We were passing through town late and this was a great pick for a classic chicken with broccoli, boneless spare rib, and hot and sour soup. While it didn't make my top list of Chinese food restaurants, I'd absolutely return for another late-night drive through Newburgh. This is arguably the best Chinese spot in the local area. I've always ordered here. They're also not stingy with the sauces and make the food fresh to go. I have never had an issue with the food quality and it's always been delicious. The prices are typical for post-COVID. The service is pretty great as well. It's usually about a 15 minute wait for the food. Also, due to COVID they have shut down dining in, so you will have to order and pay through a plastic window lol. I have to say this place was better than I expected. The staff was beyond helpful and nice! The food was good too. I got the Chicken Fried Rice, BBQ Short Ribs, Chicken Wings, Chicken Low Mein and General Tao's Chicken. My favorite was the Ribs and Tao Chicken. The flavor was good for both but the ribs could have used some extra sauce, they got a little dry after the container was open and it cooled. The rice was ok. Probably the least favorite of the items. It didn't have much flavor and it was not a 'fried' rice to me. I was very disappointed in this item and thus why they lost a star sad to say. My two kids and wife devoured the Low Mein. I think it was good but not the best I have had at other places. Still a good choice though. The prices were very good but since covid everything has gone up sadly. I came here back in 2014 on a trip and it was good back then and still is worth a stop to try it. So let me say that I never tried this place before because my previous Chinese restaurant has been doing a good job for many years. So there was no reason for me to even think about changing. However when their service started to slip along with their food quality. (Us getting food poisoning the last three times we ordered) We needed a new Chinese food place ASAP. So we tried this place three times now and let me tell you it's as close as you can get to the food in Taiwan or Hong Kong Chinese food. Yes there are some differences because of the American pallet but this food is fresh, made with good ingredients and well executed. The fried rice is made fresh and not kept around for hours, the wonton soup has amazing wontons in it. So fresh and well made. I'm a fan may this place only get better. The very first time I went here, the food was terrible. We vowed never to return. But 3 months later we felt like Chinese and somehow I had forgotten the name and ordered over the phone. When we arrived for pickup, I realized I had ordered from this place but it was too late, the order was ready. I ordered the hot and spicy noodles and the chicken and shrimp roll.
