Since the first visit, I have ordered from here multiple times. In the process got to try some of the other items in the menu like Tom Yum Soup, Beef Pad Kra Pow and Chicken Pad Seew. All these dishes were really good. I continued ordering the pineapple chicken fried rice. Also Massaman curry is sooo good, it's my favorite dish. The sauce tastes so good with rice or tortilla. I ordered over phone every time. They stick to their time estimates and my order was ready for pick up every time. The staff member, especially the owner/chef Atisha, are so friendly. I was craving some Pad Thai so we decided to try the newly opened Thai Chef Jr for a recent Saturday lunch. I called in an order for Chicken Pad Thai and Ginger Beef and decided to go with a spice level of 0 to see what the flavors were like without any heat, but appreciated being told about the customizable option ranging from level 1 to 5. Pick up would be ready in 25-30 minutes, so the wait was on the longer side but totally worth it for freshly cooked dishes. However, the experience quickly soured upon trying the food. Ginger Beef had ginger flavor but on the saltier side for our taste. Pad Thai was very disappointing not due to the saltiness, although that didn't do it any favors, but these weird burnt flakes that were throughout the noodle dish. I took a photo of the biggest piece I saw -- whether it was burnt food or pieces of the pan that was used, it is definitely a health hazard and not something that should have been served to paying customers. I absolutely love this hole in the wall Thai takeout restaurant. It's delicious. They really are innovative, but have all the classic dishes. Everything's super fresh for me to order. Absolutely delicious new Thai takeout place in Dumont. We tried their Thai Chef Dumplings, which are a must try. So much more flavor than any other Thai dumpling that I have tried. Also went for their Crispy Pork Belly over rice, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The sauce on the side is great for either dipping or pouring over the pork and rice. The Roast Pork over rice was nice and moist with yummy sauce over the rice as well. I can't wait to go back and their their noodle and curry dishes. They were so nice, friendly, and took their time with us. read more

But the curries are way too sweet, oppressively so. Idk if it's the meta in Asian cuisine to make everything sweeter, but I do not like it and do not care for it. The only reason I rate this place so well despite my dislike of it, is I recognize the food was cooked really well, with lots of care, and with fresh ingredients. But the flavor profile was just too much off my strike zone. That and they charged $8 for the smallest little sleeve of fish cakes I've ever seen. But that's a minor detail. I can see why this place has so many 5 star reviews tho. If you like sweet Thai food, I'm sure this place hits, really well. read more

Finally found a Thai spot that doesn't hold back on flavor! The balance of sweet, salty, sour and heat in the Massaman Curry was perfect! We loved how it had sweet potato in the curry to add just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the spice. The Ribeye Pad See Ew had that perfect 'wok hei' (charred) flavor, and the Beef Pad Kra Pao was a standout, topped with a perfectly fried egg with crispy edges and a runny yolk! The dumplings & gyoza were both fresh and don't have that "got lost in the back of the freezer" taste. You can tell these dishes haven't been rushed or modified, they taste like they've been handed down through a lineage of incredible cooks. It feels like you're being invited into a family kitchen to taste a recipe that has been polished to perfection over the years! We'll definitely be back! read more

I honestly didn't know what to expect, but the experience completely blew me away. The food was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every bite had the perfect balance of spices and ingredients without being overwhelming. The staff was warm, attentive, and happy to guide someone new to Thai cuisine. I was so excited when I heard a Thai restaurant was FINALLY opening up not only nearby but right in town! I ordered the golden shrimp rolls, Thai chef pad Thai, and mango sticky rice. The rolls were SO crispy and light, great flavor! You can tell their frying oil is fresh. Pad Thai was delicious as well, perfect balance of sweet, salty and tangy with delicious chewy noodles. The Thai chef variety had beef chicken and shrimp, and they did not skimp on the meat. Almost too much meat! Good portion size. The mango sticky rice had good texture, I liked the sweet/salty contrast of the mango and the sauce but I wish the sauce was a tiny bit sweeter. The presentation was beautiful, a mound of the sticky rice topped with a neatly sliced mango and a touch of edible gold leaf! So fancy! also liked the packaging of the food, round cardboard bowls instead of the plastic tupperware containers. Overall great experience and looking forward to trying more dishes read more

Ordered pretty late because online said they're open till 11 but actually was open till 10, and still insisted we ordered. Staff is super sweet and chatted with them for a bit while I picked up everything.
