I think they're great, the vibe can be a little offsetting, but the food is great, the people are great and it's overall a really good place

Fabulous Sesame Chicken! Great Wonton Soup--the broth is spot on, and pork broth not chicken. The right way! Excited to try more!

We have eaten here several times and have had many dishes. Shrimp was fresh and vegetables were tasty. Fresh and not greasy. Yum.

Best Chinese food restaurant in the area, much better than the Poughkeepsie Chinese restaurants.

Palace Dumplings - NEW ITEM: Soup Dumplings

Palace Dumplings

Thank god I don't live close to this place or I'd be compelled to work through the entire list of…read more40+ different dumplings. The fried pork and chive dumplings were great. The egg and shrimp dumplings... were different. They're a different flavor and consistency that I've ever been exposed to in dumplings which was interesting, but not my favorite. Anyways, the stand is very friendly, very attentive and the food is fast! Definitely a good spot!

4 stars...just a little more attention to detail and I'd punch it up to 5…read more. I was in the mood for dumplings and Palace dumplings has a 4+star rating on Yelp. Prices seemed reasonable, and location is prime for easy parking. The restaurant was pretty full when we arrived around 6p. We were told to sit anywhere, so we looked for a comfortable two top. We found one in the back, along side some counter top seating. The server delivered the menus and promptly asked for our beverage orders, honestly the way she said it I expected a full bar but no.. just bottled soft drinks, water and tea. I decided on a pot of green, a steal at $1.50/ pot or person. Refills on hot water graciously given throughout dinner. My wife was happy with water. We ordered the Chicken Lo Mein ($11.99,) Shrimp & Cabbage Dumplings ($15.99) and Pork & Cabbage Dumplings ($11.99.) The Lo Mein came out like the speed of light and piping hot. The Pork and Cabbage Dumplings followed right behind, it was then we knew, we ordered way too much food, and we hadn't even received our Shrimp dumplings yet. The servings are large for the price! What a good problem to have right!?! LEFTOVERS! We had enough time before the Shrimp dumplings came out to consolidate plates as the table was quite small, with the two serving plates of food, my tea pot and cup, both water cups, a napkin holder and a large wooden holder for sauces. Our table was at capacity. I looked at my Wife and knew she was thinking the same thing... "next time we'll do take out!" In my opinion this location for Palace Dumplings is strictly for the college crowd or the super casual diner. I thought the food was really good, but the dining experience not so much. Service was kind but the whole place was kinda sticky, bathroom wasn't clean enough and the seating is mildly uncomfortable. Overall a decent spot for a dumpling craving. Ok it's Christmas Eve and most restaurants are closed for the evening after 6pm near Hyde Park. My…read moredaughter recalls eating here with her bestie so we check to see if they are open. They answered the phone , "Yes we are open to 10pm" so we make a bee line to Yeungs Kitchen. This place was packed with people picking up orders and more coming in as we waited for our food. Super busy spot off Dutchess Turnpike just past Adams. We ordered Fried Dumplings, Shrimp Toast, boneless spare ribs, General Tso with veggie lomein and Sweet Sour chicken. So far hands down best Chinese food since moving to Dutchess County. It's a bit of a drive from Hyde Park and we pass 3 other Chinese restaurants but I honestly think the food was amazing and not greasy. I will Definitely try them again and hope to make this my go to Chinese take out place. PS they are open Christmas and New Years.

Nice change of pace to find a place that good to customers and starts the food fast. I barely waited 5 minutes and my order was ready, as like wow less than usual 10-15 minutes standard. Plus thanked for my order as well. So for the food, shrimp were cooked perfectly same with broccoli and bathed in plenty of sauce, so glad they were not cheap with it, skewers were tender and flavorful. Even though it took a shorter than usual time to it, there was no loss in quality. I did notice this first place I found not to offer a soup with lunch specials, was bummed about that, but on the flip side their lunch specials were cheaper overall price point.

Food here is normally average. Sadly, it's the closest Chinese for us. Picked up an order tonight,…read moreincluding a large order of ribs. As soon as I opened the box, I could tell the ribs would be awful. They were overcooked, black and hard like old beef jerky. The lo mein was watery. We called to tell them and they were indifferent. They offered to remake them, but we asked for a refund. Drove back to the restaurant, handed them the box. The woman looked at them, threw them in the trash and handed the cash back and said, "Here." No apology. No nothing. Rude service and bad food. We won't be back.

Pleasant staff and was grateful for you placing an order and thanked you. So I think it's great…read morethey have daily special section on the menu since some of more pricey stuff can be cheaper there like the triple delight, plus with lunch menu it's nice they separate the meats into there own selections, also very cheap for a lunch menu since other places it's more. The triple delight was great, plenty of meat and the garlic sauce, again it was like almost 4$ getting off the daily specials then the chef special section. The fried fish was very crispy and not all did the meat looked like shrinked while frying, the tartar sauce was great and wish the cup was bigger to dip into. Never seen craw fish fried rice on any Chinese take out menu, so had to try it, to me it was pretty mid fried rice, decent but not great, as for the craw fish bits there was plenty and it had that imitation crab meat as well, so it was more like a seafood fried rice than just crawfish. Overall a decent menu here, Definitely worth the value here.
