After a day of antiquing nearby, we did a little search on Yelp and found Wyckoff Thai. About 20 minutes later we had a table of food in front of us and a new favorite Thai spot. We started with the Somtum salad & Mussels & Herbs. The salad was crunchy and refreshing with a really tasty peanut sauce, and I loved loved loved the lemongrass broth that the mussels were in. Two great starters. We all split a few dishes like the pad see ew with added shrimp and squid, the pineapple fried rice and the pad thai. Every single dish was so good. For dessert, we shared the sweet sticky rice with mango and it was delicious. The perfect way to cap a meal. A wonderful, cozy space perfect for a casual & very affordable meal. I moved to the area recently and have been on the hunt for good thai food, so glad that Wycoff Thai was recommended to me! We ordered delivery and it was ready on time. The chicken pad Thai was flavorful and a generous portion, I had plenty of leftovers! The stand out item was the dumplings, though. The food was very good. Pad Thai, spring rolls and Rangoons were all delicious and plentiful. The restaurant is tiny and when we were there it was unbearably loud. We couldn't even have a conversation. It might have just been the patrons that were in there but it made for an unpleasant dining experience. Would try again to see if it is any better. read more

Wyckoff Thai Delight is a neighborhood gem that features exceptionally tasty, freshly-prepared, and reasonably-priced Thai food and attentive service in a very cozy, modestly-upscale ambiance. Although it only has a small dining area that seats about 30 people, Wyckoff Thai seems pretty popular with small groups for dinner on Friday or Saturday nights and it may be difficult to get parking or seating during those peak times. The combination of the limited seating and some groups' loud, animated conversations means the noise level can make it pretty challenging to enjoy a private conversation at a reasonable volume. The menu offers a range of options with fried rice, noodles, curry and sautées, seafood, and Thai-influenced entrees that range from $16 for to $30. On my last visit to Wyckoff Thai, I tried the Sriracha Noodle ($16), a dish of robust rice noodles, deep-fried tofu, and steamed vegetables (+$3) sautéed in a mildly-spicy sriracha sauce, which I really enjoyed. My dining companion and her father had the Spicy Eggplant ($18), comprised of sautéed eggplant, onions, and bell peppers topped with basil with chili paste garlic sauce and served with a side of rice, which was very tasty. The portion sizes were very generous and my dining companion and I both wound up taking home enough leftovers for lunch the next day. On our multiple visits, the service has been attentive without being overwhelming. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area. PRO TIP #1: Bring your favorite wine or beer to enjoy with your dinner. Wyckoff Thai is a BYOB (or, "Bring Your Own Bottle" for those of you not familiar with the term) establishment. PRO TIP #2: Consider a carpool or rideshare to the restaurant. Wyckoff Thai has a very small private parking lot with less than 10 spots located adjacent to the restaurant. After 5pm, additional parking is available in the Elisa Carril & Co. salon parking lot located just across the street (310 Franklin Avenue). read more

I had dinner at Wyckoff Thai on a Monday night. Luckily, my party had a reservation because the place is pretty small and it was packed. We were seated right away and our orders were taken pretty quickly. To start we had somtum (papaya salad) and spring rolls. Both came out rather quickly and they were pretty good. I usually like a little more heat in my papaya salad but I won't hold that against them. It still tasted fresh and good. The spring rolls were your standard spring rolls with the sauce on the side, solid but nothing extraordinary. My girlfriend ordered Tamarind Duck and she seemed to really enjoy it. She finished the whole plate and she rarely finishes her food. It must've been good. I went with the Pad Kee Mao and opted for chicken as the protein. I like that they offer several different types of proteins for most of their dishes. You can basically get whatever you want in any noodle or curry dish. I enjoyed my Pad Kee Mao. The noodles were cooked perfectly and there was a generous amount of chicken. Again, I prefer having this dish a little more spicy but it was still very flavorful. Next time I'll probably request that they up the heat a bit. To finish things off we had mango sticky rice. It was delicious. I feel like this dish is kind of hard to mess up, but Wyckoff Thai nailed it. Service was very attentive. They did a great job of keeping my water cup filled (and I drink a lot of water). Some of the best Thai food I've had in a long time. Several of my relatives order from here quite a bit and thankfully this evening when we were getting together I was able to join in on the fun. We split a couple of appetizers including the chive cakes, dumplings and crab raccoon. All were delicious. For our dinners we ordered two ducks, one with tamarind and one with spicy sauce, as well as the salmon in a green curry and shrimp and calamari in a green curry. Side of fried rice with added tofu. All the portions were absolutely huge, so even though there was a lot of splitting amongst us there were plenty of leftovers. The duck was super crispy and tender, the salmon was flaky and wow, super spicy. The calamari and shrimp were not overcooked and chewy. It didn't look from the outside like there was much of an indoor seating area but totally fine as this will be my new takeout Thai staple. read more

