Vegetable chow fun
Desiree F.

I ordered from this spot for lunch for my clients. I called the day before and ordered several items for delivery and the lady that took my order was very nice. For myself I ordered the vegetable chow fun and the vegetable bao. Everything was delivered on time with no issues. I also asked the lady if she could put my food in a separate bag and she did which I appreciated. When I got in I ate and the vegetable bao was very delicious. The chow fun was pretty good also. My experience was good all in all.

Chicken and broccoli lunch special
Diana L.

Rating out of 10: 8 Ordered from the lunch special. Ordered a chicken and brocolli with pork fried rice and a wonton soup. The soup was nice, fresh, and seemed to have used a real chicken breast for the base. Came w 2 wontons (seemed home made); little meat but still good. The pork fried rice was flavorless. All I tasted was the oil. Good thing I like hot sauce cause I had to add a lot. The chicken and broccoli was good. The broccoli was perfect just cooked (not soggy) and the chicken was very tender. The sauce itself was pretty good. Not my favorite chicken and broccoli but its up there. Would I come again? Yes but don't expect a lot from this place

Third time here and essentially the same as you would expect to find at most Hibachi houses. The service good, prompt, friendly. Enjoyed the Steak and Shrimp, soup, spicy salmon roll and two beers. The chef show was good and with two other dinners and three mixed drinks the bill with tip was 168!

Fried Pork Wonton

I've been curious about this place since it opened so finally gave it a try. Pretty solid food and definitely did feel a little healthier and less heavy than the average Chinese takeout fare, as advertised. I will say it's a bit pricy for Chinese but the portions were generous. Ordered a wide range of stuff and while some items were better than others, nothing was bad. Highly recommend the the Pan Fried Noodles with Beef, one of my favorite things. Sesame Chicken was also delicious. The Roast Pork Bao was also a surprise hit too, not sure what the white sauce they use on it, but it was a perfect complement to the pork and the bao was big! Pork Dumplings and Wonton Egg Drop Soup were just ok, a little bland but otherwise fine. Overall, while a bit hit-or-miss, it was mostly hits and a good meal. Will definitely order again!

a meal of fried chicken and rice

Decided to try this place out since they advertise that they use less oil and salt. Ordered a bunch of lunch combos, including boneless spare ribs and chicken wings. The pork had no taste, other than being sweet and chewy. Chicken wings were advertised as 4 but they're literally 4 pieces, not the 4 wings that other Chinese restaurants sell, and they were burnt and dried up - see photo attached. Fried rice was also dry and flavorless. Do not recommend this place to anyone.

After a day of pizza and beer in NYC, I had a hankering for some bone-warming fast Chinese, and…read morethis place mostly hit the spot. First the good: This little joint is located in a strip mall and is clean with plenty of private parking. The dude that took my order over the phone, as well as the guy at the counter, were both very polite and professional. My order was correct. The beef & snow peas here are wonderful, with tender meat and crisp tender veggies. It's mild, which is good for the non-spicy eaters, but it's nothing that a little hot chile oil didn't fix. The (fake) fried scallops from the appetizer menu were also nice. Obviously, with such a low price point, you aren't getting actual mollusk. But they had just enough seafood flavor and are great for dipping or even adding to something else. The not-so-good: I get hot & sour soup everywhere I go, and this was neither hot nor sour. I tried to jazz it up with chile oil and some soy sauce to no avail. On a positive note, it's chock full of thinly sliced vegetables and cubed tofu. Further, it was extremely thick, as if someone accidentally added way too much cornstarch. Either way, it was not my jam. I also ordered lobster fried rice thinking that I would get fake (but not bad) lobster, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they actually use langoustine, which is a small lobster. This is the same lobster that Long John Silver's uses in its Lobster Bites. But the rice was a total fail. It was gummy, separated and without flavor. Bottom line: If I lived here, this would likely be my go-to Chinese takeout joint. Despite a couple of disappointments on my visit, it's obvious that these folks try really hard to please their customers.

This is a negative review of both the restaurant and the Yelp/ Grub hub online ordering platform…read more I tried this restaurant for the first time and ordered through the Yelp app. After placing my order, and seeing an estimated pick-up time window between 15-25 minutes from my order time, I drove to the restaurant, about a 10 minutes drive from my house. I didn't expect my order to be ready when I got there that soon, but I confirmed they had received my order when I arrived at 6:55pm. I was told it would be a "few more minutes." As I waited, the clerk kept asking me my phone number as new orders were being readied for pick up. None of these were mine. While I was sitting there waiting, I received a notification from Yelp/ grub hub on my phone that my order was ready at 7:09. Still, I waited for my order to be called. Finally, at 7:23 I was told my order was ready. Why did it take so long? Why did Yelp notify me that my order was ready 14 minutes before it actually was. No explanation from the restaurant. A small apology for the wait and an offer to take a "can of soda" on the house. No thanks. I won't be back.

Who knew? I emailed him and Jae Wong responded explaining that they still sell their dipping oil but it is sold as "spicy sauce" on the menus. Fast forward he has 3 locations in NJ and 1 was downtown Hawthorne, just 1.5 miles from me!! I just feasted on his recipes including the dipping oil!! Cant rave enough!! The time I spent researching online was worth every minute!! Biggest fan, Katie

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at Bobby wongs for lunch. I got the tangerine beef bowl…read morewith white rice and it was really good. Beef was tangy spicy (but not too spicy) and crispy and it came out hot and fast. Appreciate the fact that the beef was not chewy or tough They also add these crispy onions on top of their bowls which is a nice touch. My boyfriend got the Cajun pork cutlet bowl over lo mein. You get to choose your base for the bowls which is nice. The lo mein noodles are thicker than the typical lo mein noodles you see at Chinese takeout, these look more like pho. Either way, I tried a bite and they were great and the flavors were there. My boyfriend also loves their soup and the homemade chips are awesome. In terms of ambiance this is more of a daytime spot. Not too many seats. It's very bright inside maybe because there's a lot of plants in there on the wall. It's still nice, just not that dim nighttime ambiance and there aren't a ton of seats . You place your order at the register or they also have a convenient self order kiosk. We will be definitely be back to try everything else on the menu.

My girlfriend and I visited Tasty Junction for an early dinner one Saturday. They weren't too busy…read moreso it was easy to find a table for 2. Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock
