. If that's not your thing? Def stay away. I love fish sauce but it was overwhelming and a tad hard to eat but I did enjoy it just very strong in taste. This time I had the steak, I had asked for medium well. Sadly it was well done and cut very thick so it was kinda hard to chew and swallow even after I cut a piece into 3. I could have sliced them thinner myself but I mean that's really ideal? BUT the tamarind sauce was delicious! The side of sticky rice tho was unnecessary I couldn't understand why it was served with it so I only tried it but left it on the side. Massaman curry was very flavorful and very peanut flavored def keep that in mind. Lots of veggies and side of rice. Very filling. Overall I enjoyed everything and been here a few times and will def come back and try more dishes.

This is the most variety of Thai food I found in a Thai restaurant in northern NJ thus far. Interior 5/5 - nicely decorated and inviting. Tables were spaced apart with enough space that you're not on top of each other. Exterior 5/5 - plenty of parking. Make sure you park on the lot to the right and not the left of the restaurant. Food 4.5/5- I got the Khao Soi and Yen Ta Four. Both were noodle dishes and both were something I wanted to eat but not a lot of places serve it. The flavor was there and I really enjoyed both. There were crispy wontons on top of both dishes and it was better placed on the Khao Soi because the soup absorbed it and made it more easier to eat but still offered that crunch! Normally Yen ta four is soup based but I'm glad they made it a dry version (pan fried noodles style). There wasn't that wok flavor but nonetheless a good meal. Friendly staff. I'll bring my hard pleasing Thai parents here and get their verdict as well! But I have no doubt they'll enjoy the food. I'm glad I finally made the trek over here.

An AMAZING Thai food option in north jersey! I loved the seasonal crispy betel leaves, they were tasty bites filled with various flavors and textures. The boat noodles broth was delicious and the meat and noodles had the perfect texture. The crab and shrimp curry had a nice flavor with slight heat and loved the seafood in it. Service was attentive and friendly and the ambiance was really nice! Would highly recommend!!

Chicken Satay 7/10 Pork Belly Pad Thai 8/10 Beef Pad Se Ew 6/10 The chicken satay was very tender and juicy however it could have used more seasoning on the chicken and more peanut sauce and picked cucumbers on the side. The Pad Thai was pretty good however the Pad Se Ew was too salty for my taste. Overall, the food is pretty good but the portion sizes of the dishes were quite small.

Food (4/5) - I think the food here is pretty solid! Had some friend calamari as an appetizer and the pad see ew w/ chicken for main. The calamari was quite light and crispy and their dipping sauce was a good compliment. The pad see ew was solid too, the texture and quality of the ingredients and sauces was what I would expect in terms of good quality Thai food. I dropped a star because of the pricing in relation to portion - imma be honest and say that I've seen places in NYC be cheaper than here and also provide better portions. But quality overall in relation to pricing wasn't outrageous either. Service (4/5) - service here was def above average in terms of their attentiveness! I usually down water pretty quickly and they were very prompt about refilling and also checking in to make sure things were fine. Def noticed their mannerism was nicer and warmer than other places. Experience (4/5) - The ambiance and environment was really warm and nice. They utilize a lot of soft lighting and nature/wood tones to make the space inviting. I went during the evening and the interior/vibe really elevated the entire experience overall. I can def picture people choosing here as a date spot or a nicer/formal eating spot. TLDR: You're here more for the experience. The food is what you'd expect out of a good Thai restaurant but portions are meh. Would come again!

We stopped by last minute on Friday night around 6pm and luckily there was one table available. Soon after there was a wait to get a table our entire visit. We sat down and right swayed loved the ambience with the lights and art on walls. We got the pork belly fried rice as an appetizer which was incredible with huge chucks of pork belly. We followed that up with the Massaman chicken curry and Chai Ya Talay (seafood stir fry). Both entres were flavorful and and surpassed expectations . I would only suggest if you like spicy to go up an extra level of spice. Best of all BYOB! we will be back to try more of the vast entrees.

First time ordering from here - they delivered within 40 min which wasn't bad. I had the Spicy Pork Belly lunch special and the portion was good and pork belly quite tasty. It was nice that they also gave decent amount of veggies and I liked that they gave choice between side salad, spring roll, or tom yum soup. That said, the salad wasn't the best - cucumbers were borderline mushy and they didn't give enough dressing - maybe they could put it in a small container within the salad container? Colleague's pineapple fried rice also tasted good but was tad bit spicy for her. All in all, a decent thai in the area.

Still my favorite spot and it never disappoints - I've literally gone twice in two weeks! Since I have always gotten the same dishes (Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Pad See Ew, Spicy Pork & Basil - or the occasional Duck Salad, Honey Rib, Basil Fried Rice), I noticed a lot of tables that had this dish and knew I had to get it too - the Crispy Betel Leaves are such a great starter. Crispy leaves that are also very light (not greasy feeling at all) that pair so nicely with the sweet & salty, gingery, deep flavors of the shrimp mixture. We really enjoyed this and now have another favorite dish!