Today we had the fried rice with crispy duck which was delicious duck was crispy and flavorful. i got the spicy eggplant with chicken and steamed rice which is sweet, spicy and savory all at once. Their curry puffs are light and flavorful and their wonton soup has a homey feel to it. Washed down with their butterfly pea lemonade its a culinary delight! The waiters are the best. I told her that I had a reservation and the website said they close at 9pm and that we would put our orders in immediately. She told me that would not work because the kitchen closes in 4 minutes. I asked if we could order out and was told no. The manager came and said if you give the order right now I will do it. Since I didn't know the exact names of what I ordered and I would now be taking it home, I asked him to look up my regular take out order and I would bring food home for my kids as well. It's always in the system when I order by phone, and it's a large order, but for some reason the owner couldn't find it and then just said Sorry, we don't have it. It was now past 8:15 and the kitchen was closed. My husband and I left and heard sorry again to which I answered that he's really not because we are good customers and my husband is probably not going to be eating before going back to work for a long case. It was terrible treatment. They should not take 8pm reservations if there kitchen closes at 8:15pm It's absolutely ridiculous. First, the food is awesome. There's no doubt this is some of the best Thai food you can get in Jersey. The bigger issue is the staff and overall operation. If you need parking during lunch, do not park across the street. The woman managing the lot specifically said cars can be towed because it's not a public lot, yet the staff inside will tell you it's fine. Don't listen to them unless it's dinner time, when parking there is apparently allowed. Second, if you're ordering pickup, I'd honestly suggest going somewhere else. Expect to wait an hour or more for your food, and there's rarely any apology or acknowledgment when orders are massively delayed. I want to keep supporting this place because the food is genuinely that good, but the operation itself ruins the experience. Dining in is slightly better, but many of the same issues still exist. Service is slow, water refills are almost nonexistent, and the place feels poorly managed overall. Almost every time I'm there, another customer is visibly frustrated about something. It's a shame because the food deserves better than the experience surrounding it. If they don't improve how they treat customers and handle operations, it's eventually going to catch up to them. read more

