Wow! Let's just start with the fact when we ordered tea they brought out a teapot with loose tea instead of a cup with a bag! Haven't seen that except in Chinatown NYC! I ordered the Pan Fried Veggie, Lamb with onion and Beef with mushrooms. All very tasty. The dumplings were tender hot and delicious. The counter/server person was friendly and polite. The atmosphere is one step up from a Chinese takeout place with more seating but it's clean, including the bathroom. Worth trying. Sorry my photos were taken after we attacked the dumplings

Everything from food to service was amazing! We had chicken lo mein (best tasting I've ever had), dumplings and egg drop soup. Will definitely be returning.

this review is for takeout from the original palace dumplings on route nine Wappingers Falls. House dumplings is reliable and delivering delicious, simple, straightforward food that you know has been handcrafted. Forget about the ambience, which is updated a bit since Covid but not the reason for dining here. I can't speak to the service because this was takeout. I can make some recommendations, however if you are planning to take out rather than dine in: dumplings that travel well are pan fried not steamed. The steamed dumplings are more delicate and tend to stick together. The layered cucumbers is a great item for a sweet spicy cool down this summer. Other favorites for dining in not taking out are the beef noodle soup ( doesn't travel well), and any of the long noodle dishes. we love Palace dumplings, the original and the new location as well

Lamb dumplings

Unexpected delight. I enjoyed the lamb dumplings. They were exquisite. My lunch mate ordered pan fried pork & scallion dumplings. She said they were delicious but only fried on one side. I also ordered the fried rice with shrimp, sausage & vegetables. It didn't seem to be fried enough, which resulted in the rice being slightly oily. It contained 6 tiny shrimp and about the same number of slices of sausage. The vegetables were carrots, peas & onions. The service was fine. When we first went in, we were the only diners. As time went on, more diners & take out orders appeared. Even with only one waiter, our service did not change; that was commendable. The seating was close so it can get noisy. But overall it was a pleasant dining experience. There is plenty of parking in the lot.

Such a good spot! I've heard about this place for a while and had to drive up to try it. Their fried beef and onion dumpling was so good, my favorite of the two we got, with the steamed pork and shrimp dumpling tasting like a really good wonton. You can tell their dough and fillings are fresh. Also really enjoyed their unique flavor salad with chicken and horseradish. Would skip the bubble tea next time which was too sweet and get a ton more dumplings. The whole vibe of the place is so laidback and Jeremiah our server was the best! Had such helpful recommendations and was so generous and kind to us. 5 stars!!!

Steamed Beef with Onion Dumplings

Was in the Poughkeepsie area and no visit ends until a meal is eaten (or picked up) at Palace Dumplings in Wappingers. Everything is made in house from the Dumplings to the noodles to the chili oil. It is a straight to the point kind of place and what they do, they do to perfection. Everything was delicious. It has hole in the wall vibes but in the best meaning possible. When you eat here, it feels like you found a hidden gem. Couldn't recommend more. Worth a drive of 30 minutes or less

After a brewery, I was trying to figure out what to do for food. I always look for local places when traveling. There were a lot of choices but also not at the same time. There were chains and some 3/5 rated places. I looked for highly rated places and I found Palace Dumplings. In the description, it says a family tradition for the dumpling recipes. When looking up reviews, people said they would travel far for the dumplings AND the sesame noodles. I was sold! Inside there was no music playing. We did arrive the last hour they were open. We were seated quickly. I really liked how they had a few variety of sauces for dipping. They had a turmeric, soy sauce, and ginner soy sauce. I absolutely loved the ginger soy sauce. It worked so perfectly with the dumplings. Now for the sesame noodle. I was nervous at first. I picked out all the raw onions. I mixed everything together and WOW! It's like a sweet peanut butter sauce. The texture was great and I really liked it. It's a big serving too. I had a lot for leftovers. Overall, would go back again.

I've lost count of how many times I've come here and every time is delicious and just great service even on the busiest nights! The shrimp dumplings are my favorite but I've also had chicken and beef. The fried rice comes with fried sausages and shrimp that's the perfect combination with the dumplings. The ultimate side that's almost a palate cleanser since it has a tangy vinaigrette taste is the cucumber salad it's not super spicy but has a nice flavor. In case you can't finish your whole order they even have to go baggies of their home made sauces. It may look unassuming from the outside but this place is one of my favorites for comfort dumplings. Every single time I've come the food has always been freshly prepared I can't recommend it enough.

Pork and Chive Dumplings

These dumplings rock! Needing a quick fix on a Saturday morning and these dumplings more than hit the spot. I was shocked on the first bite how great these were. The Pork and Chive was piping hot and very tasty. I didn't even need any soy sauce with these dumplings but do grab some hot sauce if you like yours spicy. They have a limited menu and are focused on dumplings so if you aren't into dumplings go elsewhere! Pro Tip: They are quite popular it seems with a 25+ minute wait during peak times lasting into the early afternoon. So call ahead to limit your wait.

Take out. Dumplings were delicious. Didn't see place since coworker picked up food. Order was not correct but he fixed it.

Great choices, fun and good food. Third time and it is somewhat busy, because it's popular.

But it's not a big gripe because the food is always well seasoned even if it isn't peppery. This is the only restaurant I can think of where I've taken many guests and every one of them said it was one of their favorites. I love this spot. They accept cards but appreciate cash.

Great service and friendly staff at this Sri Lankan restaurant…read more The manager/owner used to be a chef at the UN after traveling the world for various stints after leaving Sri Lanka at age 25. He will fill you with his wealth of knowledge of Sri Lankan food as well as how his food is pure and wholesome. Food was very good. I had Sri Lankan rice entree specialty dish. Except for the the shrimp tasting like dried shrimp - which I hate with a passion the rest of the dish was pretty good. No complaints from my other guests who enjoyed their meals. The dessert was great. They have both vegetarian (including goat, beef, pork, shrimp, squid, and chicken) and non-vegetarian options. It fell short of five stars for two reasons: 1. the dried shrimp or dried fish taste in the dish (shimp, calamari, and chicken); and 2. the moderately high prices (I can only compare to prices at Indian restaurants in the city, and what people are typically paying for the same portion size at casual sit down restaurants) Since we don't frequent this location often it is a treat to stop by every once in awhile and introduce my friends to it. If you are on a budget and consume large volumes of food to be full, this is most likely a one off or a place you may want to skip. Otherwise, enjoy it. On premise parking lot and seems ADA compliant. It looks like it is in a house, but inside it is comfortable and casual. It appears there is allot more local customers than visitors from out of town. The interior plays tourist information on Sri Lanka while the interior is also decorated in culturally appropriate ascents. We were there on a Saturday for dinner and the space was fairly empty - perhaps two other tables occupied. It is in sort of a remote area outside the main drag of Beacon most are familiar with (not within reasonable walking distance). It's worth a try, especially if you are interested in healthier forms of food (ingredients).
