The food was delicious, the atmosphere, cozy and the service was good. Would definitely be going back for dinner soon.

I love this place and the people out here. If we don't know where to go it's either Lopburi Thai or the Mexican place at the end of the street. The food is delicious and feels like it is homemade. The space is tiny yet very cozy. Service is quick. When it gets chilly outside and you don't know where to go this is the place!

Stopped by and for lunch on our way to Vermont and it was well worth the 20min detour! We had the Lopburi noodles with chicken (spice level 2) and the drunk noodles with shrimp (spice level 3). Both were delicious and were on par with Thai restaurants in NYC. Spice level 3 was enough heat for me (on par with Shin ramen spice level). We also had the crab rangoons (delicious and tasted homemade!), Thai tea, and Thai iced coffee. Our food came quickly and our server was kind and friendly. The sitting area was moderately small but very cozy and well-decorated. We enjoyed their slaphouse playlist. Would recommend for a lunch pit stop if you're passing through or staying nearby!

Dishes are a bit too saucy for my taste. A few dishes were decent but for the most part a lot of dishes needed a lot of rice to counter the sweetness of the mains. The highlight of the meal was the desserts which were the most authentic in Thai flavors.

We Stopped by for lunch on the weekend. Small cute little corner place. First impression: Nice welcoming service. Outside windows could use a cleaning. Warm comfortable decor. Nice authentic touches. Instead of water cups you get metal bowls. Cool fun touch. Ordered: Jasmine tea: nice and hot and tasty. Came in bag not loose brewed which would have been better. Butterfly lemonade: very good Tom yum soup: excellent taste. Served perfectly steaming hot. Nice portion with 3 large fresh shrimps Crab Rangoon: very well executed. Thin, fresh and crunchy. Drunken noodles: very good with excellent sauce Pad Thai: very good Lopburi noddles: excellent, best of the bunch. All noodle dishes well executed. Minimal oil. Excellent fresh Ingredients. Overall: Very good food and portions. Fair price point. Bathroom very clean ! Will return !

Came by here to see what it like here since I remember when this location was the Chinese takeout. Definitely an upgrade considering it's beautifully decorated and makes better use of the space, plus they keep the old fashioned pay phone on the wall. Now for the service, pretty good, very up on refilling the water bowls that make me think of dog bowls in a weird way and getting finished plates, which was very glad since the tables are on the small side so it gets cluttered on them. The butterfly lemonade was good, but a-bit much on sweeter side, wish it was mellowed out on sweetness like other places do. For hot pot seafood soup, incredibly delicious, the scallops, shrimp and squid were cooked perfectly and not rubbery. The broth itself was spicy and warming, found myself drinking it and bathing the white rice with it, to add flavor. The vessel they used to serve it was neat, but have say it was kind of hard scooping out of it to get the seafood . A great visit overall and I think it works better for the Main Street .

Delicious and authentic food, great service, and reasonable prices. We got the shrimp rolls, Tom yum soup, green curry, and pad Thai with tofu. I love that the green curry had a lot of veggies especially my fave bamboo shoots! The pad Thai was also deliciously saucy and the noodles were cooked perfectly and not mushy. Everything was presented very cleanly and portions were great! Highly recommend for a casual lunch or dinner.

If you enjoyed golden Thai Buddha restaurant in Fishkill you are sure to enjoy this place as well. Intimate little space that gets quite crowded in the evening so I happen to stop in in the afternoon where I was able to get parking in the municipal lot down the street. I was immediately seated and given the drinks and food menu. The host just explained that the restaurant was named after their home City which was a nice touch. I asked what her specialty or favorite was and order those with the spice level of number four, I was brave. The food came out spaced apart so I can enjoy each appetizer before the entree kicked in. I have to say the tom yam was very good and not similar to something I've had before. Assuming this is how it's made in their province or city back home. The food was very flavorful and crisp if that makes any sense. A reservation is a recommendation if you want to check its place out in the evenings. Also prepare for what could be a tough parking situation in the evenings especially on the weekend

Massaman Curry with chicken and jasmine rice. Soooo good.

I'd like to say that I don't give 5 stars often, but this place deserves it. The service: really friendly, funny and sweet. I took my family out for an anniversary here. It is nestled right in the Main Street down in Wappingers Falls. A smaller side but still cozy. I had the Basil Duck. I don't have duck often so I thought, I'd try it. The give you portions that fit the price. And the duck was so crispy and everything was perfectly seasoned. My family all enjoyed their meals as much as I did. 10/10 recommend. This may be one of my new go-to's

The food was great and the service is fast! The dessert was also delicious. Definitely coming back here for dinner.

Spring Rolls they were very fresh, but lacked in interest with the fillings - just shredded lettuce and carrots.

