Clockwise: Tom Yum Goong Soup, Jasmine white rice, Red Curry and Drunken Noodles.
    Janet H.

Clean, cozy hole in the wall Thai spot. Food is ok, slightly above average. Here is why -- Drunken noodles - Too much flavor going on. It was overly sweet and salty. I had to mix the noodles with the Jasmine white rice to be able to eat it. Thai Red curry - I hate Thai curries and this was actually decent tasting. Goes well with the Jasmine rice. Tom Yum soup - On the blander side. Needs more spices. On the positive note, the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Reasonable portion sizes. Fair prices. Attentive service. Normally wouldn't say this but I would return again. Only to give other dishes a shot.

I gotta give DD Thai a 4 Solid Yelp Stars!! Their food here is very tasty, service was excellent and efficient, and I even ordered to go which was surpsingly, quality of the food was excellent. I love how they make every dish with clean presentation and the best part, it taste hmm... hmmm... good! I deifintely will be back and I suggest you order their sticky rice with mango. Until then, Cheers~ :p

Formerly Rubys Thai Cuisine now DD Thai Cuisine Food: my favorite dish so far is DD seafood. Fried battered scallops, shrimps, squid and mussels with spicy green curry yum! I like that their pad see ew has Chinese broccoli. Pad kee mao is tasty too and more on the tomato side instead of the overpowering basil which I enjoy with tofu. Love the char the wok brings out on this dish. Chicken basil has fresh crunchy veggies with just the right amount of spice. Small portions so order accordingly. Ambiance: small sits about 20-30 people, clean and filled with Thai decor Service: will be slow if busy since there's usually only one server I'm a fan so far and look forward to returning. A great alternative to mall dining which is literally right behind them.

Every dish hit the table hot and quickly without feeling rushed, which I always appreciate. Great casual lunch or dinner spot! Catch up with friends or enjoy a lowkey dinner without feeling rushed or overly formal Also love that this spot is BYOB. I paired my meal with a Thai iced tea -- flavorful and refreshing, just not overly sweet (which some people might actually prefer). Appetizers: The curry puffs were delicious -- flaky, flavorful, but I definitely wished there were more than three. Chicken satay was well executed, but the honey ribs completely stole the spotlight. Super tender, flavorful, and easily the must-order on the starter list. Entrees: We ordered the deep fried filet snapper (with white rice) and the chicken Khao Soi. The Khao Soi was the standout of the night -- perfectly cooked noodles and a rich, coconut curry broth that was easily 10/10. The snapper was fried beautifully, and the mixed vegetables tasted incredibly fresh and bright -- almost ceviche-like in flavor. Portions were satisfying enough that I had zero room for dessert, but this is absolutely a spot I'd come back to explore more of the menu.

Not so good - curry puffs were tasteless, fried calamari were meh. Not good - duck salad had dry overcooked duck, green curry with beef was barely edible and had a funky sidekick flavor reminiscent of stale bucket water after the floors were mopped with beef that they threw in there, which was dry and super chewy. Water they serve is straight out of tap and I doubt it's even filtered as it had smell and taste that didn't have any hint of filtration. And a 20% automatic gratuity added to your bill for a group of 5 plus. Had to ask 1 waiter for a check 3 times. Got it finally after asking another waiter. First and last time for me in this establishment. Those posting 5 star reviews probably never had good Thai food. This place doesn't hold a candle to restaurants like Pimaan Thai or Wyckoff Thai. Lots of room here for improvement.

The Chicken Satay is a must get. It is plump and juicy, which isn't always the case with this dish at other spots I've been to. The Tod Mun Goong (fried shrimp donut), was one of my favorites of the appetizers, the flavors really burst. As for the entree, the classics were good but let me tell you about the signature dishes! Mike recommended the Braised Beef Short Ribs Kua Curry and Crab Curry and he did not disappoint! The short ribs fell off the bones and the soft shell crab in the curry was so flavorful! They both paired so perfectly with rice. We were so impressed that we came back the following weekend and I'm still craving it as we speak. As I sat down, I could tell immediately that the owners had a great sense of aesthetic design through the selection of their tableware and utensils and overall design of the interior. The light fixtures, mural and even the bathroom had an intentional curated look and feel. And this design-sense carried through to both the presentation of the dishes as well as the ingredients and flavors. I ordered the crispy tofu and fried-shrimp donut for my starters and shrimp Pad Thai and Crab fried rice for my mains. There was a slight mixup with the Shrimp Pad Thai and I got crispy pork belly instead of the shrimp and holy smokes, it was a welcome mix-up because it was fantastic. The thing that stood out to me most was how springy and fresh tasting the noodles were. The quality of the noodles transported me back to Thailand. The crab fried rice which came shortly after the Pad Thai - WOW. It was the star of the show for me; it was so incredibly tasty. The rice was flavorful, the egg was prepared so fluffy and tender, and the crab meat cooked perfectly. Incredible dish. Throughout the night, my table was served by, who I would later find out, the owners Mike and his wife Nana. They were incredibly kind, accommodating and Mike was so friendly and had a great sense of humor. Toward the evening, I expressed to him how fresh and springy the noodles were and he explained how he picks up fresh noodles and fish every morning. This commitment to quality is what sets restaurants like this apart. Excellent job.

Four of us visited last night and noticed we were almost the only non-Asians in the place, that tells you it's authentic! We have never had a bad dish and this visit met all expectations. Thai flavors are always exceptional even if you are not a hot spice fan (like me). Three of us started with the Tom Kha Soup, perfect for cold night. Coconut broth with yummy veggies and just the right spices (Galangal is so unique). Shrimp or chicken added is very nice. I had the Pineapple Fried Rice which sounds boring for a main, but it's full of chicken, shrimp, and other flavorful goodies. We sometimes share as an app, but my favorite so must have one way or another. My son has the Duck Curry which was massive, very tender, almost no fat. He took on level 4 spice, not for me but I tried it, wow. The Masaman curry is always a big hit, daughter said it was great once again. Wife had Green Curry with Shrimp, "creamy with crisp vegetables, very good". Servers all seem to be family, and I believe most are. They all treat you with respect and the true care which adds to a nice experience. Ambiance is warm and nice, great spot for table talk. Prices are fair, and yes, they are still BYO! Food-wise you'll find most of the typical Thai restaurant dishes. I like to start with their spring rolls, which are fried crispy and done very well here. I've tried a few of their entrees, and unlike other Thai restaurants where I typically gravitate towards the curries or basil sauce based dishes, those didn't have as much flavor as I expected. What I did find myself enjoying was their fried rice and pad thai noodle dishes, so those would be my recommendations if you're visiting the first time and not sure what to get. I'll add a nice plus is that takeout doesn't cause as much loss in food quality as other places.

When I called in to ask "when you say 'spicy,' does that mean white-people 'spicy' or Asian-level 'spicy'?" They humored me by answering honestly and non-offendedly. Their staff was very accommodating and solution oriented by giving me the spices on the side so I could adjust for myself PROS: their spicy garlic chili oil (made in-house), veryyy addictive.
