A beautiful Asian painting. - A horizontal Chinese landscape painting in a dark wooden frame is displayed on a tiled wall in a restaurant setting.

Today, on Saturday, August 24th, I stopped in for lunch after doing chores in the morning and to kill time before attending a meeting. Weeks earlier I had a large Almond Milk Tea with double tapioca pearls, no sugar, (I didn't miss it!), and a little ice. Today I had the Shrimp Chow Mein with Fried Rice and Egg Roll Combination Plate along with a large Matcha Milk Tea with double Tapioca Pearls, a little ice and no sugar (I didn't miss it!) The ambience was clean and light. The lady behind the counter was very friendly. Yes, I will return!

The service here is very on point, when I placed the order by phone they carefully repeated the order to ensure it was right and even in person as well when I placed it up. Also when I ordered the tea there, she asked how I wanted it and to shake it up to blend for a better flavor. Now the fried crab sticks were great, very meaty without shrinking due to frying and the outer batter was very crispy. House special fried rice I was pleasantly surprised that pork and chicken were in large slices portions rather tiny diced like other places, definitely worth it and felt like rice was more loaded. Rice itself was good, nothing fancy. Now the tea, very surprisingly that a take out has it, but let me say, it was amazing, got the Tokyo tea and it was a mix of strawberry and yakult which is like a yogurt drink. Plus love the Light up ice cube they put in tea to add to galaxy theme tea it's from.

A plastic takeout container holds fried chicken, yellow rice, and a green pepper, with a white plastic fork inside.

I really love Chinese food and I eat the food and I love the boba and it's the brown sugar one and the lady is very friendly and she knows my name and my family to order food to pick up the food by car!

Beef and broccoli was tops, as were the crab rangoon which had a nice form factor as well as a great taste. Boneless spare ribs were the best I've had among the local Chinese joints I've been to. The only negative was that I ordered something they don't offer anymore (double cooked pork) based on a picture of an older menu I found online, and instead of telling me, they just stir fried some cabbage and hot peppers with carrots and what seemed like tiny pork pieces from pan drippings. Weird. Here's an updated menu to prevent that from happening to someone else.

I love this place! Delicious food and the best service in Beacon. I have never had a bad experience.

Old school with waiters with bow ties. Food is very good, I'll reserve a star since it's not out of the box, but true to what you'd expect.

Best American Chinese in the area. Chicken wings and crab rangoons are great. As well as the eggplant in garlic sauce.

Today I took it back with the rice and pancakes, completely full. I brought along 5 recipes for MooShu that all included other ingredients, including mushrooms, shredded carrots, some also had slivers of other vegetables. I said my dish was all cabbage.....was told "It's not my problem." I left it all and walked out for good, you can't reason with that level of customer service. If they had described the dish as nothing but cabbage with some chicken I wouldn't have ordered it. Will never return and that's also "not my problem". (I have ordered MooShu Pork and MooShu Chicken for 40 years. This was the only time it was just cabbage).

Disappointed that ran out of hot oil for the day though. Steamed shrimp dumplings were very good, plenty of diced shrimp, very minimal amount of veggies and skins were perfectly cooked and not gummy in texture. The dipping sauce though was really good, rather than a just a tangy vinegar soy sauce dip, they added their own flair with a lot ginger for a more tangy taste,at least they live up to there name, ginger here. Thai special fried rice was mixed, decent amount of shrimp and chicken, the usual green peas and carrots, pineapple was interesting choice as well as green beans. Rice was well seasoned and bounced back forth from savory to sweet in taste. Rice was good, but if had hot oil could been better.

We ordered the scallion pancakes, gyoza dumplings, wontons soup and for na entree the general tso chicken, sushi and sashimi and California roll. So let's start with the appetizers they were good. I enjoyed the gyoza dumplings and the scallion pancakes. The wonton soup was ok. The general tso chicken was overly sweet; usually general tso chicken has a nice balance of sweet and spicy. I asked for it to be crispy but the texture was a bit off; it has too much batter. My niece ordered the sushi sashimi and her salmon was oily and slimy; I think. I did not eat it but she didn't eat it neither. When we told the waitress she was very nice and took off that item from the bill. The service was great and the appetizers were good. I am not sure if I would return . The place is nice and clean; it was warm. There were people there so it could have been an off day for them or what we ordered.

Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and medium in size. Atmosphere: During the weekday lunch rush, pretty packed, but mostly takeout. Definitely not like some of the places in Chinatown NY, but then neither are the prices. Nothing over $19. Most during the $12-$15 range. The portions are relatively large; sufficient to fill you up. It's all made to order. Tried the lunch special: roast pork egg foo with fried rice and an egg roll $12.98 with tax. Two large fluffy egg fu young omelets filled with char sui and vegetables. Not tough overcooked eggs. The brown sauce that comes with it, was on the side. It was smooth, all gloppy like some places serve it. The fried rice was also pretty good. Not loaded down with soy sauce. The egg roll wasn't oily nor greasy, hot - YES. I noticed one of the cooks was hand rolling egg rolls, and putting them on the side.