It's a small restaurant without much decoration and flair. But what it lacks in decoration, it makes up in with good food. I ordered the thai iced tea which was nice and sweet. We ordered the Tom kha ga soup. It had a very lemongrass taste with a nice spice kick. The pad thai was made well and very traditional. It was a decent portion size too. The prices were fair. The red curry was good and on point too. It's a nice no frill Thai restaurant and I was shocked at how many take out orders that were coming through all night! Every single time I order from this restaurant, it is nothing short of amazing. I always get the fresh rolls and Tofu Pad Thai without peanuts and.... Wow. It's always fresh, hot, and filled the flavor. I truly love this restaurant. I have never eaten inside but when I pick up my order, I see there are a few tables inside and it looks very clean. Once again I am completely let down, disappointed and appalled by yet another lousy restaurant in northern Bergen County. This place charged over $100 for a chicken pad thai, a shrimp pad thai, duck fried rice and 4 spring rolls. Everything! Everything was tasteless and or vile. The spring rolls were literally inedible. The insides were unidentifiable. 4 shrimp adorned the pad thai and it was such an inferior shrimp that Bubba Gump rolled over in his grave. The other pad thai had chicken that was so old, well done, dry and tasteless that I thought I was eating balsa wood. The duck in the fried rice was so burnt and disgusting that it made me sick after one taste. The duck actually tasted old and or seemingly expired; if duck had an expiration date. You have to be an utter moron to ever eat here and give them your hard earned money. Stay away from this shithole restaurant. With any luck they'll be out of business soon. We order from Wyckoff Thai at least once a week and usually enjoy the food, but the last few pickup experiences have been disappointing. On September 24th, we placed a large online order (over $100) for the office. When I arrived to pick it up, less than half the order was ready. The staff explained there was a POS issue and the kitchen hadn't received the full order. They apologized and prepared the rest quickly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the same exact thing happened again today, October 8th. When I pointed it out, the staff said they'd make the missing items but didn't offer much beyond a quick "sorry." No effort to make up for the repeated inconvenience, not even a drink or a small gesture while I waited again. Even before that, I'd noticed some inconsistency with the food quality for example, the Pineapple Fried Rice once arrived clumped together and clearly microwaved. We really do like this place and want to keep supporting them, but I hope management can address these ongoing issues. Consistency and a bit of customer care would go a long way. read more

We ordered a couple of drinks.The bluepea lemonade was amazing. We had Satay for the appetizers and it is so good.Juicy and perfectly grilled. For the entrees we had madness fried rice with chicken and spicy cashewnut with chicken.Madness fried rice is the star.Loved it.Will go back to this place just to have that. Best Thai Restaurant in Bergen County NJ. A small trendy vibe restaurant in NJ. The food is awesome here. Bruce and I stumbled upon this great restaurant in Wyckoff NJ. It was a bit of a drive but it was fun and well worth it. We ordered the Lobster Ravioli with Thai Curry. It was scrumptious, after we finished the Raviolis, Bruce was just eating the curry sauce by the spoonful, we ended up ordering a bowl of rice just to soak up the delicious curry sauce. We also ordered Shumi, Sweet and Chili Red Snapper, and Pineapple Fried Rice. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. We have been passing this restaurant for years swearing we would go, finally tonight we tried it. It was absolutely delicious. We had Pad Thai noodle with crispy shrimp, huge shrimp, fresh and delicious, the noodles were amazing and it was a big order. We also had chicken with green curry, loaded with chicken a vegetables, which had a complex mix of not too spicy curry sauce. We also tried the chicken satay app, and the crab Rangoon. I absolutely hate to do this but the past few times have been a disappointment to say the least. We really enjoyed our first experience there but then it went downhill. We ordered from here several times and there were incidents where the food was so bland and dry - almost no sauce on the pad Thai (the noodles were almost stark white) and the Rama chicken was so dry (lacking sauce). I needed a modification to a dish (I asked for any possible sauce on the side) because I have a family member with diet restrictions and was told that they can't modify any dishes. Finally someone else (maybe a manager) got on the phone and helped sort it out, but not sure why having any possible available sauce put in a container on the side is an issue. How can you have a restaurant and tell someone they can't modify something so simple (it was literally steamed vegetables and tofu) so that the customer who is diabetic doesn't get sick? It was frustrating to say the least. It gets worse - food arrived and we found 2 long hairs in it. Gross. It's a shame because we live right down the road from Wyckoff Thai - but not sure how I can recommend it now based off the last few experiences. read more

A small but immaculate Thai restaurant in Wyckoff. We went to the town planning for another restaurant but due to long wait time, we ended up at Wyckoff Thai, and we didn't regret. We got sears right away. The menu was not overwhelming, easy to pick appetizers, entrees and lunch special. All the items we ordered, were full of real Thai spice and taste. Attempted a DoorDash today from Wyckoff Thai. The Dasher had to wait an hour for the food. Long story short, DoorDash was a disaster & didn't attempt to deliver for another hour & a half later. If the restaurant wasn't running so late, this would not have happened. Will not go here again. read more
