Last time I visited Look See was at their old location in Ramsey. This place is a little darker, more modern design and clean. We came in late due to some necessary shopping. The place was going to close in about 45 minutes. And our waiter made sure to explain that in detail. We ordered a bunch of dishes, sweet and sour shrimp, sautéed bok choy with garlic, chicken egg foo young and pork lo mein. Typical Chinese cuisine. It was tasty but it wasn't special. Was pleasantly surprised about how much we liked Look See. Got takeout on a Sunday night. The chicken teriyaki was pretty tasty and not greasy at all. Has a nice grilled taste with NJ ya I'd pepper. The miso soup was good. The steamed pork dumplings were standard takeout style so obviously they were delicious. Came there a lot many years ago, the quality of the food and the service has been going downhill. Today, kind of the last straw. Placed order for delivery. Specifically said steamed chicken with Snow peas. order is delivered, the ticket on the bag says steamed chicken with snow peas. But what do we get --steamed chicken with mixed vegetables and the person we ordered for can't eat some of the mixed vegetables. call the restaurant, tell the person on the phone we did not get the order that we wanted and he says he has to speak to the manager and the response is there's snow peas in there. I told him many times we order a protein with only one type of vegetable and wasn't sure why they couldn't get the order right. My family just moved to the area and decided to try this place out for Christmas dinner. We were very happy with everything. Estimated time they gave us was pretty accurate (only waited about 3 mins after I paid). Service was friendly. Food was amazing. I placed an order online and wanted pork fried rice instead I received white rice, the pork which was an extra cost was put into the chicken egg foo young and not in the rice.I called Look See to share my concerns and they did not seem to care nor offer to fix the issue. My family came here for dinner before a movie. My parents said this is their new place to come to since we just moved to the area, so obviously they liked the place very much. After our visit, my parents were pretty upset with the service we recieved, because some of our orders never went through or got mixed up, but everyone was happy with the food. Between the five of us, we ordered a few soups, salads, three chinese meals to share and three sushi meals to share. The favorites were definitely the Route 17 roll and the sesame chicken. The weird part, that wasn't a problem but not what we had planned on, was that they brought the sushi out well after the chinese meals, almost like another course. We are familiar with this kind of behaviour at restaurants that serve both sushi and chinese meals, but usually the sushi comes out first. I am honestly not sure why this restaurant has so many bad ratings. My experience there was actually really nice, and the employees there were very kind. My friends and I were on our way home from New York and made a pit stop to get some gas. We stumbled upon Look See and decided to dine in. We ordered a Chicken Lo Mein and General Tso's Shrimp. The shrimps that were used in the General Tso's Shrimp dish were very large shrimps. The batter was not too heavy, and the sauce was perfectly sweet, spicy and savory. Look See does General Tso's a little different in the sense that the dish had some baby corn, snow peas and bell peppers in it. Usually when I order any General Tso's dish, it usually just comes with blanched broccoli. I definitely enjoyed the mix of vegetables incorporated into the dish, it was a refreshing change. The Chicken Lo Mein was really good. I have had my fair share of Lo Meins and this was one of the better ones I have tried. The dish was very generous with the chicken and veggies, but was very proportionate to the noodles. This was a good dish to have on the side to cleanse the palette after eating the heavy General Tso's Shrimp. read more

I thought for about a week if I should post negative review, but than it is just fair. We had been going to LiokSee for years, no major complaints or disappointments, but not something to brag about. This time we decided to order curbside pick up to support locals. Soup was ok, beef chow fun had 3 glorious pieces of meat, crab rangoons were soft with strange consistency for staffing (can't blame it on sogginess from time). Sesame chicken was very strange, basically pieces of chicken swimming in very liquid sauce, no zest, no crunch, no coating. I was disappointed. Under different circumstances I would have driven back and had it with management, but being in a hospital all day I did not feel like going out for this nonsense again. I felt cheated. Everything was greasy and lacking flavor. Nothing appeared to be made in house. All of the meat was chewy and tough. I just ripped up $130. Now I need dinner. On Christmas Day we ordered from here. Website said 30 minutes for pick up, placed the order... a screen popped up and said your order will be ready at 6:49pm, I ordered at 5:19pm. I figured there was a line out the door, wrong... at 6:30 when I arrived, there were empty tables, and no one waited to pick up food and 3 bags behind the table. When I got the food home it was not even hot. The smallest container of rice I have ever seen, and no soy sauce packets just 3 fortune cookies. The food was not at all tasty, thank god I had soy sauce at home, we will not be going back here. Very sad indeed. read more
