All veggies were pretty fresh and not cooked to mush. White rice was fine, not mush or dried out. For fried crab sticks, first place I been too, that wrap them in spring rolls then fry them as opposed to a tempura batter. It's better since it's more crab than fried batter. Overall worth the drive to try them. Also the staff was pretty friendly, it did not feel like I was bothering them to order, which other take out places give out that vibe.

The individual taking my order over the phone basically spoke in a whisper so I couldn't understand what they were saying but the order was correct. There is no dining inside the place, only carry out. But you can see the area where they prep the food and it does not look like it has been cleaned in a while. The guy that cashed me out when I got there helped finishing prepping and bagging my food when he was done with my transaction and didn't wash his hands or wear gloves. Maybe that adds to the flavor of the food . But we have eaten there again since. So I'll be going back.

You know the kind: the places with the scratched up, graffiti plexiglass windows dividing you from their kitchen. The hood spots in other words. I know them all too well especially those in The Bronx. And not every Chinese takeout joint has the same template. In comes Hong Kong on Route 28 in Boiceville- not far from Woodstock. This place has a wide order window- without the plexiglass. And has a table or two for sit-down eating. If you feel like you're missing out, fear not- all the takeout classics and some healthy options are here. Hubs brought home broccoli in brown sauce for me, shrimp chop suey to share and a pork fried rice for him. The first 2 were fantastic. Every nook and cranny of the sauce coated the florets perfectly. The shrimp chop suey we shared had a nice amount of veggies and the sauce made the dish come together with fantastic flavor. Hubs was on the fence with Hong Kong's pork fried rice- because theirs, doesn't have that 'fried' look to it. It's more his preference, but he enjoyed it. Service is efficient and pleasant. Whether folks like or not, the food is a delight. To us, this was Chinese food hell to the mofo yeah.

Definitely I will. So the warm Dan Dan noodles were good, well spiced, but not overwhelming and noodles themselves were chewy. Sizzling shrimp, first huge jumbo shrimp so very generous on portions, plus cooked just right and bathe completely in the sauce, plenty of diced onions and peppers and mildly spicy over all. Chicken in chili oil was my favorite, I mean a whole cut chicken fit in that container, both white and dark meat, was tender and moist, plus the chili oil was just right spicy level without being assertive. This place I find special considering it's more of authentic Chinese cuisine rather than the typical Americanized version, that alone is a big draw for this place.

I ordered the moo shoo pork, shrimp with lobster sauce and egg drop soup with wontons. The soup was the only thing I th thought was palatable. The moo shoo was full of celery and I hate celery. I think it supposed to be mostly cabbage and other vegetables. Pork out of a can maybe? And when I got home and opened the shrimp w lobster sauce it was just a blob, very unappetizing to the eye besides fishing around I only found 4 shrimp that were overcooked. Maybe I should have gone with my gut because the place was empty and when I walked in there was nothing going on in the kitchen I mean total silence. The lady at the front was happy to see me. No customers should have been my tell tale sign. No bueno.
