The service here was fast - very fast. And the food was pretty good considering the prices are cheap. However, I did have some issues. When I called to order, the guy repeated back to me only part of my order. When I tried to confirm the portion he left out, he interrupted me and said "YEAH I GOT IT". When I got there to pick up our food, I was missing the part of the order I had tried to confirm with him - the part he said he'd 'GOT'. They fixed it quickly, but why did it need to happen in the first place? Bubble tea was warm. I also ordered Scallops and Broccoli, and there were only four pieces of scallop in there, sliced as thin as a quarter. So: the service was fast and friendly. I was in and out. The restaurant looks kinda run down and dirty. I got the boneless spare ribs lunch special. Comes with fried rice. I thought there would be an egg roll being it was a special, but no. The portion of food was good for 8 and change though. The food itself? Meh. The ribs were dried out and tasted like there was bbq sauce somewhere in there. Some pieces were just grizzled fat. The meal was VERY salty. The rice was good, but had only miniscule pieces of pork. So, it was fast and filling, but just didn't taste that great. I'd skip this place in the future unless I was in a real food-jam. But, there's a really good pizzeria next door so I don't see that happening any time soon! read more

This is excellent take-out. It's in a run down area and I'm not sure I'd go there alone at night for that reason. The interior of the place is clean enough, but harsh lighting with no decor. Yeung Ho Number One closed over several years ago. Yeung Ho II is crazy busy due to: great food and Marist College being directly across the street. The funny thing is that the food was always better in location number 2. They have great Chicken & Broccoli...the chicken IS chicken and it's juicy. The broccoli is crisp and fresh tasting. Their spring rolls are a favorite for me because they're never drenched in oil. The wonton soup is good and mega yellow (like all take-out wonton soups). I called to get a menu.. Just a menu, she answered the phone "hello". Then she asked where I was and couldn't get my address right. I repeated several times, I need a menu. She said we have no online menu. I asked if I could have one faxed to me but she was so lost I gave up. Does anyone know if there is a menu for them anywhere. I usually only get a few things from Chinese Restaurants, due to past experiences of getting sick from eating various things. I tend to always get Chicken Wings and French fries from Chinese spots. Chicken wings have become a staple in Chinese Restaurants in my opinion, especially in NY Chinese Restaurants. The chicken wings here did not do it for me. They were very bland to me, and they were not fried hard enough. I have had much better in Poughkeepsie. Won't be returning to try anything else. My go-to Asian takeout restaurant. Really great tasty food at a low price with great portion sizes. My favorite dishes are the sesame chicken and the shrimp lo mein. The food is ready in a short amount of time and they do pick up or delivery. There are a lot of complaints in other reviews with over the phone ordering but I have never had an issue. Called today to order food and was absolutely disgusted with the lack of customer service from the person on the phone. We placed it on a card and the card in question was declined so we were pulling out another card when we were told that we were wasting his time and to call back when we had our card ready followed by him hanging up. After calling back again I demanded to speak with a manager and the call person would not hand me to a manager until I "ordered food". I finally got to a manager and explained the situation and he brushed me off and asked if I was ready to pay or not after a short and quick "sorry" and nothing more. After asking the question on whether or not they would do something for my time and being so rude, the manager simply hung up with saying nothing. Absolutely disgusted. Thank heavens for Yeung Ho 2! As far as Chinese delivery goes, this place is outstanding. The combos are where it's at. Chicken & Broccoli with fried rice, egg roll, and soda - all for under $10. This is not exotic or gourmet Chinese food, let alone authentic, but it is exactly what you crave. I have lived in several other cities since I lived in Poughkeepsie, but no Chinese delivery joint has provided me with the same level of satisfaction. I can still picture opening the brown bag and removing the clear plastic lid from the aluminum tray to starting eating straight from the container. You can determine the intensity of spicy you want and they and pretty accommodating to special requests (even when all I wanted was a pint of tofu, by itself). Don't trust the food. I called with a special order for fried rice and was informed that they make it ahead and can't do it special. All I wanted was no soy sauce (which any other place had never had a problem). The woman on the phone said they make it ahead and then just add the meat. Ewwwwwww. How long has it been sitting.
