Nice little restaurant right next to the metro north. Came here for lunch on a weekend. It has about 6-8 tables inside and some outdoor space (too cold for outdoors). Staff is friendly and attentive, we tried a few things on the menu: Kari Puff - potato and chicken samosa, nice flavor, i liked it better with sauce from dumplings. Kui Chai - fried chive dumplings, again the sauce on these were great. Pork Belly Bao - was a miss. The bun was way too hard, had two slices of cucumber in it that were way too thick for such a small item, wouldn't order again. Pad See Ew - shared this as main dish. ordered with chicken, good flavor, a little too much salt for my liking. I would give this spot another try, there's enough things on the menu to keep it interesting.

Just had an absolutely outstanding lunch. Drunken noodles. Massaman curry. Definitely worth a detour

My one star rating still stands, and trust me when I say that I don't like giving one star reviews. Even though I said that I would never order from this place again, I found myself at a friends house recently and we decided to order Thai food. This place was the only place in the immediate area that would deliver (we didn't want to order from a 3rd party cause of all the extra fees). Because of my past experience with this place, I didn't want to get too crazy with my ordering. I still ended up ordering a shrimp dish off their menu and a dessert that consists of sticky rice with coconut cream and mango. Let me just say that the shrimp I ordered was inedible. The shrimp tasted really old. It was so hard to chew, it was truly unbelievable. I ended up not eating it. I will admit though, the dessert was very good. My friend ordered their Pad Thai (I made sure she stayed away from any of their curry dishes), but she was unimpressed. I would only ever go back for their dessert, but that's highly unlikely. Come on Durian, get it together!

The food was average, not great, not bad. Just ok. The "moo ping" was pretty lame, overcooked and not very good. The papaya salad was ok, the tom yum soup was not very good.

It's been a struggle finding great Thai food in Westchester, but Durian proved to be better than the rest. First of all, this is a TINY restaurant. Plan on waiting if you come at peak times on the weekend. FYI they don't take reservations and they don't take your name once you get there. We ended up waiting at the small bar for about 30 min on a Saturday night. The food was pretty good. I've been to Thailand and have taken cooking classes there, so I'm a bit spoiled. But the red curry was spicy and flavorful and had tons of tofu. I wish some of the tofu had been replaced with some other veggies, it would have made a more balanced curry. The rice that came with this was very good. My husband had the drunken noodles which was also pretty good with a nice mix of tofu and veggies. The papaya salad was very good and the juice from the lime added an extra zing. We both asked for our dishes to be a #1 level spicy, because they warned us that a #2 level of spiciness was pretty hot. The only disappointment was the dessert. The mango sticky rice was not as good as what I've had in Thailand. The rice was a little too mushy, and a little more coconut milk would have made it better. The mangos however were delicious. We are both vegetarian and asked for our entrees without fish or oyster sauce. The kitchen was accommodating, I just hope they truly didn't put any in our dishes!

The food at this restaurant was impeccable. The flavor on my palate was exquisite. It had the right amount of spicyness that I did not even need the extra hot sauce I asked for. I absolutely loved our server and the politeness as to how she served us. 10/10 service overall. I will definitely return.

It gets great natural light, which makes it feel warm and welcoming right when you walk in. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food is what keeps me coming back. This time I had the flat rice noodles with spicy basil sauce (Pad Kee Mao), and I always go with tofu as my protein because it's that good. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, exactly how I like my tofu prepared. We also ordered the red snapper larb, which was a standout. They break down the fish, lightly batter it with a thin, delicate crust, fry it, and then toss it in a bright, herbaceous vinaigrette. Super flavorful and really well balanced. I did find it alittle overcooked but not in an offensive way. If you're craving Thai and find yourself near New Rochelle, I highly recommend checking this place out. It's about a 15-20 minute drive and super convenient from Throggs Neck and even closer from Pelham Bay.

Thai Cookery Street Food has filled its spot, offering dine in, delivery, and pickup orders. Stepping inside of this high-class establishment with beautiful aesthetics that presented a well lite dining experience, through-out the restaurant, I found it to be a very relaxing and a welcoming environment. I was greeted and seated; the staff was very kind. I viewed the menu and chose Thai Crispy chicken rice bowl, the chicken satay, and a salad. The salad had a ginger dressing, and it was really tasty. I had the Satay chicken only because I tasted the Satay chicken at Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta. It tasted nothing like Boon Dee, so I found it the least and it was on the dry side, the Thai Crispy chicken was more on the bland side, but the jalapenos gave it a kick. This setting felt more like speed dating, instead it was speed eating. Everything was rushed and the timing of bringing out the food was way off; the food was brought out within minutes of each other. Maybe because it is Street Food, I mean, it's in the name. I had to rush eat so that the food would not get cold, but I failed. Maybe if I had a shovel, I could pack it in quickly. With a packed mouth, I desire to. Inspire more, Yelp more!

I'm always excited to hear about a new Asian place in the area. Their menu seemed relatively standard for Thai. They're not kidding about their spice levels! Take them seriously. The green curry was ok. There were too many fillers of peppers and bamboo shoots. The Thai fried rice was pretty standard, too. I'd skip the golden triangles, but we actually really liked the wings. We'll be trying more food from this spot - probably some different dishes.

Catch up with friends or enjoy a lowkey dinner without feeling rushed or overly formal Also love that this spot is BYOB. I paired my meal with a Thai iced tea -- flavorful and refreshing, just not overly sweet (which some people might actually prefer). Appetizers: The curry puffs were delicious -- flaky, flavorful, but I definitely wished there were more than three. Chicken satay was well executed, but the honey ribs completely stole the spotlight. Super tender, flavorful, and easily the must-order on the starter list. Entrees: We ordered the deep fried filet snapper (with white rice) and the chicken Khao Soi. The Khao Soi was the standout of the night -- perfectly cooked noodles and a rich, coconut curry broth that was easily 10/10. The snapper was fried beautifully, and the mixed vegetables tasted incredibly fresh and bright -- almost ceviche-like in flavor. Portions were satisfying enough that I had zero room for dessert, but this is absolutely a spot I'd come back to explore more of the menu.