Four of us visited last night and noticed we were almost the only non-Asians in the place, that tells you it's authentic! We have never had a bad dish and this visit met all expectations. Thai flavors are always exceptional even if you are not a hot spice fan (like me). Three of us started with the Tom Kha Soup, perfect for cold night. Coconut broth with yummy veggies and just the right spices (Galangal is so unique). Shrimp or chicken added is very nice. I had the Pineapple Fried Rice which sounds boring for a main, but it's full of chicken, shrimp, and other flavorful goodies. We sometimes share as an app, but my favorite so must have one way or another. My son has the Duck Curry which was massive, very tender, almost no fat. He took on level 4 spice, not for me but I tried it, wow. The Masaman curry is always a big hit, daughter said it was great once again. Wife had Green Curry with Shrimp, "creamy with crisp vegetables, very good". Servers all seem to be family, and I believe most are. They all treat you with respect and the true care which adds to a nice experience. Ambiance is warm and nice, great spot for table talk. Prices are fair, and yes, they are still BYO! Keep up the great work!!

Food-wise you'll find most of the typical Thai restaurant dishes. I like to start with their spring rolls, which are fried crispy and done very well here. I've tried a few of their entrees, and unlike other Thai restaurants where I typically gravitate towards the curries or basil sauce based dishes, those didn't have as much flavor as I expected. What I did find myself enjoying was their fried rice and pad thai noodle dishes, so those would be my recommendations if you're visiting the first time and not sure what to get. I'll add a nice plus is that takeout doesn't cause as much loss in food quality as other places.

The decor is bright and the artwork on the wall is so beautiful, which I eventually found out was hand drawn by the owner, which is so impressive. The service is on another level. Mike is the best and always makes sure we have a good time. The food is so authentic and Nana's recipes are to die for. It's also BYOB so make sure to bring a good wine to pair with the amazing food. The Chicken Satay is a must get. It is plump and juicy, which isn't always the case with this dish at other spots I've been to. The Tod Mun Goong (fried shrimp donut), was one of my favorites of the appetizers, the flavors really burst. As for the entree, the classics were good but let me tell you about the signature dishes! Mike recommended the Braised Beef Short Ribs Kua Curry and Crab Curry and he did not disappoint! The short ribs fell off the bones and the soft shell crab in the curry was so flavorful! They both paired so perfectly with rice. We were so impressed that we came back the following weekend and I'm still craving it as we speak. I'm excited to try everything else on the menu because I know I will not be disappointed. Do yourself a favor and come give Chorn Thong a try!

As I sat down, I could tell immediately that the owners had a great sense of aesthetic design through the selection of their tableware and utensils and overall design of the interior. The light fixtures, mural and even the bathroom had an intentional curated look and feel. And this design-sense carried through to both the presentation of the dishes as well as the ingredients and flavors. I ordered the crispy tofu and fried-shrimp donut for my starters and shrimp Pad Thai and Crab fried rice for my mains. There was a slight mixup with the Shrimp Pad Thai and I got crispy pork belly instead of the shrimp and holy smokes, it was a welcome mix-up because it was fantastic. The thing that stood out to me most was how springy and fresh tasting the noodles were. The quality of the noodles transported me back to Thailand. The crab fried rice which came shortly after the Pad Thai - WOW. It was the star of the show for me; it was so incredibly tasty. The rice was flavorful, the egg was prepared so fluffy and tender, and the crab meat cooked perfectly. Incredible dish. Throughout the night, my table was served by, who I would later find out, the owners Mike and his wife Nana. They were incredibly kind, accommodating and Mike was so friendly and had a great sense of humor. Toward the evening, I expressed to him how fresh and springy the noodles were and he explained how he picks up fresh noodles and fish every morning. This commitment to quality is what sets restaurants like this apart. Excellent job.

We ordered beef satay, Thai fried rice, duck chili basil, and chicken red curry. I also had a bowl of Tom Yum soup, which was excellent -- fresh ingredients, tasty, spicy, and refreshing. Everything was flavorful and well prepared as usual. We also had a bottle of Singha beer and Thai green iced tea -- both great, and the imported Thai beer here is still very reasonably priced at $5.95. The restaurant was busy during our visit, which is usually a good sign. A couple things caught us off guard this time. We asked for shrimp crackers to snack on before the food arrived -- something they used to give complimentary -- and later noticed a $5 charge for them on the bill. There was also a 3% credit card fee added with no mention of it beforehand. If costs are rising and adjustments are needed, that's understandable. Just be transparent about it so customers aren't surprised when the bill arrives. The food itself was still very good, but the unexpected charges took a little shine off the experience this time.
