Lopburi noodles: Tasty, slight peanut flavor, tasty dish. Pork was tender. Chicken with peanut sauce: oozing peanut flavor, peanut lovers will love it. Very good dish. My no.2 fav dish. Seafood hotpot soup: it was good, i thought it would be more like tomyum, but it was still very good. Alot of calamari in it. Overall: Will be back, the param is a must try. Seriously good. This is a really fun place to go with friends or family. The food is good and the service, especially the guys who change out the grills so they don't get smoky, is excellent. The meats were quality, the portions were a bit on the small side, but you can always order more. That said, it's not Thai food, it's more like Korean BBQ but American style. Came to Lopburi Thai at the very end of the day, almost closing time. This cozy little spot is so cute and authentic. If you dine in, you get a choice of a free appetizer (spring roll or salad). They also have lunch specials from Tuesday - Friday which is pretty awesome. All I needed was a warm and cozy meal to take out. Despite it already being almost kitchen closing time, they were so kind and accommodating and reassured me it would be no problem to do a takeout. THIS MADE MY NIGHT! I ordered the green curry with tofu which was so yummy, flavorful and comforting as well as the spring rolls. Loved the sauce! For dessert I got the mango with sweet coconut sticky rice which was INCREDIBLE. This is absolutely worth it. It's so light, sweet and delicious. I'm always excited to try new places, especially international foods. Especially Asian foods in the Mid Hudson Valley lol. I was so excited when Lopburi Thai opened, but I try my best to hold off reviewing places I've only been to once. Now that I've been a few times, I can confidently say that I'm a huge fan. The space is small, with limited seating. That said, I've been here with really large groups before, we just called in advance to make sure they were ok and prepare for us. It's. very warm, inviting space though. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I've dined here with smaller groups (2-3) as well as larger groups (literally 20 people). The staff or owners are so kind and patient. They even catered to a peanut allergy, and were so nice about it. The food is phenomenal and consistent. I don't think I've tried anything I didn't end up loving. My favorite is the duck curry, but it breaks my heart every time I'm there and I have to only pick one entree because it's so difficult to pick. I think the prices are fair because the portions are pretty generous. The area is great, I love the village. There's ample street parking, and the municipal lot is right around the corner. The park is a block away which is perfect for an after-dinner stroll. There's plenty to walk around and see/do in the area during the day. read more

The beef fried rice had no authentic flavor, it was blend and the meat was dry. Paid US$3 for raw carrots per dish. Two entrees and an order of chicken satay cost around US80 w/out tip added. I thought it was too bloody expensive for what we got. read more

Stopped by and for lunch on our way to Vermont and it was well worth the 20min detour! We had the Lopburi noodles with chicken (spice level 2) and the drunk noodles with shrimp (spice level 3). Both were delicious and were on par with Thai restaurants in NYC. Spice level 3 was enough heat for me (on par with Shin ramen spice level). We also had the crab rangoons (delicious and tasted homemade!), Thai tea, and Thai iced coffee. Our food came quickly and our server was kind and friendly. The sitting area was moderately small but very cozy and well-decorated. We enjoyed their slaphouse playlist. If you enjoyed golden Thai Buddha restaurant in Fishkill you are sure to enjoy this place as well. Intimate little space that gets quite crowded in the evening so I happen to stop in in the afternoon where I was able to get parking in the municipal lot down the street. I was immediately seated and given the drinks and food menu. The host just explained that the restaurant was named after their home City which was a nice touch. I asked what her specialty or favorite was and order those with the spice level of number four, I was brave. The food came out spaced apart so I can enjoy each appetizer before the entree kicked in. I have to say the tom yam was very good and not similar to something I've had before. Assuming this is how it's made in their province or city back home. The food was very flavorful and crisp if that makes any sense. A reservation is a recommendation if you want to check its place out in the evenings. Came by here to see what it like here since I remember when this location was the Chinese takeout. Definitely an upgrade considering it's beautifully decorated and makes better use of the space, plus they keep the old fashioned pay phone on the wall. Now for the service, pretty good, very up on refilling the water bowls that make me think of dog bowls in a weird way and getting finished plates, which was very glad since the tables are on the small side so it gets cluttered on them. The butterfly lemonade was good, but a-bit much on sweeter side, wish it was mellowed out on sweetness like other places do. For hot pot seafood soup, incredibly delicious, the scallops, shrimp and squid were cooked perfectly and not rubbery. The broth itself was spicy and warming, found myself drinking it and bathing the white rice with it, to add flavor. The vessel they used to serve it was neat, but have say it was kind of hard scooping out of it to get the seafood . A great visit overall and I think it works better for the Main Street . read more