We were definitely off to a very slow start with this visit. Before ordering and messing up the table, I advised the server that I have allergies and asked if they could be worked around. She seemed a little bit ruffled by that, but I just asked her to check in with the chef and told her it would be OK if they can't accommodate the allergies. There would be no hard feelings. Around the same time, a small family came in - a four top. And another couple with a baby. The other couple that was already there was ordering. So not too busy. I think she may have forgotten about me because when she came back, she asked if I was ready to order. I reminded her that she was going to be checking with the chef to see if myology could be accommodated. She was very pleasant, apologize, then disappeared into the kitchen Meanwhile, the other tables were ready to order so I took a backseat for a bit longer. Going on 17 minutes and I wasn't sure if they could accommodate my food allergy. Just when I was about to give up, the waitress came back and told me that the chef could prepare several items. I ordered straight away: spring rolls, and a noodle dish where the allergens could be eliminated. I also ordered a Thai iced tea, which was really delicious. Almost like dessert. The spring rolls, nothing special at all. Really just carrots and lettuce with a lovely peanut dipping sauce. I would pass on those in the future, especially for the price. The noodle dish on the other hand was really delicious with a delicate flavor and enough chicken serving. Knowing that my daughter would enjoy both of those items, I asked for to go container and the check. I was very pleasantly surprised when the owner came out to check and see how everything was. He was absolutely delightful, hospitable, and gracious. For that, I'm bumping up the stars. So based on the spring rolls, we lost half a star, but we gained one back for the lovely departure. The noodle dish was really good. The setting was lovely. If I could make one recommendation for the ambience, it would be to have some background time music - instrumental or something soft to boost the ambience.

The ambiance is very modern and colorful, with brightly colored walls and murals and really nice family photos and thai decorations up making it authentically thai-american. My favorite dishes here are the guay chai appetizers-- which are fried, deeply savory and chewy-- and their pad see ew which has a umami, wok hei flavor and a silky texture on the rice noodles. My only note is that sometimes the rice noodles come pretty broken up in pieces from the stir fry. Their red curry and pad Thai are also great, very flavorful with a fair portion. I appreciate how now they give you a spice rack to self-customize your spice level instead of relying on the kitchen. I only recently realized how GOOD their drinks are too. By far the best matcha lattes in Putnam county, as a matcha lover I like how you can really taste the matcha rather than just the milk. Their cocktails during golden hour are also amazing, and extremely creative. They also host events like trivia nights and open mics that I would love to attend one day. Thai golden has really set themselves up to be a wonderful hangout spot, and a nice third space to be a part of the community in. Great food, drinks, and vibes all around.

More recently, we…read morehave done more takeout and have not visited the restaurant for a sit down meal in quite a while. I am pleased to report that on a recent Saturday night we had a sublime dining experience. The staff couldn't have been more gracious as they had the luxury of only a half filled dining room. We wanted to take our time and ordered an excellent bottle of wine, a Hugel Pinot Blanc from Alsace, one of the wines by the glass. It's always a winner and was priced at the astonishingly low price of $34/bottle. I've paid as much as $65/btl for this same wine in Manhattan. Our server gave us time to savor a glass of wine before we placed an order for appetizers. Summer Rolls were like having a salad rolled up in an impossibly thin rice wrapper. When dipped in the savory peanut sauce, they became a thoroughly satisfying vegetarian bite. We also ordered the fried dumplings, which put the usual, pasty Chinese restaurant staple to shame. These were light and crisp with a well seasoned, generous pork and chicken filling. Our main courses were, once again, amazing. The Pad Siew was richly satisfying with tender, succulent chunks of pork and wide rice noodles in a savory sauce. The roasted duck in red curry was a marvel of crispy skin and moist meat - half a crispy roasted duck in a Thai red curry sauce with onions, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, pineapple and Thai basil. Normally, I am not a fan of fruit in my main course, but here it perfectly complemented the spicy curry and the rich duck. The longevity of this restaurant (it was here when we moved to Beacon 19 years ago) is clearly a function of the professional and friendly staff and a kitchen that continues to turn out precisely prepared Thai cuisine. Looking back, I have to say that Sukhothai has gotten better over the years - not something that happens very often.

We were there at lunchtime on a Monday, which is typically a slower day for restaurants, but we were only one of two tables yet there was no real enthusiasm by the wait staff, two women with seemingly no mission. My daughter and I pressed on, however, having a craving for Thai cuisine. I had been here many years ago and found the food to be good but the service to be subpar. I've traveled throughout Asia extensively over the years so I find this complacency at this particular restaurant and anomaly. The food, however, was excellent. We ordered the duck with in a curry sauce, explaining my allergies to alliums. The meal was well presented, well seasoned, and allium free. So they earned back a star for that. My daughter ordered glass noodles with chicken and vegetables, which also was presented very well and extremely tasty. She was very pleased. We stuck with water, but I would've enjoyed being offered a pot of tea, even at a price. We were there for about an hour and saw two or three takeout orders, and one other table will be seated. Very slow indeed. There was a lot of downtime for the weight staff, but they didn't seem to feel it important to check in on us. That's a shame. So here's where we stand: five stars for the food and the value. Three stars for the atmosphere. And unfortunate two stars for Service. My rating is a generous three stars because the food saved the day.
