was in the area and wanted to try here, I order ahead and they very polite and told me how long to wait. so after waiting I came by to get my order. very polite and asked me if needed any sauce or utensils, which normally you have to remind these place, glad they beat me to chase on questions. i got the happy family and a egg drop-wonton soup. the sauce for happy family was very rich and gravy like, the beef was so tender and moist practically like butter when eating it, chicken was good and not really much to say, veggies were fresh and well bathed in the sauce. char sui pork was well sauced and seasoned, shrimp was great, but I wish more came with the meal. side of white rice was steamed and fresh, love pouring the sauce on it from the happy family. egg drop wonton soup's broth here is bit more thicker then other places i noticed and not overloaded on eggs, wontons were great and not doughy in the middle like some wontons cooked in soup. overall great first visit read more

Food is bland, especially the Chicken and broccoli. I prefer brown rice but I was told they will never have it. I told them about my allergy of bell peppers before I ordered... well she didn't sto me from ordering the steamed dumplings which contained peppers along with the spicy sauce... wasn't a good night. Was going to try another Chinese food restaurant in the area, but alas they are closed on Tuesday! Ordered $60 worth of food for 4 people. Fried dumplings and vegetable egg rolls were tasty. Boneless spare ribs were burned a bit. Egg roll was light, crispy, and a little oily. Quart of shrimp with broccoli and chicken in garlic sauce lunch special were decent, but the portions were not generous, especially for the price. Would order again. read more

My Husband and I have eaten at Great Wall a lot! We would usually order Shrimp with Broccoli and Garlic Sauce on the side for me. My husband would usually get Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. We also would get Pork Fried Rice or House Special Fried Rice Barbecue Spare Ribs Dumplings Fried Chicken Wings Eggrolls Seafood Soup Hot & Sour Soup Pork with Mushrooms Wontons Crab Rangoon's Fantail Shrimp Poo Poo Platter and so many other things from Great Wall!!!! To me it says a lot when I can say that we have never ever gotten sick from eating at Great Wall. We actually had Chinese Food for dinner on Friday, May 21, 2021. So I took the last reviewers advice and read the google comments and they were great so I ordered. I think they paid ppl for those reviews....Everything was bad. Why I decided to abandon Panda or Chang's and try something new was beyond me. I ordered Sesame Chicken combo and was assured it was white meat- it wasn't and all of it was dried out and stringy. The rice lasted like minute rice and was mushy w no flavor. Egg roll wasn't crispy and tasted weird- I only had one bite. Ive never gotten sick once, prices are fair, service is fast. I had been going here for years and the food is usually good. However, when I ordered food last week and went to pick I up, not only weren't the men cooking the food not wearing masks, but the mask on the woman at the register was not covering her nose. She said it slipped down, but did nothing to fix it. When I complained to the woman manager/owner that I didn't feel safe eating the food, she really wanted to get rid of me and gave me my money back. (I had prepaid with a cc over the phone). I instead ordered food from Kam Fung in the Brotherhood Plaza on Washingtonville. The food was delicious, the people working there were very friendly and helpful, and everyone was wearing masks including the people cooking the food. The food was very slightly more expensive than Great Wall and you have to pay by check or with cash because they don't accept credit cards, but the food was fresh and definitely worth it! Me and a few of my coworkers ordered from here a few times, but we will no longer be ordering from them. They must have changed management because the last couple times were bad. The first time, one of my coworkers found a staple in their chicken. When we called them, they did refund the order, but still... The food is average and the personalities are average. They aren't rude like the Happy Garden up the street, but the food isn't quite as good as the Panda Peking House in Cornwall.