I'd like to say that I don't give 5 stars often, but this place deserves it. The service: really friendly, funny and sweet. I took my family out for an anniversary here. It is nestled right in the Main Street down in Wappingers Falls. A smaller side but still cozy. I had the Basil Duck. I don't have duck often so I thought, I'd try it. The give you portions that fit the price. And the duck was so crispy and everything was perfectly seasoned. My family all enjoyed their meals as much as I did. 10/10 recommend. After multiple recommendations we went for dinner and have been back repeatedly! The food is authentic and outstanding, the service is friendly and pleasant. We had a great Thai restaurant in the city and Lopburi Thai is far better! Every visit we spend talking about what we're going to order the next time we come. My husband visits his doctor and they spend time discussing how good Lopburi Thai is! We were definitely off to a very slow start with this visit. Before ordering and messing up the table, I advised the server that I have allergies and asked if they could be worked around. She seemed a little bit ruffled by that, but I just asked her to check in with the chef and told her it would be OK if they can't accommodate the allergies. There would be no hard feelings. Around the same time, a small family came in - a four top. And another couple with a baby. The other couple that was already there was ordering. So not too busy. I think she may have forgotten about me because when she came back, she asked if I was ready to order. I reminded her that she was going to be checking with the chef to see if myology could be accommodated. She was very pleasant, apologize, then disappeared into the kitchen Meanwhile, the other tables were ready to order so I took a backseat for a bit longer. Going on 17 minutes and I wasn't sure if they could accommodate my food allergy. Just when I was about to give up, the waitress came back and told me that the chef could prepare several items. I ordered straight away: spring rolls, and a noodle dish where the allergens could be eliminated. I also ordered a Thai iced tea, which was really delicious. Almost like dessert. The spring rolls, nothing special at all. Really just carrots and lettuce with a lovely peanut dipping sauce. I would pass on those in the future, especially for the price. The noodle dish on the other hand was really delicious with a delicate flavor and enough chicken serving. Knowing that my daughter would enjoy both of those items, I asked for to go container and the check. I was very pleasantly surprised when the owner came out to check and see how everything was. He was absolutely delightful, hospitable, and gracious. For that, I'm bumping up the stars. So based on the spring rolls, we lost half a star, but we gained one back for the lovely departure. So, this is a new spot in the Village. Used to be a Chinese take out. Walking in I was like dang, it's hot in here! Wife also said it was a little too warm. Turn the AC up please! We were the only patrons - I can only imagine if the place was full. It's quaint, on the small side. If the place was packed I could see myself being uncomfortable. The decor is cool though- I liked the ambiance. We were sat quickly and given menus. Waitress was bland - no smiles, strictly business. Left without a drink order but came back and asked if we were ready to order. We weren't, and she asked if we wanted drinks. We only wanted water which she brought quickly. The water came in a little bowl - I'm guessing it's traditional? I liked it! Except - no ice. Straight from the tap and not cold. Wasn't happy about that... But we ordered - I got the Green Curry Chicken, she got the Beef w/vegetables plate. The waitress delivered our food - gave wifey the chicken vegetable dish. Ugh! Had to wait while they fixed a new dish with beef. Both dishes were unbelievably delicious! The sauces were really off the chain good. I never had green curry before and WOW was this a good first experience. It was sweet and spicy and 100% delish. The beef dish had a sauce that was packed full of flavor - I'd be torn as to what I liked better... Overall, if I put the meh personality, warm water, and hot dining room aside, this place ROCKED my expectations. I've had Thai many times, but this spot ranks 1st on my list. One of our favorite restaurants locally. We've tried most of the menu at this point, and my favorite is basically everything with duck. Crispy, delicious, tangy, seasoned - when I order duck, THIS is what I want! The restaurant is a bit small, and that's my only complaint. I love the decor as well - lots of fun decorations, and the lighting and seating are nice. The service is always quick and polite, and the portions are great. Lopburi Thai is a small Thai restaurant situated on Main Street of Wappinger Falls, it is clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. Both my husband and I loved the Tom Kha soup with chicken, the broth was a mild light coconut broth with fresh vegetables. My husband had the pineapple chicken fried rice, he said that the chicken was a little dry and that there wasn't much pineapple in it. The Massaman curry was served with a side of white rice, it was flavorful with just a slight spicy heat. The dessert of coconut rice pudding was served in four tiny bowls --each was a bit larger than a tea bag --the consistency was more gelatinous than what a pudding should be. read more

We did take out the first time and ordered the Pad Thai and Red Curry w/chicken and it was so delicious that we had to go there to have our meal. I ordered the Cashew Nut with Chicken and my husband ordered Crispy wings and Bang Bang Shrimp and the Red Curry with Shrimp.
