    Boneless Spare Ribs (small)

Tried China Pavilion for the first time today. The boneless ribs are excellent. Rather than the usual red dye and oily consistency, these taste like they have a dry rub and are actually broiled by flame. The generous slices of pirk were tender and juicy. No meow meow here. Wonton soup was hot and fresh. Finally, the Hunan Beef was served in a slightly spicy brown sauce over white rice. Beef slices were tender and tasty. This was a large lunch for someone who works on the road, so I only finished half of the Beef and took the rest home. I will definitely return to China Pavilion in the future.

This was my favorite Chinese Take Out Restaurant until I moved west of Route 17. Their food was always delicious and the cooks and staff were friendly and helpful. The remembered regular customers and special orders. Now, every time I am in the area I place a phone order, pick it up and bring it to my new home. I have not found a restaurant to compare with the taste, quality and service China Pavilion provides. I will always come back for a delicious meal here!

This is probably the best Chinese take out in town. It's got great quality and whenever we order it we are never waiting more then 20 minutes for it. My favorite is the pork fried rice. It comes in a cool looking container and they are very nice people who work there. Whenever we get Chinese good we always order from here! It's a must if you have not tried this place already!!!

Amazing Chinese food in Northern NJ!! They have a great selection for lunch and I had their General Tso's chicken, spicy, with brown rice!! It wasn't greasy at all and it was well put together!!! Love this place!

We came by for dinner on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend at around 5:30 PM and the restaurant was buzzing all evening long. Apparently, there were customers in there with reservations because the employees asked us if we had one when we arrived, but we were able to snag a table for 4 without one. When we picked Hanami to eat at for dinner, I didn't think this was going to much of an experience as, from looking at the menu, it seemed like your average Japanese restaurant that served overpriced food. And, for the most part, it was, in that the food was fairly pedestrian and a bit on the high side for what it was worth, but the restaurant was pretty nicely decorated inside, which we DID NOT expect. To start our meal, we ordered the Spicy Chicken Wontons with Peanut Sauce and Scallion Pancake and both were OK. The skin on the wontons were definitely on the thick side though, so it felt like we were eating a whole lot of wonton wrapping. The peanut sauce was kind of a strange addition to the dish too because the wontons were supposedly to be spicy, so it technically already had flavor. As for the Scallion Pancakes, they were also very thick on the breading. It was crispy, but could have been a bit flatter and thinner. For our entrees, I simply ordered just 2 sushi rolls - Eel Avocado and Spicy Yellowtail. My wife ordered the Sushi Deluxe, which came with 9 pieces of sushi and a Tuna Roll. For our kids, they shared the Chicken Fried Rice. Nothing here was outstanding, but it was all decent. The sushi was what it was and nicely plated, but they were all just your everyday sushi and sushi rolls that you would order for takeout. The Chicken Fried Rice was OK, maybe a bit too salty, but decent. Honestly, we only ate at Hanami because it was near a few ice cream shops that we were interested in visiting after dinner. The restaurant was very nice and spacious inside for a local Japanese fusion restaurant and it was absolutely packed on the evening that we went, which was also kind of shocking. I guess people love coming here because of the space, nice decor and the fact that they serve your run of the mill Japanese and Chinese food, although personally I do feel that it's a bit overpriced, but, if people are willing to pay it, then all the power to them.

Every dish hit the table hot and quickly without feeling rushed, which I always appreciate. Great casual lunch or dinner spot! Catch up with friends or enjoy a lowkey dinner without feeling rushed or overly formal Also love that this spot is BYOB. I paired my meal with a Thai iced tea -- flavorful and refreshing, just not overly sweet (which some people might actually prefer). Appetizers: The curry puffs were delicious -- flaky, flavorful, but I definitely wished there were more than three. Chicken satay was well executed, but the honey ribs completely stole the spotlight. Super tender, flavorful, and easily the must-order on the starter list. Entrees: We ordered the deep fried filet snapper (with white rice) and the chicken Khao Soi. The Khao Soi was the standout of the night -- perfectly cooked noodles and a rich, coconut curry broth that was easily 10/10. The snapper was fried beautifully, and the mixed vegetables tasted incredibly fresh and bright -- almost ceviche-like in flavor. Portions were satisfying enough that I had zero room for dessert, but this is absolutely a spot I'd come back to explore more of the menu.

