Came with a coworker for lunch takeout. They have some great lunch specials during Monday-Friday. Service was fast and food was prepared and made fresh so there can be a little bit of a wait depending on the time you go. The name of this place cracks me up. It's so literal! Asian Cuisine has just that - Chinese and Japanese cuisine, including sushi/sashimi. They offer dine-in as well as take-out/delivery. They're located in between the A&P and the Dairy Queen. We ordered chicken with broccoli, steamed pork dumplings, and brown rice (to go). I can understand what the other reviewers are saying about the sauces being weak. The chicken was sliced super thin (almost too thin) and the brown sauce was a bit on the watery/oily side. The flavor was okay but it was lacking something. That being said, they were not skimpy with the amount of chicken in the order. There was acutally more chicken than broccoli and that, my friends, was a first for me. The steamed pork dumplings were quite good. This little place is wedged between an A&P Fresh supermarket and Diary Queen. This review is for take-out. I got the lunch specials on a Sunday afternoon, which save a bunch of money, was a more reasonable (smaller) portion, and included egg rolls and soup. The General Chow's chicken is chunks of chicken, breaded and sauteed in a sauce. It tasted like sweat and sour chicken, but not as sweet, or Panda Express's orange chicken but toned down by 1/2. Decent. 2-2.5 stars. The pork low mein was rice noodles, slight larger gauge than spaghetti, with strips of bbq pork (Cha Shu), with broccoli, water cress and bamboo shoots. This was the highlight of the meal - 3 stars. The stir fried broccoli with tofu was decent. It was in the standard brown sauce with lots of sliced veg - bamboo, onion, carrot. okay - 2 stars. Setting was quiet, with booths and a little 4-person sushi bar near the back. Each table had the bowl of fried won ton skins as a pre-meal snack. Standard fair - 2.5 stars. This place has been here for 5 years, but has never been reviewed. It's really an average Chinese place, but I think it fills the Asian fix when you have the hankering. It's convenient to where I'm staying, so I probably will come back. read more

Hard to find good sushi these days in Bergen County but I decided to give Asian Cuisine another try.. Ordered 2 California rolls and it came up to 12some dollars plus a. 2 dollar tip so I wasted 14.00 dollars. Now The huge downside it was only 12 appetizer pieces of sushi. Was looking at a huge disappointment like was I missing a box or this is it. Can't believe this place is still open after all these years better off going to the masa sushi. I can go to wegmans and buy 14 dollars of sushi and get more for my dollar I know times are tough but if you cut corners around this pandemic you're going to loose a lot of customers read more

i got chicken low mein noddles and a vegetable spring roll. the low mein was so dry, plain and had no flavor at all and the spring roll tasted like literal paper. i thought it was going to be better because you can never go wrong with those two but this place disappointed me. I hate to give a bad review to a small business because I know how hard it is to get by but this was by far one of the worst Chinese food experiences I've had. The service was speedy, in fact, too speedy. The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. I had the curry chicken and my wife had the chicken and broccoli. We both took a bite then looked up at each other in disgust. The chicken was a weird spongy texture and honestly we thought it was tofu. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing. I asked that mine be brought back and replaced with Pepper Steak. I kid you not, it seemed like they took the same meat and put it in a darker sauce and called it pepper steak. It was the same weird spongy texture and took all I had not to gag. It's possible it was an off night and so don't let me dissuade you. But if you try the chicken and/steak and it's the same texture I won't be surprised. Other than this, the staff was nice and quick. The place was small but clean and well lit. It was empty for dinner on a Saturday night so perhaps that should've been an indicator for us. read more

Middle of the road cuisine, service and atmosphere. Had steamed dumplings, lo mein and chicken cashew. They serve sushi and I tried a roll but wouldn't order sushi there again. Stick with the Chinese food and you'll do ok. Prices were extremely reasonable so if I had to feed a lot of people I'd order from here. read more

Ate here last night for dinner with my mom, grandmother, and brother. The ambiance was clean and relaxed, with comfortable booth seating. The service is great and we were given the option of regular hot tea and green tea (which is my favorite). We ate family style, having the following dishes: Appetizer: Seaweed Salad Miso Soup Greens Salad Pan Fried Wontons Pork Fried Dumplings Edamame Entrees Sashimi Regular Asian Hot Pot I don't need to rate these dishes individually because they were all great. There are some goods to this restaurant, but I don't think I'll be coming back. First off, we had the complimentary won ton skins that are there when you are seated. That was pretty good. I had the chicken lo mein, which was horrible. I added some low salt soy sauce which made it taste terribly salty. I hardly ate it. At the end, we got complimentary fortune cookies from the front desk. The waiters were very nice. The place itself was also very nice. We came for a late dinner, so there was practically no one there. There was a sushi bar in the restaurant. Overall, the service and restaurant was nice, but the food was horrible. This place is a nice little location. It is near A and P, but not tiny, and has nice room for sitting if you'd like. Their Chinese food is pretty standard, but good. They accomodate if you have a dietary need, like steaming and adding vegetables and putting stuff on the side. They also have brown rice. Overall a nice reasonable Chinese food place. read more

The food was OK, nothing special, General Tso chicken was not as spicy as I had ordered, the chow mien didn't come with any crunchy noodles, and ordered extra... Hot an d sour soup had an odd texture, almost gelatinous and no salt what-so-ever. My son's sushi was good he said, but when he went to pick up the order, GPS didn't even get him close, LOL. Wonton soup with noodles not one piece of meat in the center of the wonton. Next was the worst House Special LoMein the noodles were recooked they fell apart on the fork, the shrimp was bad tasted like ammonia which means rotten,and the chicken was off colored and slimy even the fortune cookie was stale. The food is good BUT I always get an incorrect order. One time I ordered the Roll combo but instead of the cucumber roll i requested to charge me more for the Alaska roll instead. Never happened, I got the cucumber roll but was charged for the Alaska roll. Today I ordered the Chow Mein and instead I've No idea what I got but if this is the description of chow mein: Chow mein are Chinese stir-fried noodles, there is not one strand of noodle, just a bunch of chicken and onions. it is really annoying and disappointing. I am staying with two friends on a business trip and we all got the urge to order Chinese take-out. We asked the front desk at our hotel for the name of a good place, and they recommended Asian Cuisine. We ordered shrimp toast, steamed dumplings, shrimp fried rice, fried rice and mu shu shrimp. ALL of the food was virtually tasteless! The dumplings were as heavy as lead. The shrimp toast was a sad joke. Remember the commercial that asked,"Where's the beef?" Well, I've added a photo that shows their shrimp toast. You'll notice that something's missing...the shrimp! All we got was a bunch of soggy, oil soaked bread and NOT ONE NIP OF SHRIMP!!! We paid for over $53 worth of food and all but the small amount that was eaten in the hope of finding something that tasted good, went in the garbage! The saddest part is that my friend and business associate paid for this mess since I was providing our accommodations. So now, we're not only disgusted, WE'RE STILL HUNGRY BECAUSE WE COULDN'T EAT THEIR TERRIBLE FOOD!
