The specials came with the entree (& a choice of protein), a side appetizer (veggie spring roll or veggie dumplings) and a small salad. We ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai, the Chicken Green Curry and the Beef Thai Basil. Everyone loved each of the entrees and especially the pad Thai and curry being the favorites. My sister and I tried this restaurant wanting to love it, it turned into a nightmare QUICKLY. We ordered lemonade, tasted like cleaning chemicals. We ordered pad Thai, myself no spicy- my sister spicy. Her food wasn't spicy and we had to send it back. They brought it back out - mediocre. My pad Thai had plastic in it. I took a large bite and had two large long pieces of plastic or tape. I was distraught. It cut my mouth and was overall very grossed out. I let them know he offered to take it bare handed. I said at least get a napkin, he put it in a takeout box to give the kitchen. I wasn't apologized to. It was not a great time. The place was small and lit decent. The ambiance is the downside as the restaurant is tiny inside, has one to two tables inside. Takeout is your best option. Also, this is the only authentic Thai restaurant in Fort Lee, NJ! I came here for dinner on a Thursday night with a friend. Fort Lee has mostly Korean and Japanese restaurants so thought we should try the only Thai restaurant. The place was a bit small so there were only 3 or 4 tables available for seating. We ordered the duck rolls appetizer, the chicken satay appetizer, and the massaman curry with shrimp. The duck rolls barely had any duck in it, mostly just vegetables. The portion was quite large though since there were five rolls. The chicken satay was the better appetizer but the chicken was a bit dry. The massaman curry was a bit bland but the portion was large. Service was friendly and fast. I ordered delivery via DoorDash after getting a Thai food craving from last night, and I ordered Pad Thai w/ chicken, Eggplant Basil w/ beef, and Green curry w/ shrimp. Pad Thai (4/5) - Pretty good- could've used more chicken bits and a bit more fish sauce but was savory and great. Eggplant Basil (3/5) - I initially have this a 2/5, but when I ate it again for dinner later, I stir fried it and it was surprisingly good with good amount of heat! Not sure why it was so bland during lunch but maybe the sauce didn't mix very well in takeout container. Still though, it's a bit one dimensional compared to my usual go-to, spicy Basil, and it was a bit too salty. Green Curry (3/5) - I ordered "spicy" but I think they forgot to because it wasn't even medium spicy. While curry was soothing, I was rather surprised at the lack of... character. It could use a bit more aromatics and shrimp. So while it redeemed itself after sitting on my counter for a few hours then warmed up for dinner, it was okay. My wife really enjoyed all the dishes though. I do want to support the place so perhaps I would try dining in... but as of this first experience, there are other better options in the area. About 20 mins after ordering $100 worth of food and just as everything else was closing, they called to inform me that they didn't have the chicken, pork or shrimp to make half of the food I ordered. The jasmine rice wasn't actual jasmine rice, it was some kind of regular white rice and it was so soggy that was almost a rice cake. I ordered Pad kee mao and Chicken red curry. Pad kee mao had a little bit of egg shell in it. But the red curry was unacceptable, it had no character and they put lots of vegetables that are not supposed to be in red curry. Curry was so bland and the chicken tasted like precooked chicken that they just added into the curry later. I am so surprised to see a 3 star for this restaurant. I have only eaten inside once but I order from here on Uber eats all the time. The flavors are amazing! They listen to your order request and actually follow them! The level of spice and flavor make my mouth water. They have really coconut water with real coconut pieces in it which is soo refreshing and delicious. My fav! Based upon recommendation from our server, got Pad Kee Mao with Crispy Duck and a Crab & Basil Fried Rice - the latter being a special request from me. The Pad Kee Mao was tasty and with a large portion. The duck was all boneless and crispy, I found this enjoyable. The fried rice wasn't bad but I've had better, I thought it was nice that they were able to accommodate and make the crab rice with the basil. This was the first time we tried this restaurant (delivery). The word that best describes our experience is "excellent". The Thai Iced came in a glass mason jar I can keep (nice touch) and was just the way I like it. The dish I love more than any other is dumplings + the steamed vegetable dumplings were superb, with a tangy sauce different from the run of the mill soy dumpling sauces. The green curry with salmon was very good, a generous assortment of vegetables including cabbage. It was billed on the menu as "grilled" salmon but tasted more like poached. My favorite Thai take out! I love spicy and their menu indicates which dishes are spicy and what level of spice they are. My favorite thing is the Drunken Noodles, technically called Pad Kee Maow. I've also had the Pad Thai, dumplings, green pepper curry, and the pineapple fried rice, all well made. The staff there isn't amazing but for takeout I don't care as long as they get my order right. When I ate at the location (mind you it's a very small congested dining area) the girl who waited on us was super nice but wasn't attentive to filling our drinks or bring the bill when we finished. The quality and quantity of food makes up for it. Overall I really feel Aura is a hidden gem in fort lee. There's not many good authentic Thai places around and they have a great menu. read more

I highly recommend the chicken satay as appetizer, for $5.95 , you get 5 skewers of chicken satay that grilled to the perfection, they will give you 2 different kinds of sauces, one is peanuts sauce and another is vinaigrette sauce which complements the chicken satay so well. I have tried some main dishes, and so far, the Pa-Kee-Maow has been my favorite and regular friend rice is also pretty good. They put chopped chinese broccoli in the fried rice which is not often seen in other place, but I really like it. The food from Aura Thai are also not as greasy as other Thai place. However, I will tell you to avoid Fresh rolls, this dish really disappointed me.