Four of us visited last night and noticed we were almost the only non-Asians in the place, that tells you it's authentic! We have never had a bad dish and this visit met all expectations. Thai flavors are always exceptional even if you are not a hot spice fan (like me). Three of us started with the Tom Kha Soup, perfect for cold night. Coconut broth with yummy veggies and just the right spices (Galangal is so unique). Shrimp or chicken added is very nice. I had the Pineapple Fried Rice which sounds boring for a main, but it's full of chicken, shrimp, and other flavorful goodies. We sometimes share as an app, but my favorite so must have one way or another. My son has the Duck Curry which was massive, very tender, almost no fat. He took on level 4 spice, not for me but I tried it, wow. The Masaman curry is always a big hit, daughter said it was great once again. Wife had Green Curry with Shrimp, "creamy with crisp vegetables, very good". Servers all seem to be family, and I believe most are. They all treat you with respect and the true care which adds to a nice experience. Ambiance is warm and nice, great spot for table talk. Prices are fair, and yes, they are still BYO! Food-wise you'll find most of the typical Thai restaurant dishes. I like to start with their spring rolls, which are fried crispy and done very well here. I've tried a few of their entrees, and unlike other Thai restaurants where I typically gravitate towards the curries or basil sauce based dishes, those didn't have as much flavor as I expected. What I did find myself enjoying was their fried rice and pad thai noodle dishes, so those would be my recommendations if you're visiting the first time and not sure what to get. I'll add a nice plus is that takeout doesn't cause as much loss in food quality as other places.

After our family's longtime favorite local Chinese spot closed, we spent a while trying to find a…read morereplacement that could satisfy our regular takeout cravings. We've since settled on Tin's House in Paramus. It's nothing fancy, but it's become a reliable option when we want classic Chinese takeout. The food is pretty standard American-Chinese, but one thing we've noticed is that it isn't nearly as greasy as a lot of other places. The shrimp toast is lighter than most versions we've had, and the boneless spare ribs always hit the spot. Because I have a gluten allergy, ordering Chinese food can sometimes be tricky. I usually stick to the diet specials, like the steamed chicken and broccoli, since they come steamed and I don't have to worry as much about cross-contamination. I also really appreciate that they offer gluten-free soy sauce, which isn't something every takeout spot provides. This is definitely more of a takeout spot than a dine-in restaurant. There are only a few seats inside, and the space itself is pretty plain and a bit dated rather than new or modern. That said, we usually prefer to bring our Chinese food home anyway, so it hasn't been an issue for us. I typically call my order in ahead of time and pick it up, and the food is usually ready pretty quickly. They also package everything well for takeout. Portions are generous too--especially the rice. You'll probably end up with more than you really need. It's located in a strip mall, so parking is easy and convenient. I do wish it were a little cheaper, but the pricing is probably pretty standard for Chinese takeout these days. The lunch specials definitely help make it a better value. Overall, nothing super fancy here, but if you're craving dependable Chinese takeout that isn't overly greasy, Tin's House does the job. Best for takeout when you want something quick and reliable rather than a sit-down dining experience.

Pretty much your average Americanized Chinese food takeout spot ... and when I say takeout, I mean…read moreit literally, as there are NO tables or chairs in here at all, so take that food that you ordered here home. Located on a super small strip mall on E. Ridgewood Ave, Tin's is pretty much what your standard local American Chinese food fare. The menu here is almost a replica of every single spot that serves this type of food - you've got your chicken/beef/shrimp with broccoli or mixed vegetables, hot and sour soups, egg drop soups, fried dumplings, etc., etc., etc. and a wholeeeee slew of other dishes that are all too familiar if you've been to a restaurant like this. On a random weekday evening, we decided to place 2 small orders of Chicken with Mixed Vegetables and Beef with Garlic Sauce along with 2 small soups - Hot & Sour and Egg Drop. Like I said, food was as stereotypical as it gets for these Americanized Chinese restaurants. They hit the spot, especially my food guilty pleasure. The orders of Chicken with Mixed Vegetables and Beef with Garlic Sauce were good for what they were - tender meats, decent amount of veggies and enough sauce to blanket your small container of white or brown rice. The Beef with Garlic Sauce DID have a bit more spice and spicy flakes than I'm used to seeing. As for the soups, they WERE a bit on the thick side. The flavors were solid, but the soups could have used a bit more liquid to thin it out. Overall, not going to be anything you would write home about and spread the word about being the most fantastic food ever, but if you're looking to satisfy your hunger for a reasonable price, this is one of those spots that will do just that, especially if you're craving it.
