Service 5/5 Food 3/5 Thaiway is at Englewood for about 1 year. Modern contemporary design. It's not a big place but very clean and chill relaxing vibes. Unfortunately the food is mediocre. Tamarind shrimp with fried thin noodles need way more sauce. They put the shrimp right on top of the noodles. All the sauce goes down to the bottom. Noodles itself have no taste. I got minimum taste of tamarind. Thai ice tea has way too much ice. I don't get the strong tea or cream flavor. Chicken wings are good tho. juicy and the sauce is good. Crab curry is not bad. Not spicy at all even though they put 1 on the menu. Nice staff. Attentive and friendly. I hope they adjust their flavor a bit. Thai food should have bold flavors.

Came as soon as Thaiway opened starving. They were ready to receive my mother and I at 11:32a. The restaurant was beautifully lit and modern really cute for a sit down lunch or casual dinner date. We Started with a Thai ice tea, so yummy and refreshing and with the lunch special we had a choice of salad or soup I got the chicken wonton soup. So refreshing and tasty, the clear broth soup was a perfect palate waker-upper. We shared the chicken wings which were seasoned and cooked to perfection. And for lunch I had the pad basil dish it was spicy and filling and perfect. We got mango mochi for dessert Top tier lunch !

So I saw this place and I noticed that its been awhile since I had Thai food. Stopped in and this place was amazing. I had a great time here as the staff was aamzing and the service was excellent. I had the dumplings and the Pineapple fried rice. Both were top notch and tased great. Overall I had a good experience and looking forward to coming back here.

What an amazing authentic Thai restaurant! The new beef noodle soup dish is a savory yet light great addition to the menu. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff are so attentive and friendly. I highly recommend coming here for an authentic Thai experience.

I've been to this Thai restaurant many times. The food is prepared with authentic Thai flavors -- just like in Thailand -- and you can choose your preferred spice level. My favorite dishes are Pad Thai, Tamarind Shrimp, Fried Fish, Papaya Salad, Grilled Beef Salad, and Green Curry Beef. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean. I'll definitely keep coming back. I also love Thai iced tea for my drink and Kanom Tuay for dessert.

Thaiway is a dependable local Thai spot for comfort dishes and casual dining. It's a reliable place when you're craving Thai cuisine.

Girlfriends and I came on a weekend for dinner. We love Thai food and were excited to try! We ordered pad thai, pad see ew, papaya salad, and a curry. The waiters must have forgotten to put our pad thai order in, because we had to ask for it when it didn't show up with the rest of our food. The portions were on the smaller end and some of the dishes we hoped were more flavorful, but it is a bistro so that might explain the size. The restaurant is super cute and trendy.

Went back two more times - food is consistently clean and tasty! Service is quick and lovely. Space is clean and calm as well any day of the week!

Tiny Pat thai entre $18 rubbery chicken

This was the worst Pad Thai I've ever had and I've had a lot. It was flavorless, yet as soon as you open the container, all you smell is fish sauce. I paid $18 for the chicken Pad Thai, but the portion was surprisingly small, more like a lunch-sized serving. Smaller than my hand. The chicken had a strange, rubbery texture. Overall, it tasted more like the fake Pad Thai you'd get from a generic Chinese takeout place, not from an authentic Thai restaurant. On a positive note, the place was clean and nicely decorated, and the woman who helped me was very friendly. I genuinely wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

But when it comes to Thai food, there's just two, and Khao Thai is one of them. Inside, the space is fairly large but it's kept relatively quiet and intimate with lots of two-tops. Our crispy calamari appetizer was a bit of a letdown. While hot and crispy, they seemed to have been breaded and fried as clumps. Even the accompanying sweet chili sauce couldn't mask that tough, rubbery texture. Entrees fared just a little better. My pad see ew was a little bland but perked up with some chili sauce dribbled over the plate by the spoonful. He goes back to his manager and they honor it. Their IG post also mentions a surf & turf special for $59 (which is one of the main reasons I chose this restaurant). When I inquired with the waiter he stated it's only available for dinner (this is not mentioned anywhere on the post). Between the 4 of us we had several lobster tails with waffles, 1 person ordered hot honey chicken with waffles, 4 additional lobster tails and several sides of eggs with bacon. 3 waffle orders came out together and everything else came out staggered 20 - 30mins later. We repeatedly had to ask for the rest of the order. A friend had a Cadillac Margarita which was good. I attempted to order one and was told they ran out of Cointreau and Grand Marnier. How do you run out of the main ingredient for a standard margarita at 2pm on a Sunday?! Passion fruit wings along with a few other menu items were not available. All in all I wouldn't return to Czen. Although my waiter was very pleasant doing the best he could and the ambiance was nice, the restaurant was poorly prepared and brunch was poorly executed.

Right off the bat, I was impressed with the interior. The pop art! The giant takeout box in the corner! The homage to Bruce Lee in the bathroom! Whoever was in charge of the restaurant's interior design took their jobs seriously. Service here is also fantastic. My husband and I were greeted boisterously as soon as stepped through the door, and when the guy at the counter heard this was our first visit, he was eager to explain the ordering process and the choices available. Fat Choy offers buildable and customizable bowls that are meant to be inspired by Chinese takeout options but healthier. What I appreciate is that they don't use seed oils (a big no-no in the health food world). It all sounds great. But in my book, food has to taste good. And this is unfortunately where Fat Choy fell flat for me. It might be 'healthier' Chinese food; it's also quite saucy and salty. Every single ingredient I selected for my bowl was heavily seasoned, and not always in a harmonious way. Even the more recognizable takeout elements of our meal - like sesame chicken - tasted a little off the mark. Some things were a little too gingery, others seemed a little heavy on the soy. In short, if you want to satisfy a craving for certain familiar Chinese takeout entrees, you might not want to bring those cravings here. But let me interrupt my mini-grousing session to mention one absolutely praise-worthy item here. The crispy mushrooms? Delectable. When we were ordering, my husband pointed to the pan of mushrooms at the counter. We were confused when they went into the back kitchen to get his serving. As it turns out, the ones in the front are a front; when someone orders it, they'll fry up a fresh batch in the kitchen so that customers never get the mushy ones. I respect that level of dedication towards optimizing taste.
