Winner, Winner Thai Dinner! We had no expectations coming here, but food was SPOT on. Our family of 4 came here on a Friday evening at around 6pm and when we walked in, to our surprise, the waitress asked if we had reservations. The restaurant is very small and low-key, but, apparently popular amongst the locals. Anyhow, we were still seated even though we didn't have reservations and, to be honest, the restaurant never reached full capacity, although there were customers in and out throughout the evening. The menu was pretty standard, but seemingly very authentic with Thai soups, appetizers, salads, noodles, fried rices and special entrees. Everything in the noodles, fried rice and entrees groups were around the same price, so nothing was extremely too steep. Since it was our 1st time trying this restaurant out, we went with the very, very standard fare where you should have NOTHING to lose. We ordered: Sa Tay (BBW Marinated Chicken on Skewers) Pad See Ew with Beef Pad Thai with Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp Thai Iced Tea (You have to!) Andddd to our surprise, we really, really loved the food. The Sa Tay was a great starter/appetizer to wet our beaks The chicken was flavorful and tasty. As for the Pad See Ew with Beef, excellent. The Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp was probably our favorite, especially for our toddler son. The only slight disappointment might have been the Pad Thai. Although I liked it, my wife felt it was a bit too sweet for her palette. Portion sizes for everything was right on too and enough for us to easily share. Also, DON'T FORGET to order a refreshing Thai Iced Tea. Typically, it's hit or miss at restaurants, but most times it's a hit and it was definitely here! We loved that it wasn't premixed when it arrived, which gave it the allure of being fresher. The service was good and the waitress was friendly. Tables are little close to each other, but, luckily we never had a party sit next to us throughout our dinner. I do have to say that ALL of the food that we ordered did come out blazingly fast, which raised our eyebrows a bit, but the food was very delicious so we didn't think of it much. We tend to like to visit new restaurants all of the time, but this is one that we will definitely be back at.

Randomly stumbled upon this Thai restaurant. They have a great menu with all traditional Thai meals. Their Pad See Ew was really good, flavorful and great portion. We also had their shrimp and chicken dumplings and a house soup. It is a smaller restaurant but there is a good number of table seating. Service was great and was able to answer all of our questions. Due to the restaurant being on a Main Street in Ridgewood, parking can be tough at times but in addition to street parking, they also have a metered- parking lot literally right across the street. Overall, a nice option for local Thai food!

Amazing Thai food! Small place not a lot of tables but you can always do take out! Great flavor, not too salty or noodles mushy

Came to Ridge Thai for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Great atmosphere for small groups and conversation. The food came out really quickly and staff was very kind and friendly. We ordered the Chicken Satay for our appetizer, which came with five skewers and two different sauces. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned, and both sauces, especially the peanut sauce, paired well with the satay. Delicious. For our entrees we ordered the Red Curry and Pad See Ew. The curry was exactly what I needed to warm myself up. Not too spicy but very flavorful. It came with a small bowl of rice that I gobbled up pretty quickly. The Beef Pad See Ew was also delicious. The wide noodles had a bit of chew and the beef was well done. To top it all off, the Thai Iced tea very good--not too sweet, which it usually is for me, and helped wash everything down. Would definitely come back here again!!

Have been to this quite few times as it was one of our go to lunch spot. Their red curry, pad thai are pretty good. Tom yum soup is absolute delight. I do like to get their Thai iced tea. Nice cozy restaurant for a peaceful meal. Parking is little difficult to find during weekends and rush hours.

Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock

Update to my earlier review from 2024…read more We dined in for the first time on a spring Friday evening at around 6 PM and we were pretty much were the only ones dining inside for a majority of our meal. However, they were plenty busy with takeout orders. Service was quick as the waiter took our order down and our food was out within MINUTES! I ordered the Shoyu Ramen, which was a pretty good ramen considering they weren't a restaurant that specialized in ramen. The ramen was very tasty and like any other I've ordered from legit ramen restaurants. My wife ordered a custom poke bowl, which we've ordered many times before for pickup. The bowl was MASSSIVE and seemingly much bigger than what they typically give for takeout orders, although their takeout poke bowls are very generous too. For our kids, we ordered the House Special Fried Rice, which came with eggs and Chinese sausage. It was a solid fried rice and we were quite surprised it came with Chinese sausage because it's an ingredient we rarely see used for fried rice entrees at restaurants. Overall, our dining experience here was good and we loved that it was nice and quiet. It never got super busy, but a few parties did come in after us. The bread and butter of their business is definitely takeout though.

I asked if I could use the bathroom, and the lady looked me up and down. Her eyes locked on my rainbow necklace, and she said "you can go across the street." I thought she had to kidding, but as I looked at her I saw an expression that held mild disgust for me on her face. "Public restroom across the street" ( which there isn't...she was directing me to the stop and shop across the street, another business). I couldn't help but understand and feel what she was saying as: We don't want people like you here. Go where you belong. Your average, run of the mill Japanese/sushi restaurant…read more We came by on a hot Friday evening at around 6 PM and, unlike some of the more popular restaurants in Ridgewood, this restaurant was pretty much empty when we walked in. However, it did get pretty busy around 7 PM, but there were still available seats. For a restaurant in this area, it was pretty big with quite a few tables inside. The menu was very typical of any local neighborhood Japanese restaurant - Japanese soups and salads, appetizers, entrees like teriyaki dishes, noodles/udons, rice entrees and lots of different sushi and sushi rolls. Nothing on the menu will blow you away or be surprising, but it'll satisfy your Japanese food craving if that's what you're seeking. Our family ordered Edamame and Fried Gyoza to start and both were good. The Gyoza was actually better than I anticipated, arriving at our table hot and crispy. For entrees, we ordered our kids the Salmon Teriyaki, which was solid. There was a lot of teriyaki sauce on the salmon and the salmon was not overly cooked or dry, so that was a plus. I ordered 3 regular sushi rolls - Spicy Crab, Spicy Yellowtail and Spicy Salmon - and all were good and pretty much what I expected. My wife ordered the Sushi Regular, which came with 8 pieces of sushi and a California Roll. Once again, all good. Nothing that was off about any of it. We also ordered a Nabeyaki Udon, but I didn't get to try any of it, however, our kids ate a lot of it, which was a good sign that it was good. Like I said, there was nothing that was bad here and everything was good, but nothing is spectacular either.
